Oct 2021We’ve stayed in many vacation rentals, but this one was “hands down” the best in terms of location, decor of the condo, cleanliness and value. The Kolea community is beautiful and very well maintained—we especially enjoyed the pool area with it’s views of the beach—comfortable lounge chairs too! The condo itself had everything we needed, we used the grill on the lanai every night and loved being able to open the sliding doors all the way to enjoy the ocean breezes. Check in was very easy, everything we needed was already in the condo. If we’re lucky enough to return to the island in the near future, we’d definitely choose this place!

Oct 2021We stayed in 16-F and the property was beautiful, well-kept, top appliances, clean and all the amenities (and more) that you could want/need. Property was beautiful and well-kept. Walking distance to King's and Queen's Villages. Peaceful and quiet and an overall wonderful stay. We will be back!

Oct 2022We stayed here for the Ironman championship. Both the participants and the family found the place great to stay, everything we need is around the property without being too crowded. Kona is also a short 30min drive away. Property itself is in great condition with lots of space. Highly recommended.

Feb 2019We loved our winter getaway to Hawaii and enjoyed this villa property very much. It is in an excellent location and is a great development with a beautiful pool that fronts to the ocean. The villa was quiet, very clean, well-furnished and equipped. Hannah was a joy to communicate with and was very helpful in providing us with all the information we needed as well as good information on all the local activities and restaurants. We loved sitting on the Lanai; and, we absolutely loved being able to see the beach from the pool area, and being able to walk to restaurants and shops. We look forward to returning again to this villa next winter. The property and owner both warrant an excellent recommendation!

Nov 2021We had a wonderful time. The condo is beautifully decorated and clean. Property manager had a welcome basket of tropical fruit and chocolates. Beds are very comfortable as are the bathrooms. The kitchen is well stocked with utensils, cutting boards and pots/pans. Having a parking spot was a big plus. Would highly recommend staying here and we certainly want to come back again.

Sep 2022We had a very relaxing and enjoyable stay at Hannah's condo. Everything we needed was provided, the beds and all furniture were so comfortable, and coffee on the lanai and early evening happy hour on the lanai was perfect. It was my 50th bday, and I opened the refrigerator and found a surprise cake waiting for me. It was indeed a thoughtful touch that made the stay even more special. The only issue was the bbq was not working correctly when we tried to use it, and it was a bit sketchy having to light the grill with a long lighter. I am hopeful they do, in fact, order the part and fix the grill. All in all, very happy with our choice of accommodation.

Nov 2018We had a super week ( grandparents, daughter, son-in-law & 4 month baby). Condo had everything we needed (cot & high chair provided too). Lovely pool area ( small but never busy) with good sun beds , nice children’s pool too. Easy walk to beach with great bar/restaurant & also to 2 small malls with shops. The complex itself is immaculate.

This is a great property - super clean and right in the heart of Waikoloa Beach. Right on the water-front, quick walk to A-beach, the stores and restaurants! We sat on the deck every evening - loved that she had it set up with such comfy chairs and a couch!
I would definitely stay at Kolea 16F!

Mar 2020We had a fantastic time in Hawaii at Kolea 16 F penthouse condo! Accommodations were very nice. Hannah was such a joy to correspond with and she was extremely helpful. She really enjoys sharing her beautiful home on the big Island Hawaii and did a nice job decorating and making her condo very comfortable. There is everything you need from dishes, pots and pans, spices, laundry detergent and dish soap, beach towels, snorkeling gear, coolers and more. There is a grill and mini fridge on the lanai. Location is great with close access to beaches, shopping and restaurants (and a luau across the street!) and easy drives to area attractions or excursions. And there is an infinity pool at the beach club! We would love to stay again!

All of the directions were very self-explanatory & there was a small issue with the pool card but we notified the owner and she promptly replied. I would 1,000% stay at this gorgeous condo again. It’s walking distance to everything you need-including the gorgeous beach! No need to drive all over the island to see turtles when you can walk to the left of Lava Lava Beach Club about 200 yards and there are turtles everywhere! This condo met and exceeded my expectations! I’m a huge germaphobe and this condo was so clean when we arrived. We left our shoes outside the entire time, as requested by the owner. Thank you for such an easy process & letting us stay at your beautiful place in paradise!

Mar 2019This is our second time staying at the Kolea, and for us, we won't stay anywhere else. It is great for walking to the Fishermans trail, Kings Highway foot trail, Anaeho'omalu Bay beach, shopping, getting groceries and restaurants. It is also centrally located to where we went, Captain Cook to the south and Waipio Valley to the north. It is 25-30 minutes drive from the airport and about 35 minutes to Kona. Hannah has an impressive clean villa with beautiful travertine floors, we really liked that there wasn't any carpeting. The villa is equipped with all kinds of cooking utensils and some spices to prepare your own meals. The master bedroom had the most comfortable mattress and pillows we have slept on. The master bath is huge with a double sink vanity, soaker tub and enormous shower, with shampoo, conditioner and body wash supplied. There are large TV's which I am sure are great but we never turned them on during the twelve nights we stayed there. When we come back we will be staying at least sixteen nights as twelve was no where near enough, we weren't ready to come home. Our favourite part was sitting on the peaceful lanai and looking at the immaculate grounds and ever changing views of Hualalai. We made good use of the Tommy Bahama umbrella when we went to the beach. Hannah and Nicole were tremendous to deal with and answered any questions we had very quickly. Our only concern with giving this a five star rating is it will become more difficult to book again as I am sure it is quite popular. Thank-you Hannah for allowing us to enjoy your beautiful villa it was our best trip ever.

Jul 2020This is a luxurious, well-kept condo in a setting of a number of small buildings with similar condos, situated on a wonderful little chunk of paradise. A resort-like pool is a short stroll through perfect Kona weather and beautiful landscaping outside your door. From there, another 1-minute walk through interesting terrain [slightly elevated lava path (with a petroglyph!) through an estuary] brings you to a lovely white sand beach in a protected bay, suitable to many water activities. With the aqua water and rustling coco palms, this is your postcard moment! The setting is super relaxing, and all 4 of us were reluctant to leave when the time came, even though we live in our own little paradise on another Hawaiian island.
The owner is a wonderful woman who went out of her way—unbidden—to provide for our needs to ensure our stay was the best. We are not the type of people to pay repeat visits often (instead preferring to explore new venues), but this stay was so amazing that we would absolutely return and can recommend this unit and location without reservation.
More info on the surrounding area: there are numerous, fairly upscale shopping and dining opportunities within a lovely ~10-minute walk. The full gamut of options are available with a roughly 20-minute drive to the south in Kona. The weather in Kona tends to be amazing—dry, clear, warm but with cooling trade winds. The views from the area includes other-worldly terrains with old lava flows in various stages of evolution and reclamation by vegetation. The geology of the island unmistakably speaks to you the moment you cast your eyes outward, where 4 of the 5 volcanoes that built the Big Island are visible from your doorstep. The location of this condo provides a convenient launch point from which to explore the many attractions of the Big Island, but be sure to be back in time for unforgettable sunset!

The host has really thought about little things to make your vacation easier and the condo is abundantly stocked with many conveniences. The storage locker contains just about anything your family would need for a fun day at the beach. We really enjoyed our stay here and would not hesitate to recommend it.

The luau at the Marriott was enjoyable and plan to drive a good 30 min for some of the better restaurants on the Island. The grocery stores (walking distance and a short drive) had everything we needed and we enjoyed the nearby shops. Lunch at Lava Lava was an easy walk from the beach and a fun atmosphere at lunch. The property was not crowded and was a great experience and much needed vacation. Thank you Hannah.

I loved the fact that we had laundry in the apartment and the private beach access and that the owner provided everything we needed for the beach gears. We will definitely come back. The host was on point with all information in advance, and check in and check out was a breeze. We loved the lanai and grilling out in the evenings. This home was so well stocked with everything imaginable in the kitchen. I am a professionally trained chef, so I was very impressed! We only went out to eat once for dinner while we were there for 7 nights. The location is less than 30 minutes to Kona, making it convenient to activities there. It is a great launch point for Island exploration. If you’re planning a Big Island escape, this is your place!!
