Condo is clean and comfortable, and meets our needs nicely. Maintenance concerns are always addressed promptly.

The 1109 condo that we have used the last few years fits our needs perfectly. Clean and. comfortable. It is decorated very nicely but doesn't make you feel uncomfortably when housing little people. Great ocean view. Everything easily accessible. Will be back again.

Reviewer Comments: We have stayed and Beach Cottages several times before in a number of units in Beach Cottages and this is the first unit that really is disappointing - a 2-star accommodation at a 5-star price. The unit is well-placed, beautiful view, great for sunbathing. The finishes in the unit are original to the building and sadly in need of updating (tiles, cracking and chipped, doors don't close) and a thorough cleaning (more than the turnaround cleaning in needed e.g. the balcony floor needs to be power washed)) The Master bath has been updated but please replace the rusting soap tower in the shower. The master bedroom needs a new mattress. The bathtub in the second bath is rusting around the drain. We don't expect upscale kitchen & dinner equipment, but the meal equipment is mismatched (e.g. 4 different patterns of flea market silverware), not enough small plates (especially if you rent to 8 people). We have stayed in efficiency motels that are better equipped. Furniture - relatively new sofa and loveseat - dining room chairs & footstool recovered by owner (cheap and not well done). There is a compact stereo that fails to pick up any station without static. Finally my wife washed a beige cover and we found out it was really pink. This owner is bringing down the quality of all the other units in BC by their neglect.

The condo was very nice except for one bedroom that had a very musty smell, did not want to use the closet or the drawers, smell was to strong. We sprayed tryed to air it out didn't help any. The condo had everything needed.

I would not recommend it to anyone. The owner has neglected the interior and it's very dusty, old, and filled with bugs. (Nats). The furnace filter hasn't been changed in nearly a year. The blinds are falling apart. The sofas are old and need to be pitched. The patio deck is filthy and needs powerwashing - it has 40 years of dirty built up. The grout throughout the condo has turned into black mold. Too many issues to list. The property management company may come on here and say they've addressed these issues later, but I assure you they are only relaying the feedback to the owner and the owner is not addressing them. All the prior negative reviews that discuss these same issues are accurate and NOTHING has been repaired or fixed. The bottom line is you should not rent this unit. The views are nice, but everything else inside is very bad. The owner can't even spend $1000 to update the paint, which looks to be the original stuff from the mid 80s. Kitchen counters are original from the 80s and have permanent stains. I actually heard from other people in the building the owner of this unit is a contractor in Chicago...I would be afraid to use his business if this is his idea of a vacation home.
