Oct 2020We were looking for a well located and comfortable place while exploring this area of Utah. This loft was perfect - very well equipped - and the hosts were wonderful. Zion is about 30 minutes away but so is Snow Canyon (in the other direction) which was recommended to us by our hosts and well worth the visit. We would love to come back for a longer stay. If you go - stage coach is a good place to eat and the pizzas at River Rock are fabulous!

Zion is about 30 minutes away but so is Snow Canyon (in the other direction) which was recommended to us by our hosts and well worth the visit. We would love to come back for a longer stay. Jul 2020We totally loved staying at Jan's place. Both she and her husband are so very welcoming and the place is so beautiful and the orchards an absolute delight. Jan even welcomed us to share fresh produce from her vegetable garden.
Zion is just half hour's drive and if you aren't able to stay back and enjoy the starry night, Jan's balcony gives you the opportunity to sit and enjoy the night sky.

Mar 2022We stayed at Sunny La Verkin Studio for 5 days at the end of February 2022 and we couldn't have enjoyed it more. It was thoughtfully and well stocked and furnished. We appreciated that there were no artificially perfumed products in the air or linens. The location is close to attractions like Zion and Snow Canyon, although we became torn between doing day trips and relaxing in this beautiful unit. The interior space is enormous and the 19 windows (!) let in great light and views in all directions. The neighborhood is quiet, friendly, and safe.

Mar 2022We had a wonderful stay! The property was everything we could have asked for...it was clean, quiet, and very comfortable. And with all the windows, there was great light and beautiful views, including views of the property's gorgeous orchard. We were conveniently located to all the things we had wanted to do including Zion National Park, Sand Hollow State Park, and Snow Canyon State Park. Sep 2017We enjoyed our stay at the La Verkin studio. Very convenient to the park, food store, and resturants. It was a great base to come back to after a long day of hiking. Very clean and comfortable for the two of us.

We were glad to be so close to a grocery store as we had forgotten a couple of things. Great hosts, Jan was really sweet to come and check on us and made sure we had everything we needed.

Not only was the location great, walking distance from a great restaurant and 25 minutes from Zion, the home is remarkably clean, the amenities were top-notch, and the bathroom was DIVINE! Would absolutely stay here again.

Jun 2017This property is big, clean, well maintained and the kitchen is well stocked. Although there were just two of us overnight, three friends who were camping met us here for dinners. Jan, the owner, pre-approved this arrangement when I contacted her prior to our stay. It was perfect for a reunion with friends from another part of the country.
The grocery store that is close by is a full-size store with just about anything you could need. The prices on produce seemed tourist priced. A local friend shops in St. George during peak season.
We mostly stuck with the higher elevations for our Zion hikes. Though a wonderful homemade ice cream from Fort Zion in Virgin refreshed us on two afternoons.
We certainly recommend staying at this studio.
Jan was a wonderful host. One morning I mentioned that the toilet was occasionally running. By afternoon, Jan had her handyman come by to fix it. I think they waited until we were back in the studio.

Jun 2018The overall experience was great. The place was very neat and clean and even had some puzzles, books, and movies available. Jan was great at checking in to make sure we didn't need anything, and very welcoming.

Feb 2018The Loft is such a cool space to spend time with friends! We celebrated a friend's birthday in Zion National Park for the weekend and it was so nice to come to our home base to make dinner and play a few rounds of pool or work on a puzzle together. Even though the property owner, Jan, couldn't be around, she was still extremely responsive to any questions/concerns we had.
I highly recommend staying at this cozy Studio!

Apr 2019The Loft is a spacious, extremely clean, well appointed accommodation in a perfect location for exploring the many nearby trails. I highly recommend the Coal pit wash trail located at mi. 25.5 on the left traveling to Zion. Snow Canyon also offers numerous fantastic hikes and amazing scenery. Kolob Canyon, traveling to Cedar City, also features amazing hiking.
Our hosts, Jan and Leland, were great! The entire property is beautifully well kept with awesome gardens.
We spent 6 nights and missed TV a little bit but came home tired from hiking every day and just enjoyed the peaceful ambiance. Lots of games, puzzles, wonderful shower, excellent internet.

Apr 2017Recommended place to stay for a small family, couple, or good friends. What We loved - spacious, great shower, sleeping felt more private than we expected, quality pans in kitchen, terrific pool table, 20 m from Zion Park but beautiful drive, ample hot water. Couch was comfy for a 5'10" son to sleep on and beds were comfortable. Lots of board games and books, plenty of space in the pantry to keep groceries. Very quiet neighborhood, terrific deck. Jan lives in a detached home on the property - very pleasant and friendly if you see her but you really won't know she's there. No washer but the laundromat was nearby and we ate at the Mexican restaurant across the street while we waited (wonderful chips and salsa). There are lots of stairs so be cautious for an elderly person. Weather was beautiful (60-70) so we didn't use the heater or air. Deck is terrific for meals. Bring shampoo but there is plenty of soap, cleaning supplies, and blow dryers. We would stay here again as a family of four - loved it.

Apr 2018Place was great. Fireplace was nice during the chilly nights, kitchen was fully stocked and it has a great deck. Very well decorated and all the furniture was comfortable. A bit far from Zion for my taste, but the space made up for it. We'll be back.

Nov 2017Over all this was a fair price and served our needs (there were four in our group) for a place to sleep while visiting Zion National Park for a few days, however, there were so many small issues that we encountered, that I can't give it 5 stars. The owner was extremely good about responding when there was a problem, and very apologetic about things, however, there was no attempt on their part to make us ever want to stay there again (such as, offering any sort of rebate or compensation). The first thing that we had to do upon entering (after a full day of travel), was pick up at least 30 dead flies scattered throughout the apartment, so we were not off to a good start. Then, the next morning, as the four of us were trying to get in/out of the bathroom to get an early start on the trails at Zion, the fuse in the (one) bathroom went out, and so we were delayed by almost an hour since we couldn't see what we were doing. Although the owner did try to help later with the fuse issue, it happened again, when we returned at night, all of us needing to take showers, etc. And, more dead flies.... But, it was Thanksgiving weekend and we didn't have any other options for going somewhere else since everything was full in the area, so we just dealt with it. But between the bathroom blacking out and flies dropping dead on the bedding and kitchen counters, it was over all not a great experience. There was also someone returning home late in the evening, as we were all falling asleep, and their car horn and lights kept going off directly under one of our windows, as they locked and unlocked their car (omg!!). I do feel that somehow these things were a fluke, and not typical for this rental (there were rips in a couple screens that may have accounted for the flies? The wiring in the bathroom suddenly went on the fritz?), because the guest book was full of positive remarks, and other online reviews were good also. So, I would like to give the benefit of the doubt, but also felt a need to be honest with my review of our experience.

Although pictures make it look isolated, the population there is quite dense. Mountain View’s nice even though neighbor’s homes also part of the vista. GreT coffee place and restaurant with gorgeous views a few minutes away.
