Dies ist ein großartiger Ort, um den Tag mit dem Frühstück und den Vögeln und der Natur rundherum zu beginnen oder sich nach einem ereignisreichen Tag in Sydney bei einem Glas Wein zu entspannen.

Die Wohnung ist auf jeden Fall nur für zwei Personen, es ist eine gut geplante kompakten Raum mit allem, was Sie für einen tollen Urlaub brauchen, und wir sind in einer sehr schönen, ruhigen Wohngegend mit wunderbaren Nachbarn so kein Lärm nach 22.00 Uhr bitte.

Innerhalb von zehn Minuten zu Fuß werden Sie mit einer großen Auswahl an Supermärkten, Gemüsehändler und viele andere Fachgeschäfte finden Sie das neue Stockland Mall.
Entlang der Sydney Road finden Sie so viele verschiedene Arten von Küche in den vielen Restaurants.
Ein großer Coffee-Shop ist nur zwei Minuten zu Fuß durch den Park und öffnet hell und früh, wenn Sie einen Kaffee auf dem Weg zurück von einem frühen Morgen wandern wollen.
Und natürlich ist die lebendige Kultur von Manly und seinen vielen Attraktionen nur 20 Minuten zu Fuß entlang des Hafenweges.

May 2019What I loved most about this place was the serenity. It was absolutely beautiful and loved not hearing the sound of traffic like we usually do when visiting the city.
We loved the nibbles and breakfast provided, it was a nice extra touch to our stay.

May 2021What a great place to stay for a weekend or an extended holiday.
David greeted me upon arrival and the place was everything that we needed. Great little additions like a breakfast supplier with orange juice, eggs, mushrooms, tomato, toast. And fruit for us through our stay. Tea, coffee, biscuits, water and milk.
I cannot recommend this place enough.

Nov 2019This was our favorite stay on our whole Australian vacation! The owners take great pride in supplying a place of solitude and rejuvenation for their guests. While the location is part of an urban area, you have none of the negatives of too much crowding, etc.
The location is on the public walkway around the harbor area of Balgowlah and it is an easy and enjoyable walk to the great restaurants, bars, beaches and ferry system in Manly. Ferries to all sections of Sydney are available here and I don’t think one would ever wait more than 20-30 minutes.
The condo itself is set among beautiful trees and foliage where we saw and listened to the sounds of cockatoos and magpies. It is fully equipped with kitchen equipment which would enable you to cook your own meals, if you wanted to. The owner supplies extras for the renter in the form of snacks and “bites” which were very welcomed and unexpected.
Just below the hillside setting of the condo is a large, open dog park on the edge of the harbor. It was so enjoyable to hear dogs romping and children laughing as they played.
There is also an awesome coffee shop and several local restaurants within easy walking distance that can cure your craving for great brick oven pizza and more!
This place is a true gem and my wife and I definitely plan on staying here on our next visit to Australia!

The position was brilliant, only a pleasant 2k walk into Manly, and some of the best scenery in Sydney within walking distance. The accommodation is compact but extremely comfortable and quiet, and our host was very welcoming.

Dec 2021My husband and I had a lovely weekend staying here. The accommodation was stylish, very well-thought out with everything we needed. The kitchenette had everything we needed, the bed was very comfortable and the shower was excellent. Sitting outside for breakfast looking out over the bushland, park and water made the Hideaway even more special. This was the perfect little place to stay for the weekend and we could have easily stayed longer. David and Elisabeth were wonderful hosts - easy to communicate with before our stay and even catered for our dietary requirements. The breakfast and fruit supplied was a lovely touch. While we were there, David gave us some great local tips about the area which was very useful. The accommodation is a short walk to the main street where there are several restaurants and cafes to keep you busy and the house is also very close to a lovely coastal walk to Manly.

Nov 2020I could not fault this property . Although a small area it was well catered . A comfortable bed & breakfast provisions provided on the 1st morning were very appreciated. The location is in a great spot . Within walking distance of restaurants, shops & Manly . There is a lovely outdoor patio which is a lovely spot to sit & have a drink & enjoy the serenity. The owners were very nice & easy to talk to . My only negative is that it is near a park & can be noisy at times . Also I was very disappointed that the owner chose to get a workman in to instal a lock , which created 3 hours of noise , therefore ruining our afternoon of peace . The owner also has a workshop in his garage & was planeing timber at times . Therefore my 5 star rating became a 3. Weiterlesen

Sep 2020Driving into the accomodation, my partner and I couldn’t believe how beautiful the location was. David was a very friendly host and gave us great advice on places to eat out and visit! The place was both luxurious and cosy, looking out onto Manly harbour. I felt like we’d struck gold, and it was beyond value for money- David even included a wonderful platter for breakfast and some wine.

Dec 2019David & Elisabeth made us feel very welcome at the Hideaway. It had recently been redecorated and everything was spotless. The bed was very comfortable. There was food in the fridge for our first breakfast, a bowl of fruit and a bottle of wine. It was a true ‘hideaway’ tucked away amongst trees looking down on a public park and small inlet and was very peaceful and private. David recommended a coffee shop, Forty Beans, just across the park where we often went for breakfast. We can thoroughly recommend their coffee. There was a comprehensive visitor information folder which we found very helpful. The 25 to 30 minute walk along the MSW to Manly was lovely. From Manly we caught the ferry to Sydney. David also recommended a walk in the other direction from the Hideaway to the Spit - it was a more challenging walk but with great views. We enjoyed sitting out on the terrace in the evenings watching and listening to the various birds. We really enjoyed our stay. Thank you David & Elisabeth. Weiterlesen

Jul 2019David and Elisabeth were fabulous to deal with and went out of their way to make us feel at home in their newly-refurbished, cosy hideaway. It is very peaceful and relaxing. The location is central - walking paths close by and many bus options as well.
Everything was spotless and the bed was very comfortable.
