Feb 2019You can walk for miles on wonderful, white powder sand. Room was right next to the beach. It had a great view of the ocean from our room. Pictures online were a true description of the room and grounds. Felt very safe.

Jun 2018When we arrive the managers were already there waiting and had everything ready to go. The check in took 5 minutes or less. The condo was just as seen in the pictures, except the view was even more beautiful in person. The owners and managers were very accessible and had great recommendations for eating, drinking, and excursions. The property had great security and my family always felt very safe. The pool was great to lounge around. The beach area was very clean and great to swim in. They even provided umbrellas and lounge chairs to shade you from the sun! There are great places to eat and shop in walking distance (5 mins or less). Thank you for allowing us to stay in your condo. We will be back again!

Feb 2019What a great place! Stanza Mare is on the ocean and has a pool and tiki bar/small restaurant with friendly staff. They had great drink specials and very reasonable food prices. It is close to so many fun places to eat both on the beach and a short walk from the gated entrance. We especially liked eating at Citrus. There is 24 hour security on the beach and condo area. The wide beach has beautiful white sand and shaded tiki huts with plenty of lounge chairs. So Amazing! The pool also has lounge chairs and was not crowded. It is a different experience than an all inclusive resort in that you can experience a bit more of the culture/vibe of The Dominican Republic. We found the other renters to be very friendly. The overall feeling at Stanza Mare was very casual. The condo balcony offer great views of the pool and ocean while enjoying the breeze of the island. The condo was tastefully decorated and appointed with everything we needed. There was enough room for our group of 4. We only used air conditioning at night due to the loft getting a bit hot. During the day we left the windows open and were very comfortable. Our property mangers, Vicente and Linda Riveria were so easy to work with. They went above and beyond. They assisted us when our flights were canceled due to weather and even arranged transportation to and from the airport. We would absolutely recommended this beautiful condo! Jan 2019We were very pleased with the condo in Stanza Mare. I can not think of one thing that was missing from the condo. Great kitchen with everything you could need to prepare a meal. Comfy furnishings. The best part was the large patio and the nice comfy lounge chairs. We spent most evening and early mornings enjoying the nice view. Our host were amazing Linda and Vincente were very helpful and sweet. You can tell they really care about their guest. Linda even took us personally to the airport on our flight home.
We would definitely consider staying here again if we return to Punta Cana.

Comfy furnishings. The best part was the large patio and the nice comfy lounge chairs. We spent most evening and early mornings enjoying the nice view. Our host were amazing Linda and Vincente were very helpful and sweet. You can tell they really care about their guest. Linda even took us personally to the airport on our flight home.
We would definitely consider staying here again if we return to Punta Cana.

We felt safe the entire time, the property grounds were maintained daily, the beach was great and everything in the condo was in working order. My only caution is that this is an active condo group so some units may be doing repairs during the day and making some noise, but always during day hours. Would definitely stay again and plan on doing so.

A little frustrated with the frequent power outages. Although most were very short we had one lasting about 45 minutes and the water doesn’t work when the power is out.
Overall a great place to stay!

Aug 2019We had such a wonderful time! Linda & Vicente couldn't have been better hosts...they helped with everything we needed. They both speak perfect English, and Spanish. Linda organized our airport transfers, so that was painless. (Lots of guys will try to "help" with your bags, and some are in airport uniforms, but don't slow down for them.) We felt totally safe, and it was easy to get around the area for dining or groceries. Bella Napoli has great gelato and pizza, and everything is good at Citrus Restaurant (but it's a little pricier).
Also, we had a fantastic scuba experience with Piet Van de Ven with Global Divers/Global Dive Academy! He did my son's open water certification, then took the family out for an amazing (and very safe) diving excursion.
Our only small complaint is that it was difficult to cool the condo's loft for my kids (but we do like it very cold at night). It helps if you turn on the a/c early in the evening. We ran the a/c from about 7pm-9am, and only had a $15 electric bill. The condo has everything you need for a wonderful vacation...I already miss having my morning coffee looking out at the beach!

Jan 2022We felt very "at home" in this condo, it had everything we needed and the hostess was excellent! Only warning, if you can't handle 4 flights of stairs (no elevator) this might not be your "ideal" location. 3 Minute walk across the pool/restaurant to the beach. Wouldn't recommend the restaurant in the complex but there are MANY good eating locations within a 5-10 min walk. The beach restaurant nextdoor on the right, "Soles", was excellent!

Jul 2019We enjoyed our stay in this beautiful condo. The furnishings were lovely, comfortable beds, well equipped kitchen. We enjoyed daily swims in the pool and ocean. The ocean view from the balcony was just like the pictures in the listing!
We also enjoyed exploring restaurants and shopping nearby. There are many restaurant choices within walking distance. We rented a car and explored the area a bit. Met some very friendly and helpful people.
Everything was clean and well kept, with a very nice and available property manager. Would love to stay there again!

Better yet our hosts Vincente and Linda were the best and so accommodating for us. I know we've made life long friends.

Great beach and pool, with chairs and palapas always available. Private Security was excellent keeping non guests out. The Condo was well maintained, clean and nicely decorated. The veranda was amazing with shade throughout the day! Linda was great and we recommend this property 100%.

Feb 2020We are staying at Stanza Mare every year for vacation since 2013. Great location, private beach, restaurants and grocery stores nearby at walking distance. Stanza Mare staffs are great. Jerry delivering the water bottles is efficient.
Apt is as the description, well equiped. The only cons are the apt is on the 4th floor, the 2nd bedbrom is a mezzanine with spiral staircase not easy to climb. Other than that the apt was perfect. We enjoyed our stay.

May 2019We are a family of 4 travelling to DR for the first time. We looked into the "all-inclusive" resorts and decided that they wouldn't work for us. We are very happy to have found this condo! This arrangement was perfect for us - so much better than trying to get a hotel suite or adjoining rooms. The kids were comfortable all week using the twin beds in the loft and basically had their own bathroom. We found the master bedroom with it's sliding door out to the covered deck perfect for us. The pictures and description on VRBO are a great representation of the property and condo, but the beach/ocean view is *even better* than in the pictures!
The condo is spotless and well appointed with coffee maker, blender, and full kitchen. We enjoyed having a coffee maker to start each morning with locally grown coffee, and a blender to make our own frozen drinks with the amazing local fruit (don't miss the fruit truck that is parked just outside the front gate nearly every morning!) We also found that the pool side restaurant/bar was great for a quick bite and/or drinks! We did quite a bit of walking to some of the great local restaurants and the markets during our stay and found the area to be very safe - even at night. The Stanza Mare property is continuously manned by security guards at the front gate and the beach, and there is always another guard patrolling the grounds and pool area. We could be found chilling on the private beach or under the palapas for a few hours each day.
Linda & Vicente were phenomenal hosts! From the moment we booked our stay until Vicente dropped us off at the airport at the end of our stay, they went above and beyond to make sure we were informed, comfortable and happy. They were not intrusive at all, yet when we had a question or needed something, they were always very responsive and a delight to work with. We had lots of questions before our stay began, and Linda answered every one of them with a smile that you could feel right through email. Vicente loves to give restaurant recommendations if you ask for them, and when we did, his suggestions were spot on! He also gave us the real "scoop" on many of the excursions so we knew what to expect beyond the marketing hype. We are not particularly fond of party-boat type excursions, so Vicente even arranged a private snorkeling trip for just the four of us!
There is a very laid-back, easy-going vibe that you can't help but become part of before the end of your stay!

Aug 2020This property was lovely in many different ways. The location was great and the condo itself was beautiful. I suppose if there was one thing I would comment on is that there is an upcharge for using the air conditioning if you exceed what is allowed. That is the first time I've ever experienced that staying at a vacation rental.
The managers of the property were lovely to deal with. Very nice property if you plan a stay at Bavaro beach.

Jul 2022They had a driver pick us up. We stopped at Jumpo and got supplies . The driver stayed with us . The room was clean . We had a beautiful view .Close walk to restaurants pharmacy and Small store with groceries .We loved Kats . We ate breakfast there everyday .Security was great .We felt safe the entire stay .

But if you want fresh fish, meat or vegetables, you need to go to Big supermarket 10 min away by car. Taxi is very expensive... we paid $30 around trip to go to super market. I never cook on vacation, but due to covid, we did not want to eat at the restaurant, so we cooked every day, soIt was a bit inconvenient, not having the dishwasher. There is no washing machine nor Dryer in the unit but laundry service in the lobby. Overall. We enjoyed our stay. Owner and local property managers were very helpful.

Aug 2018The property is a nice size and in a great location. It was fully stocked, there were no instructions for the coffee pot, so we had to get coffee at the pool bar. There is no elevator, so stay on the ground floor or prepare to exercise. Our electric bill was $102 USD, and we ran the air constantly. The loft could get hot at night, but it was tolerable all but one night. The water on the property comes and goes. One day we went for buggie rides...we came home muddy and ready to get in the shower...no water. We bathed in the kiddie pool. Desperate times call for desperate measures.
We were a 5 minute walk to the beach, 2 small grocery stores/markets (which had plenty of choices), gift shops, a pharmacy, numerous restaurants, and bars. Most places took credit cards, and everywhere took USD. We were there for 7 days and did not get to eat at all of the restaurants. Our favorites were Wacamole and The Living Room. They both had great service and great food. We went to The Living Room every night for music and drinks! Ask for Eximar and Krystell...the sweetest!!! The pool bar on the property even had great food with very sweet staff that was very helpful. We could always communicate with the locals knowing very little Spanish.
We never felt nervous or like we were in danger while walking during the day and at night...even with two teenage girls. As far as the property, there was 24 hour security that was almost always visible on the beach, by the pool, and at the entrance.
All in all, we had a great time. My picky teenage daughter even said it was the best vacation she had ever been on. She and a friend stayed in the loft and had their own bathroom. They even laughed at the kiddie pool bath. We would definitely go back.
