Dec 2019This little bach is the iconic kiwi beach place. Nothing fancy, but everything you need for a classic beach holiday. We really enjoyed barbecuing out on the lawn, and the short walk to the beach made our stay!
Cooks Beach is a nice, affordable alternative to explore nearby Whitianga , Hot Water Beach and Hahei from.

Jan 2019Simple and basic facilities. Quite retro. Nice little deck for outdoor relaxing. Small. Everything easy to clean. I would prefer duvets to bedspreads then you don't need to bring the whole duvet, just a cover. Nice and handy to estuary. Good communication with owner.

Jan 2022Our family spent 11 nights at this quintessential kiwi bach and loved every minute. Perfect for a family of four. Close to the beach, boat ramp and Purangi estuary on a quiet street. Highly recommend and we would love to come back.

Oct 2019no wifi, we loved that about this place as we are on holiday no phones or tablets, kiwi batch close to beach and whitianga, take the ferry over to town, the ferry even runs from 8pm till 10pm late, take away shop just down the road and bottle shop if thats what your into, nice restaurant as well. we loved it, small ease to tide and clean perfect for family looking for kiwi batch with no wifi for a few days away, shot drive to many attraction for kids like water works, whiti farm park, fun zone for older kids and the beach is a walk away. over all highly recommended, would stay again for the peace and quite it offers i didn get to walk on beach thanks to the rain may be next time.

Apr 2019Lovely basic beach Bach for checking out all the surrounding bays, digging in the sand at Hot Water beach and after driving to Hahei Beach walking to cathedral cove, and the ferry to Whitianga.

Feb 2018Great for a small family and very close to the beach and estuary within walking distance. The small court yard was safe for our toddler. We did meet the neighbours and they were lovely. We will definitely be back.

Feb 2022Graham’s bach at Cooks Beach was just what we were looking for this weekend. Nice and close to Purangi river for the kids and in a quiet family oriented area so napping the baby and entertaining the toddler was just perfect. Thanks for having us to stay!

Jan 2020A small bach that had everything necessary, including a generous deck with BBQ, which we sadly did not have time to utilise. We will have to book for longer next time to fully enjoy it. Great access to the beach and the estuary. Thank you for a great short stay.
