Great Stay in Cairns!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Darrell’s apartment! It was exactly what we needed for our stay in Cairns. The size was perfect for the two of us. The location was great. It had everything we needed. We didn’t have any problems with check in or with anything in the apartment. We arrived earlier than check in and Darrell was kind enough to let us get in when we arrived. The only two things that we thought there would be was a dryer and a tub, there was neither. The description of the property lead us to believe that there was a washer AND a dryer. There was a washer but no dryer. We had to hang our clothes on the line on the balcony which worked out just fine. It would be good to make that clear in the description of the unit. There was also a picture of a tub that we were expecting. There wasn’t one and that was fine. Again, just make that clear. The view from the balcony was beautiful! We would definitely recommend the property to others!

"Great Location and Outlook"

We Had a seven night stay and we were very impressed indeed. The One bedroom had a delightfully comfortable King size bed. The unit had a lovely view of the harbour and waterfront area. It was spacious clean and well appointed.It was close to everything we needed right in the heart of Cairns. A swim in the lagoon,a meal at night and a short walk to the wharf. With girls on the ground floor for all tour needs. Thanks Darrell for your pleasant communication help and recommendations. Expect us again next year.

We enjoyed the location, Central to everything. Drinks on the balcony were great after big days out exploring the area. It rained most nights but the balcony is well protected so you could still enjoy being outside.I would thoroughly recommend this appartment.

Great location

We enjoyed the location and the VRBO very much. You could walk out of the VRBO and everything was right there to enjoy. The VRBO was clean, quite and set up very nicely. We enjoyed sitting on the deck and having wine in the evening. We were right across from Promenade and the Ferris Wheel.

Accuracy of statements regarding the property

This is a nice place with a great location. However, the statement that there is a Washer AND Dryer is not correct. There is NO Dryer, only a small drying rack on the balcony. If one wanted to dry clothes with a machine there is one available for a charge in the basement, which means that you have to haul wet clothes downstairs, pay for the drying and stay with the drying . That is not acceptable when it is stated that there is a DRYER in the unit. Also, there is no discussion that one could set off the fire alarm by taking a shower! The scare factor that the fire alarm could go off at any time if there was a bit of fog or heat in the unit is very upsetting. There is no ventilation at all except when the balcony doors are open. No vent in the bathroom no vent in the kitchen. The sofa is extremely uncomfortable to sit on and watch TV. The view is terribly marred by the huge Ferris Wheel on the beach which has extremely bright lights till late at night, which shine directly into the unit even through the shutter drapes. Overall a good place to stay but with some issues, especially the NO dryer and the fire alarm.

Perfect, quiet, tropical get-away

Staying here was truly wonderful! The place was very clean and tidy. Very secure building- needing your key for the elevator and any night-time entry into the building. Central location for marina, large grocery store, restaurants.

Awesome view and perfect location!

Loved Darrell’s apartment! It had the best views and is a great location! We had lots of questions since this was our first stop in Australia and we appreciate that Darrell was happy to answer them! The apartment was very clean and was well equipped...coffee, spices, oils, linens, etc. The apartment was very secure! It was great having a long walk path along the ocean just steps away. We are loving Australia...The Great Barrier Reef is amazing! Thank you for everything!

Great View and steps to restaurants.

Great clean condo, stocked with the all amenities that you would expect, with a great balcony - we greatly enjoyed sitting on the balcony at night. There is elevator access from the condo to the waterfront and lots of restaurants! We did a snorkeling reef tour and the boat pick up is less than a 10-minute walk. There is an excursion booking agent in the street access to the condo building if needed. A Woolworths and BWS less than a 10-minute walk. Love our stay!

Great place!

Great apartment in a wonderful neighborhood because you can walk to many restaurants and shopping. Buses for excursions pick you up right at Royal Harbor! For snorkeling and dive trips it’s a short walk to the pier to board your boat. The Esplanade is beautiful for walking and relaxing. Several museums and the aquarium is within walking distance. Enjoy!

Excellent location walking distance to everything restaurants, Reef tours and well positioned above the Night markets .Darrell was very helpful seeing it was our first trip to Cairns .Unit had everything we needed for our weeks holiday , highly recommend.
