Oct 2018We were meeting friends for a reunion at SUNY Cortland. This hidden gem fit the bill perfectly. It has everything we needed. We will definitely come there again. Steve and Kathi were wonderful hosts. Highly recommend this efficiency apartment.

Oct 2022We were lucky enough to find this apt at the last minute when we needed to attend a family funeral and most hotels/motels were booked due to it being Family Weekend at Cornell University. Steve and Kathi could not have been more kind and accommodating. This was a perfect spot to recharge ourselves--every clean and w/in easy driving distance to Ithaca. The mattress may need a little updating, but this was a minor issue. We will definitely keep this apt in mind the next time we visit. And again, Steve and Kathi were ever so kind.

Mar 2019We stayed for two nights, didn't have any problems. Easy check-in/out process. Host even messaged us the morning of check out advising we could stay later, if needed, due to the weather. Would stay again!

Oct 2018We really enjoyed our stay here. Kathi was very nice and friendly and the apartment was clean—perfect for the two of us on a four day stay in the area. Just a fifteen minute drive to Ithaca and convenient to many of the state parks and waterfalls and Finger Lakes wine trails.
We’d enjoy staying here again next time we come to Ithaca.

Aug 2021We needed a place that was close to Ithaca. The premises were immaculate. We enjoyed being able to cook our own meals and avoid crowds. The hosts were very welcoming and provided everything we needed.

Oct 2018We loved the Ithaca area, however this place is lacking! Don't fall for the deck comment, this is a basement, drab and dreay. It was decorated in the 60's and the couch is particularly uncomfortabe. The TV is miniscule, a 12 inch screen. The area is hot at night with no way to cool it down except 'leave the door open to the garage,' which smells of gas and oil. The 'hosts' have no consideration - walking about until 11 pm one night and walking about in heels above us early in am. The apartment needs maintence and a serious updating. Planning to come back to Ithaca to visit but will not be staying here. 2 stars is generous.

Aug 2022This was the perfect location for what I needed to accomplish during my visit with comfortable accommodations. The rooms AC worked great in the August heat and the huge bathtub with shower pressure that I could ACTUALLY wash my hair with was a nice surprise! My only glitch was I had such a late arrival at 3am and had to use my phone flashlight to find my way to the keys then the door without any outdoor light. Gracious hosts, quick to respond to texts. As per previous review, I did hear footsteps above but they did not wake me up or affect my stay in any way.

Jul 2017This was a wonderful first experience with HomeAway. Steve and Kathi couldn't have been more hospitable. The apartment was spacious and private and we were very close to downtown Ithaca. After hiking the gorges we got to relax in the Whirlpool tub and the bed was very comfortable. We can't wait to come back.

Sep 2017The efficiency was very clean, and everything was in good shape- Steve and Kathi were very responsive to our needs- they offered to bring us any dishes we needed and even reset their entire wi-fi network when we couldn't connect! It's a quiet space and a quiet neighborhood-we would stay again.

Sep 2022Our stay was for a week. Everything was clean and tidy. The only drawback was that there are not windows so light does not come in. For us this is not a problem. Everything worked well. Communication with Host was prompt. We would stay here again. Easy in and out access. Kitchen was fully furnished.Jet tub was very nice. We would recommend this as a place to stay.

Aug 2017I was traveling for a work trip so mainly I just needed a convenient place to shower and sleep. The apartment was cozy, cool and clean. There was a surprise hot plate, TV and cable box in addition to the other amenities advertised. The house was quiet and the entrance was separate. They gave a spot to park too. Definitely hope to stay here in the future.

Oct 2022It is in the basement of their home. We could hear them stomping around every morning at 6 AM and one morning was at 3 AM didn’t get to sleep in. It seem to be a nice safe neighborhood. Parking is a little tight one side of the driveway.
