What a great view from the balcony! The house was clean however didn’t smell very fresh. The check-in was easy even for our late arrival. The area is a little uncomfortable. Though the listing says it has air conditioning, it is only the bedrooms that does, not the kitchen or dining. The Owner called me late in the evening and disturbed me a bit. Overall the visit was alright with some room for improvement.

Great Condo, Great View, Great Location
We spent six glorious days in Luquillo, PR in April 2017. This was our first visit to the island, and we're hooked. Luquillo is the perfect combination of beach seclusion (most days we had the beach in front of the condo to ourselves) and access to everything from a grocery store to Walgreens and a Wendy's (2 minutes away by car). The condo is comfortable and as pictured. The view is sublime. There are 5 units on the floor. With the exception of over the weekend, we had the whole place to ourselves. It does get a bit noisy when others are in their units because everyone leaves the doors open for airflow. Speaking of airflow - there is A/C in all of the bedrooms but not the main living area - which is really not needed. Opening the patio door and the main unit door cool it nicely, at least when temps are in the 80's. The only "problem" we had with the unit was with the TV/cable. We were not able to get the cable channels to work. We had the major networks, but no cable channels. We did discover the On-Demand feature which gave us significantly more options. Just a note: The surf in front of the unit and adjacent surfing beach was quite rough during our stay with waves in the 4 - 6 foot range. We (adults and older teens) loved playing in them, but folks with little kids might find it too rough for comfort. I would strongly suggest surfing lessons from Brian! He owns the surfing truck that parks at the surfing beach. Two things I would suggest to the owners: at least one additional set of keys should be provided. Keys are required for everything - access to the building and beach, elevator and unit. One set of keys basically means everyone has to stay together or be locked out completely. Second is adding some additional seating in the living room (currently there is one couch - a squeeze for four adults) and the patio (only two chairs provided). Bonus: We found everything we needed for the beach in the closets - beach towels, beach chairs, snorkeling stuff, coolers, and even a boogie board. There is also a very nicely stocked book shelf! We would definitely recommend Luquillo and this condo to others and will be back!

Great view and owner is very helpful and informative
We only got to stay here one night after we got off a cruise ship and the view was absolutely amazing. My wife and I sat on the balcony for a couple of hours listening to the ocean and enjoying the breeze at night. Not only the view but the amenities in the facility that were available to us to use were nice to have. The condo was very clean and Mark was the nicest guy that I have rented from through VRBO. The welcome packet was very informative about the condo and things around Puerto Rico. Gave lots of helpful tips and suggestions on where to eat and things to do. I have 4 children that we brought to his condo and Mark went out of his way to help us with making our short stay better. If I was to rent in Puerto Rico again I will highly recommend renting one of his two condos from him if you are looking for someone who cares about their guests. Thanks again Mark for your help and the use of your home.

Springboard for adventures and good eats
We had a great time.....am glad we got to stay in your place. I definitely liked that NE area better than what we saw of San Juan and Old San Juan. But some of the north coast areas we explored were gorgeous and o very secluded! There were a lot of people in the tourist areas, spring break, but I couldn't believe how empty many of the beaches were. We snorkeled and enjoyed the Seven Seas area after the tour at Cabeza de San Juan Land Trust preserve. A great place. Loved the Kiosks and the beach area near there...calm and lovely. We enjoyed the roaming. We prefer the nature quiet back roads. Drove down along the east coast to a few preserves, had some good birds. More deserted beaches. Great scenery. It did not appear that tourists and visitors got down that way much. Loved el Yunque and returned on the last morning just for a quick walk at the visitor center. Next time might consider going in the other side. But it was easy, accessible and great walking. Food was outstanding. Your suggestions were spot on. Did the Pasta y Puebla twice. Even a couple of the little places we stopped at lunch time, at beach areas were good. Next time I would bring my own snorkel and mask so we could hop in random places more easily. We never really got to any reef areas...but it was fun to just be in water and over mostly grass. Next time I will be more comfortable calling or emailing and making reservations way ahead..as this time a lot was booked up! The people at the Condo were very nice. We really didn't walk in town much..drove. Tried both coffee shops. Loved Aroma and did Lenas too. I just had my morning coffee on the balcony and enjoyed the quiet roar! We did walk pretty far down the beach and came upon a group doing turtle patrol, but there have been no sightings yet. I guess last year was earlier. BTW: I am pretty sure the swallows in the garage are Cave Swallows. A couple attempting nests, others roosting in evening. Jim enjoyed hanging out on the couch in LR....great air, ocean sounds...comfy! SO...your lovely Island is waiting for you! Am sure we will go back. It was great!
