This was the cleanest condo I have ever rented. It had everything we needed and was very comfortable for a family of 5. The area was private and quiet. My only disappointment, and it has nothing to do with the condo, is that the beach alcove was very rocky. Great for sitting, relaxing and admiring the view but not for recreation.

This was our second time in this condo and we enjoyed it. Not only the condo itself but we really like the north side of the island. Not as busy, the private beach and cove are great and the local people are so friendly. We never felt unsafe and had great conversations with some of the locals. Our favorite spots were Island Bites, best malts ever; and Italian Kitchen has the best pizza I've ever tasted!! The condo was clean and comfortable for our 12 day stay. Ernie was very responsive to all our questions before and during. Thanks for a great stay! Hope to be back someday.

This condo was located in an ideal location on Grand Cayman if you are looking for solitude, but not too far from everything. 10-minutes to Run Point, 15-minutes to the East End and 30-minuets to Georgetown/Airport. Lots of beach towels, a couple chairs and a fully equipped kitchen made his the perfect rental for us.

The Old Man Bay location is invitingly quiet, but the various beach activities of Rum Point are within an easy drive. Easy access to restaurants/eateries: Over-the-Edge, Rum Point Restaurant, Run Point “walk-ups”, Caboose, & the nearby “taco” truck. Well-appointed condo with mask, fins, snorkel, beach towels. Condo is in excellent condition. Friendly grounds crew. Barbecue units are available, although we did not use. We enjoyed the well-kept grounds, sitting by the pool & on the beach.

The Apartment is stunning, clean and has everything, the location is great, the pool is warm and wonderful and we had the best time and did not want to leave. Also we run into some self made snag in the first day and the owner was super responsive and nice. I would definitely recommend to stay in the apartment and we would love to rent there again.

Thank you for providing a well equipped unit for a fantastic stay in Grand Cayman. The only thing missing upon our arrival was a coffee maker, which was broken by the previous tenants and was replace the next day. The North Shore is a wonderful area to get away from the crowds. Being snorklers, the location of Old Man Bay is in the middle of everything. Car rental is a necessity to take advantage of this location. We could get to our favorite snorkel spots at Cayman Kai beach, Star fish point, Spotts Beach and Eden Rock within 10-15 minutes. There's always someplace good to snorkel if you pay attention to the wind direction. When the wind is coming out of the Northeast, it's hard to snorkel from the North Shore. On the Bay Condo has a little "lagoon" that provides a barrier so snorkeling is possible even on high wind days and the lagoon has fish ( angel fish, jacks, porcupine and others). The balcony on the unit was wonderful for morning and evening meals and sunset views. I can't say enough about this location and condo. On our next visit to GCM we hope to stay at this unit again. Just got home from a week in Paradise. The condo was perfect for my family of four. 10 and 15 year olds shared the super large bedroom and loved having their own bathroom. The master bath and bedroom were perfect too. Kitchen had all the amenities plus more. Super clean and perfect location. The snorkeling right on beach was awesome. Saw all sorts of tropical fish including a lion fish. The pool was super clean and very refreshing. We liked being a few spots back from the beach so the wind was not so strong. Would go back again for sure.

We were close to Rum Point and took a boat ride to Stingray City and snorkeling. We had planned on doing a sunset cruise, but unfortunately the day we planned was not a great weather day. We were glad we hadnt booked the cruise prior to that day because I dont believe you get your money back if you cancel, they just give you another day. All in all we had a great time!

Just got back from a week at Old Man Bay condo #206 - we had a fantastic trip, packing a lot of activities and beach time into our days. First off, the owners, Ernie and Virginia, have created an amazing oasis in their beachside home, filling it with everything a vacationer could want or need. The pictures really don't do the home justice - it was spacious, clean, and comfortable with great beachy decor. Secondly, the location was perfect. You are away from the crowds and traffic and close to great beaches and activities. Must dos close by: Stingray City (boats leave from Rum Point), Bioluminescent Bay kayaking (at night from Rum Point), and the Queen Elizabeth II Botanic Park are 5-15 minutes away. Not too far: Pedro St James Castle (ask for Stacy Eden Hurlston as your guide - he is descended from the original owners of this oldest home on GC). The beaches nearby were great - if you like beachcombing, this is a fantastic place to visit - we found sea fans, sea beans, sea glass (even some marbles!), urchin tests, sponges, coral (SO much!), and shells. Snorkeling is good, too. (We don't dive but hear it is amazing off GC.) Restaurants are great on the island - we had a car for the week so we were able to check out things near and far. We LOVED Kaibo at Rum Point, but also Tukka in East End (go feed the frigate birds at 5 each afternoon), Eagle Rays (sister restaurant to Tukka), Over the Edge (get the coconut shrimp) just 2 minutes from the condo, Macabuca at the Cracked Conch in West Bay for a sunset, Calypso Grill at Morgan Harbour in West Bay, and Sunshine Grill in the Seven Mile Beach area. Best of all was coming back each day to this fabulous home. Thank you, Ernie and Virginia for your hospitality. We had a wonderful stay and can't wait to come back!

I wish I could wake up here every morning! We had a great time at this very comfortable condo. Many days we had the pool and the beach to ourselves. The condo was very clean and well stocked with items we used everyday like the coffee pot, toaster and blender. Ernie checked in with us when we arrived to make sure everything was ok as did the property manager, Mitzi. We enjoyed being on the quieter side of the island and visited many of the restaurants on the East Side - Tukka, Eagle Rays, The Italian Kitchen, The Lighthouse and Over the Edge. A car is necessary for your stay here but it gives you the freedom to go anywhere you want on the island,. We highly recommend Star Fish Point, Rum Point, QE II Botanic Gardens and the Cayman Turtle Farm. We highly recommend staying here!

If you're looking to get away from the elbow to elbow spacing of Seven Mile Beach - this is the place. You get the beach and all the serenity that goes with it to yourself. You will lack nothing in terms of amenities, and if you cook - it will save you a lot of money as restaurants are expensive. My family had a great stay. The place is immaculate and the owners were 100% responsive to every little need or request.

I can't say enough how wonderful our stay was at this property. My husband and I are still in awe of our amazing vacation here. The condo is completely clean, spacious, and comfortable. We had breakfast every morning on the balcony overlooking the incredible view. While the pictures here are beautiful, in person the views are surreal. It was completely serene sitting by the pool and on the beach. It felt like our private oasis. The location is also wonderful. Just a short drive north to get to Rum Point, and a little further to find Starfish beach. We also like to drive into Seven Mile Beach to check out the shops and restaurants, and we didn't mind the 30-40 min drive where you can see great views of the water and homes along the way. There is no doubt we want to return to this fantastic property! What a dream vacation!

Had a great time staying in Old Man Bay. It is away from the noise & 'tourist traps' of George Town. The view was spectacular, great protected swimming area & beautiful beach. Our condo was neat & clean - had everything you would need for a temporary stay. You will have a bit of a longer drive, but this was our favorite place we've stayed on the island thus far.

As other reviewers have said, this condo really did have it all. Very comfy for our fam of 4. The balcony and its view were great for morning coffee, board games with the kids and just relaxing and listening to the waves. Inside the unit it had everything we needed for a full week, including some extras that were very nice: beach umbrella & chairs, beach towels, extra flippers and snorkels, lots of linens, plenty of kitchen accessories, the list goes on. It had strong wifi and my boys loved their room with the game system, twin beds and their own bathroom. The pool was a wonderful spot and we spent several hours in it and relaxing poolside. I would recommend that bldg management and/or owners have it cleaned more than once a week...during our Sat - Sat stay the pool tech only came once, on Friday. During the week, we scooped a few dead crabs out (I get it, it's the Caribbean) and it collected quite a bit of sand and debris even though rinse buckets and hoses were available...just unaviodable when you have kids about. All but one group that we met on the property had kids. The beach in front of the condo was indeed rocky but not impossible to walk on. Compared to 7 Mile, our little cove seemed less than impressive...my boys chose not to swim in it much. We also did not snorkel in front of the condo although there are some great spots nearby. During our particular week they had several days of rough/choppy seas so we kept to more kid friendly areas like Rum Point and 7 Mile beach for snorkeling. If quiet and peaceful and a good deal for your money are important to you, I highly reco staying in Old Man Bay. This condo was lovely and we would stay again. Owners were very responsive to our pre-trip questions and follow-up after departure when we thought we left something behind. Go, enjoy!
