Feb 2020We had a unique experience in the Balmaral hotel in Batumi city. Perfect room with perfect view to the sea followed on the next morning with a perfect breakfast at the the cafe Reception. I would suggest it to anyone without any hesitation.
Everything was on a top class. Nothing negative to say.

Boom - boom
Aug 2022Perfect location in one of the modern towers with views but still within minutes walk from Batumi old town.
The problem is that the area is polluted with disco sound (boom - boom). Saturday/Sunday a big rave started around 1am, lasting well into the afternoon. I suspect this was an open air event, so this comment applies to ALL beachfront properties close to Batumi old town in summer. The other nights there was disco sound for several night hours, ceasing at 6am. That was probably local. This renders all apartments unsuitable for residential use and also for leisure use unless guests like to join the party themselves. The disco proprietors save on soundproofing and pass the problem on to residents and hotel guests. In our case the master bedroom was a bit less affected but the other bedroom (two single beds) was useless and we moved one mattress into the lounge.
Generally the were very good and pleasant.
