Spicy Hill Villa

We were welcomed by the staff on arrival and treated with love and respect. The food was so tasty we didn't want to eat anywhere else. The property is amazingly peaceful and a short walk to the river or beach. Highly recommend as a place to escape from the hustle and bustle of life. The staff was my favorite part, they were attentive, kind, and went out of the way to make our stay unforgettable.

This property is a 10!!! The house is absolutely incredible. The help, Dennis, who is the chef but much more than that is world-class. We’ve lived around the world and have had a lot of help but Dennis is among the best we’ve seen. He went above and beyond in everyaspect. Upon arrival, my husband wanted to set up a massage appointment. Within 10 minutes, Dennis was on the phone with the awesome German massage therapist (Nishan) who was at Spicy Villa within the hour. Karen was also amazing and so sweet, holding the baby, making sure everyone was happy and helping clean up. Finally, Richard, the house owner was responsive to my many questions and professional and friendly. Spicy Hill is worth the money and we wished we had stayed more nights. It’s a 2 minute walk to Frenchman’s Cove and 5 minutes from Blue Lagoon.

It was perfect!

The whole team on-site was nothing short of exceptional. Everyone was kind, thoughtful and incredibly helpful. We had an inter-generational family reunion for a weekend, complete with 3 birthdays and our time at Spicy Villa was spectacular. The roads in Portland are absolute murder, so get yourself a 4WD if you can. We made the drive in the rain, but it was sunny and gorgeous our whole visit — and even if it hadn't been, the facilities are so complete we would've had a great time anyways. Would absolutely recommend, and we plan to be back!

Hot water took to long to get hot

The food was superbly prepared and we were treated like Kings and Queens. The main road to the villa was under construction but there was sufficient to entertain us at the villa so we minimized our travel. Loved the games room. Loved the breath-taking sceneries and our morning walks as we became one with nature, listening to and seeing the birds. We enjoyed the mangoes and took pleasure in picking the breadfruit which we later had for breakfast. The property is suitable for persons wanting to relax and enjoy the company of fellow travelers in a delightful ambiance.
