Sep 2020We were very happy with our accommodations. The apartment was clean, tastefully decorated, and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The owners, Patty & Mark, were friendly & available for any questions. We liked being right in town so we could walk to shops & restaurants, as well as take walks around the harbor. We especially enjoyed lobster rolls from Shannon’s Unshelled & lattes, breakfast sandwiches, & clam chowder from the Red Door, which is right next door. As another reviewer mentioned, it is worth noting that the apartment is on the third floor and the stairs are narrow, steep, & somewhat uneven, which could be a problem for those with mobility issues. It was fine for us & we appreciated the view of the harbor from above. We also liked the many windows, providing nice breezes & lots of natural light. Overall, a great stay!

We spent our days walking, window shopping and connecting with the locals during the off-season in November. There were no blinds or curtains in living area where futon is so the two people sleeping there had the full sun way too early for their liki

Sep 2019We chose Boothbay in great part because of its unique location of this listing. It is literally across the street from the water right smack in the middle of a very quaint downtown. We loved the property and the view, plus the owners were some of the nicest people we have ever met.

Jul 2017This was our second stay at this lovely second floor apartment. Clean, well appointed and wonderful views with lots of windows for people watching. It is located right in town so it is close to everything Boothbay Harbor has to offer. Owners Patty and Mark were warm and friendly and the free morning coffee in their market was yummy and very welcome. See you next year!!!

Oct 2022This was a perfect location. Right in the heart of town within walking distance of restaurants, stores, shops, coffee shops, and the waterfront amenities. It was also a good home base for day trips. The unit was quaint, a bit crooked and out of level in places, and full of light. The units are upstairs and accessed by steep sets of stairs, something mobility challenged individuals should consider (we’re seniors and had no issues, jus sayin’). We would go back.

Jul 2018This rental was perfect for us, since we like being in the middle of the “the action.” The building is right in the center of town.
The unit itself is a cute, tiny 3rd floor apartment with a small kitchen. It’s appropriate for a couple. The windows look out over Commercial Street, and you can see the water of the harbor inbetween buildings.
The owners are usually available, since they run two of the stores on the ground floor of the building. They’re knowledgeable and very helpful.
We would definitely book this rental again!

Aug 2020This is a great property conveniently located right in Boothbay Harbor. It was nice start every day with a latte from Red Cup (also had great blueberry muffin) and walk around the harbor.
The kitchen was well stock where we cooked our own lobsters (from Scully’s), made linguine with white clam sauce (wine from the general store downstairs), and surf and turf.
Patty, the owner, was very responsive and provided helpful information for the area. She is usually in the general store directly downstairs which made it really convenient whenever we had any questions.

Aug 2018This Harborview unit in Boothbay is so cute! It is located very close to wonderful restaurants and stores. It was so fun to look out over the harbor and quaint buildings. The unit is very clean and stocked with anything you might need for a comfortable stay. It is decorated in a nautical/seascape theme that I just loved.

Oct 2020This clean & comfortable apartment was close to everything and has been decorated to give it a "seaside" feel. The kitchen was well-stocked and living room was just the right size for relaxing. A narrow staircase, unusual wall angles, and gently sloping floor gave the apartment character. Owners are very accessible and made sure we got checked in ok and that we had everything we needed. They also offered great suggestions for dining and activities. The Harbor Mart next door had convenience items and there is a supermarket less than a mile away.This was our first visit to Maine and we really enjoyed strolls along the harbor and across the historic foot bridge. Right across the street are the piers for a variety of boat outings, including the Cabbage Island Clambake. For dining, the Boathouse Bistro stands out and we also ate at the Boothbay Lobster Wharf several times. The Coastal Maine Botanical Garden is nearby and was a highlight. Ocean Point is just a short drive and a terrific spot to see waves crash in on the rocks (especially if there happens to be a storm out in the Atlantic!). Also took day trips to Bar Harbor/Acadia Nat'l Park and to Bath, the Maine Maritime Museum was impressive. A terrific vacation - next time we'll probably stay longer than a week.

Aug 2020This apartment is located in the heart of Boothbay Harbour. You are literally steps away from restaurants, coffee shops, boat cruises, the ocean and shopping. All the restaurants we went to were incredible and we went to a lot while there. Must do’s are Cabbage Island Clambake, Mohegan Island day trip, drive to Ocean Point. We didn’t have time to visit the Botanical Garden but it sounds amazing. Patty and Mark were great hosts, super responsive and made us feel welcome. We will be back again soon!!

Sep 2022The perfect property in the heart of Boothbay Harbor, with lovely views and easy access to everything. This is a great little town to stay in. For those with mobility issues, the stairs up to the apartment are tight so carrying up larger bags can be tricky. Also, there isn't designated parking. It is street parking with limited hours or in a municipal lot. Patty did offer to pay half of the charge if using the municipal lot. Overall, it worked out but just something to be aware of. And, this is a working town so be prepared to wake up early with the deliveries to the shops etc. However, Boothbay Harbor is a great location, close to the Maine Botanical Gardens which were one of the best we have visited, also Pemaquid Point Lighthouse, Ocean Point and Hendricks Beach for beautiful views. Reid State Park beach was another great find on our way back to Portland.

Aug 2022The apartment is bright & sunny, and very cheerfully decorated in classic beach style. Patty is so nice and easily accessible. The location is incredibly convenient, and it was a lot of fun being in the center of harbor. Boothbay is beautiful and has the perfect vacation energy. I lost track of the number of great restaurants that are within a two minute walk; and the shops are terrific too!

Aug 2021Renters should know that "off premise" parking means Municipal parking which has to be paid for every 24hrs. Yes, the host refunded the fees but it seemed unreasonable to me to find change and go and pay every day.

Jul 2022Patty was so accommodating when we had to change dates due to some medical issues last year.The apt location was the best….right in the middle of Boothbay Harbor, and so close to water, restaurants, etc.Apt was adorable with everything we needed.Loved our time there and would recommend!

Sep 2020Patty was amazing and answered all of my questions, even ones that may have been silly. The location was amazing. Parking is a very very minor inconvenience because everything is in walking distance and they kindly reimburse the parking fees, which was very minimal.

Sep 2020Patty and Mark were the perfect hosts. Their apartment was clean, bright and updated. It had everything we needed for our little getaway. We were able to see the beautiful harbor from our windows and we were right in the center of town. The best part was that we were able to walk to everything and enjoy the harbor restaurants and surrounding areas. Patty and Mark were always available to us with ideas and restaurant recommendations. I would love to go back sometime soon!
