Jul 2019Wonderful family vacation! We loved this secluded area away from the hustle bustle! The condo was very clean and open with great views of the water! The snorkeling was AMAZING! We will definitely be back!

Nov 2019What an amazing place to stay. The space was large for a family of four, it was very clean, the views were spectacular, the location was perfect and the entire area was completely safe. We could not have chosen a better place to stay. Katrina was very pleasant to work with and always answered my questions within minutes. We highly recommend this place, and in fact, are talking about coming back in 6 months! Thanks for letting us stay!

Nov 2022We stayed at the retreat condo.
It was low season and we were the only ones here more or less. For us this was perfect. Rum point is 40 mins from George Town but very close to Kaibo restaurant where many activities start from and where we had a super lunch.
We enjoyed the Sting Ray sand bar visit immensely from kaibo beach and seeing the blue iguanas at the Queen Elizabeth 2 botanic gardens which is not far.
The crystal caves visit and the bioluminescence kayak trip where all good.
High class apartment with everything for cooking and very comfortable. Can’t fault it really. We love cooking and the kitchen has everything you need . Evening meals on our own with a very calming view on the sea front.
Top tip Bring your own wine, tonic and gin as alcohol is expensive. Everything is available here but pricey.
Very safe place and internet is really fast.

Sep 2019We rent VRBOs regularly and this is definitely one of the best - pristine clean, everything you need, whether eating in or out, and great location with reef snorkeling right outside the back door. Lovely quiet beach at the Retreat with a great bar and restaurant within two mins walk. Our 8 year old loved it and spent hours snorkeling the small reef out from the beach or under the pier - spotted a huge lobster under the night lights at the end of the pier and was so excited! Great location away from the Cruise Ship melee, but still only 40 mins back into town if and when needed - tip: check the Port website for the ship itinerary to understand just how busy it will be each day in Georgetown/Seven Mile Beach. Don’t miss the less visited East Side either - GC has much to offer for all tastes! Overall, a great vacation - kudos to #23 cleaning crew - everything really was in good shape!

Jan 2020We loved staying here! The property was very spacious and well stocked. We didn't feel it was lacking anything. The location could not have been better. We traveled with our six year old son and had a great time soaking up the sun, snorkeling right off shore, catching a few boat excursions from the nearby dock, and just relaxing on the beach or the porch. The beach was always quiet and chairs were always available. Katrina and Matt were available to answer any questions very quickly. I cannot think of anything that could be improved upon and I hope we get the chance to get back there soon. I have stayed on Seven Mile Beach before and I am now a convert to the Rum Point area. So peaceful and relaxing.
Property was exactly as described in the listing, we made a stop at the grocery store on our way in as suggested and stocked up for some meals we knew we wanted to have in. Other than that there were enough restaurant options nearby to keep us satisfied and of course there are more than enough dining options all over the island if you have a car or want to catch a taxi.
Overall, a very lovely time. Thank you Katrina and Matt.

Oct 2019We couldn't be more happier! This property was perfect for our girl's trip. The condo and grounds were very clean and the staff very friendly. Katrina sent all the instructions and tips.... which were extremely helpful. We arrived after office hours but had clear instructions on how to enter.
The location is far from the hustle and bustle.... which was perfect for what we were wanting. Starfish Point was a mile away. We didn't need to book any trip. Just take your snorkle gear and hop in! Red sail is right next door to go swim with the stingrays.....awesome excursion!
This is the perfect property for relaxing. Everything you need is there. Plenty of kitchen utensils, towels, closet space, games, floats, beach towels, and outside shower to rinse off. We enjoyed the conversation cards at the dinner table each night😁�
I am definitely going back to this property and slice of heaven. We all teared up when we had to leave.

Jan 2020Stayed 10 nights for our Anniversary Celebration. Condo was clean and you couldn't ask for a better location. Pretty much had our own "private beach" but for the occasional "passers by". All the people we met were really nice, had a few cocktails together and got to know them a bit while we were there. Was fun watching the crab races on the lawn every morning from the patio. We had everything we needed from kitchen gadgets, beach towels and linens. The washer and dryer came in handy since we had a 10 night stay. Snorkeling was great just steps away from the condo. Being right near the pier was so convenient for our stingray/snorkel tour on the beautiful sail boat booked right next door at Red Sail Sports! Bio-luminescent Bay Electric Boat tour also just steps away booked through Cayman Kayaks. Starfish Point just a short drive up the road near Kaibo Beach Club. The staff at the restaurants were fabulous. It was so convenient to walk just a few yards to grab a bite to eat on the beach for lunch. We ate at the restaurant several times in the evening. Again, the service was great and the food was really good. The weather was perfect and no bugs in sight. The sun sets were gorgeous. Thanks so much Katrina and Matt for sharing your piece of paradise with us!

Jul 2019Rum point was a great place to get away from the crowds and relax and unit 23 where we stayed was ideally situated, clean and comfortable, and well stocked. Lots of great snorkeling straight out the front door although the area was hit a little by sargassum while we were there and you had to get out a bit from shore to get out of murky water...although not really any farther than you would go for good snorkeling regardless. The issue seemed somewhat island-wide while we were there. The restaurants near Rum Point and on north and east sides of the island were great, definitely good to have a rental car for getting around. The wreck bar and grill was nice for lunch but seemed to close early, around 5:30, so be prepared for dinner elsewhere unless you’re cooking at home. The Rum Point Club restaurant right there was also great for dinner, but make sure you keep tabs on days things are open because many places close on Sunday and some on Monday, Tuesday too. You can always find good options open, but may have to drive a little. It’s also smart to plan ahead a little and make reservations which most places take. The new multi-story place next door to the Retreat doesn’t affect any views, etc. from unit 23, and at least it looks like a high end development. On the bright side, once up and running it might give the local rum point restaurants and shops a little boost.

Oct 2019Overall, we had a lovely stay. The property is well maintained, gorgeous views, and being right next to Rum Point Beach Bar was a giant plus. We are used to staying on Seven Mile Beach during our stays, so this location was definitely more remote and more of the typical island feel....tranquil, low key, very relaxing. The time of year we went (late September) is during rainy season so we fought with mosquitoes quite a bit, but it was also gorgeous to see the clouds roll in each day, have a bit of rain and then the glorious sun burst out once again. We snorkeled several days right off the beach and once you get through the turtle grass right off shore...about 50 yards out....opens up to crystal clear water, gorgeous fish and some of the most beautiful coral I’ve seen. We also saw one of the largest live conch shells we’ve ever seen feeding in the turtle grass on our way out. We had an amazing week.

Aug 2019Our third stay at #23 with Katrina handling our booking. Condo is always clean, beds are comfy, and the view is breathtaking with all the love of beach and water anyone can desire. Katrina is always hands on for any questions.
Our family loves this unit and will always book it when we are in Grand Cayman as long as it is available.
The screened in lanai is wonderful for those of us who do not care for full A/C all the time and want to be outside at night without the bugs.
Plenty of storage and closet space. Love her sunbath mat for the water.

Sep 2019My wife and I booked this property for our 25th wedding anniversary and it was exactly what we were looking for. We experienced nice private beach with the option of walking right next door to Rum Point where they have a couple restaurants, bar, waterspouts etc. Great snorkeling right outside the door. Highly recommended.

Dec 2019My husband and I rented this property with our two adult children for 8 days over Christmas. Everything was wonderful. The condo was very comfortable and the views were amazing. We felt blessed each morning to wake up and see the beach and ocean.
We snorkled multiple times a day right out front of our rental and saw an abundance of varied sea life each day. We have traveled the whole island over the course of a couple of visits to Grand Cayman and we can say Rum Point is our favorite part of the island.
The owners are great to work with and made the coordination of renting this property seamless. Thank you !

We snorkled multiple times a day right out front of our rental and saw an abundance of varied sea life each day. We have traveled the whole island over the course of a couple of visits to Grand Cayman and we can say Rum Point is our favorite part of the island.

Feb 2020Great location! Clean beautiful view. Quiet. Beautiful Rum Point next door. Great snorkeling straight out from condo especially good by the marine buoy out about 200 yards.. Friendly people. Felt very safe. Condo well furnished with beach toys, towels, kitchen utinsels.
