Upon arrival HVAC unit not working no parking passNo working bicycle until last dayHuge water leak/sewer back up, aweful smellLaundry and dish washer impactedHuge inconvience constantly calling property managerFor being a newly remodeled apartment there were multiple issue that should have be addressed.

This was our third family trip to Hilton Head Island, and hands down this is the best condo we've rented. The location could not have been any better. The condo is even bigger than one we rented that was more than a 1/2 mile to the beach 2 years ago. We ate our evening meals outside every night we could on the 6 person patio table since it was shaded by the building. There was a gas grill outside, but we didn't use it. the beach box had plenty of chairs, some sand toys, and even a beach wagon to haul everything to the shore. there was also a big beach umbrella. Our girls loved that we saw a bunny every day, and we even spotted two deer and one turtle when we were on the boardwalk to the beach. heading down the beach to the south west was a little less crowded than heading to the north east. There was even a marked logger head turtle nest on the beach. The family is already dreaming of returning to this exact condo again next year.

This unit might have the best location of any rental I’ve stayed at over the last 20 years of visiting HHI. It is right on the beach. You can hear and (kind of) see the ocean. You can walk right out of the back sliding glass door and be on the boardwalk to the beach. You can walk right out the front door and be at your car. It is a short bike ride to tons of restaurants and stores. We had amazing weather and were so happy with this find. We hope to be back soon.

This is a very nice condo with an excellent location on the beach. Nice and clean. Convenient to local stores and restaurants. Nice and quiet neighborhood. Only quibble is the thermostat. I’m not generally tech challenged but I couldn’t change temp setting. Overall a very nice stay.

The place was amazing. Exactly as described in the pictures. Had everything needed for the stay. Amazing location in a gated community and short walk to downtown area. Great area to ride bikes with kids. Sadly in August, the ocean was full of jelly fish so we could not go in the ocean. But would definitely return there earlier in the summer

The location of this property is amazing!!! Steps from the pool and walk way to the beach! The unit has been updated nicely, and my family enjoyed their time there. The biggest drawback is the lack of air in the 2nd bedroom. It was very HOT at night even with the box fan running and air turned down. The kids were unable to sleep well and had to get up and move to the couch at times.

This was our first time renting Ocean Club 43 and our first and last time renting through Island Rentals. <br/>When we arrived at the unit, at our check in time, it had not been cleaned from the previous renters. Unmade bed, dirty linens, dirty plates and food trash throughout. Cleaners showed up while we were there so we left and went to dinner. We got back as the cleaners were just "finishing" up. When we went in, the mastered bedroom sheets had not been changed from previous renters, dirt and hair in the sheets and the comforter had just been pulled up over them. In the second bedroom, one bed had no bottom sheet just a sheet draped over the bare mattress and the second bed had no top sheet. Plates were put back in the cabinet not cleaned. Trash was left in bottom of cabinet and not removed. The bathrooms were filthy with hair and debris behind the doors. And this was during the COVID pandemic. Rental company said they were taking extra precautions but I did not see that. I called the management company for the second time and they sent another set of cleaners out. They cleaned what should have been cleaned the first time and before our arrival. Islands Rentals said they would refund my cleaning fee but they have yet to do so and that was a month ago. I keep calling and inquiring about it but no response. <br/>Other then the lack of cleanliness the unit is VERY dated. Carpet is filthy and needs to be replaced. Dishes, glasses and kitchenware are a bunch of random mismatched pieces. The appliances are old and need to be replaced. The washing machine leaked and flooded the kitchen floor. Huge water stain on ceiling that had not been repaired from a pipe leak in the above unit. This a pricey unit for the condition it is in. I do not recommend unit 43 and we will not be renting from Island Rentals again. Very disappointed.

Walk out the back onto the grass which is way nicer than what's pictured here, to the lovely boardwalk over the dunes straight to the beach. Sit out here in the evening and watch the storm if you're lucky enough to get one. The house is nice enough but why sit in there?

The condo was clean and exactly as pictured. The main concern we had was that only one vent in the 2nd bedroom was putting out any AC. Property manager sent out AC company and they were unable to access the AC duct without major work and would have to submit an estimate to the condo owner for approval. We used the fans that were in the condo to provide extra cooling for that room. Management did not call us about it. Also, the owners will probably want to replace the dryer and washer because both of them are making a lost of unusual noise; however, they did continue working during our stay. Despite these negatives, we greatly enjoyed our stay!

Easy bike ride to the store and a great walk for the whole family to Coligny Circle and back via the beach. This is our second year at Ocean Club, and unit 43 is our favorite so far.

We did have issues with the corner of kitchen countertop that sticks out into the walkway. It is right at the height of our 3 year old. He came home with bruises on both cheeks as a result of running into the countertop. Wished they had rounded that a warning for anyone with 3-6 year olds. Couldn't get the TV in Master to ever work (even after following the specific directions), but not a big enough deal to call the rental company. Cable service overall was spotty, but again we came for the beach so not a huge problem. No trash bags were provided for the kitchen garbage cans, so glad we brought a box from home. Still, a great stay and a beautiful and clean condo.

The kitchen was well stocked with dishes and utensils.<br/>For the not so great- the front bedroom with double beds stays hot, not matter what the thermostat was set on. This is probably an issue because there were multiple box fans which were absolutely disgustingly filled with caked on lint and dust. I cleaned them diligently trying to remove the dirt to no avail, but they were absolutely needed, especially at night. It&#x2019;s like the HVAC isn&#x2019;t properly routed into the front bedroom. The living room and primary bedroom would be chilly and it would be at least 10+° hotter in the front bedroom. The thermostat was set with a program we let run the first night. After that we were able to override the program, but it didn&#x2019;t help at all. It did not seem as though the unit got a thorough cleaning before we arrived as there was dust on multiple surfaces. The towel rack in the hall bathroom was very loose and even fell out of the wall once from the weight of a wet towel. We actually discovered that the drywall hole was too big for the screw that was being used. We discontinued use of the towel rack after that. Finally, pest control showed while we were eating lunch. A heads up would have been appreciated as we had no notice and felt very uncomfortable. Could we have called the property manager to have these things addressed?
