The location of the property was perfect for us- right in Isla Verde, close to San Juan, and the airport. Amazing beach view from anywhere in the condo! We enjoyed the beach and pool every day and the proximity to great restaurants is an added benefit (make sure you try Alambique)!The property was supplied with everything we needed during our vacation, kitchen items, washer and dryer, beach and pool amenities, beach chairs, coolers, snorkeling gear and boogie boards. The wifi was good as well.We rented a car for the week and having a private space in the garage by the elevator was very convenient having 3 kids.We can’t say enough about Maureen. From the time we initially booked she provided insight on the location and nearby restaurants and stores. Maureen was very responsive and helpful and answered questions promptly. Our flight home got cancelled the morning of checkout and we had to rebook for later in the day. Maureen was so accommodating to allow us to extend our checkout time so we could enjoy the rest of the day. We will be back!

Jun 2015 We recently stayed at this location. It is somewhat dated, but it is clean and close to restaurants and entertainment. There are several places that are open 24 hours a day. Watching the sunrise and sunset from the balcony was breathtaking. Being on the beach was the number one seller for me. Maureen the owner provided towels, a cooler, chairs, and books. If you want to cook everything is furnished. What more could you ask for? If there are any problems the manager or Maureen are just a phone call away. I would definitely stay here again.

One of the best parts was the large top floor ocean front balcony, beautiful view of Isla Verde! Building has multiple fast elevators so very little wait. Many beach chairs and a cooler are provided so you can just walk right down and set up on the beach (either under the palm trees or with a $10 umbrella rental if you want shade). The pool was clean and not crowded. The location of this unit is very convenient, walgreens across the street is like a grocery store and many restaurants are nearby. We did pizza and chinese on the beach which were next door and Alambique beach bar is just down the beach for good food and drinks anytime. MiCasita was good for dinner, which is a very short walk, and next to Coldstone. The parking spot was secure, underground and conveniently right next to elevator (tip- upon arrival you will need to get the gate opener from the unit first to park, looks like a key FOB, big button outside gate, little button inside gate) We will definitely be repeat guests when we head back to PR.

Jan 2018We just got back from a wonderful stay at Maureen's apartment in San Juan. We booked travel plans to Puerto Rico before the hurricane and had difficulty negotiating a refund from the airline, so we decided to go ahead with our visit. Isla Verde, the beach where this condo is, is beautiful, with families and tourists alike visiting. Old San Juan is also up and running. The condo is exactly as advertised, clean, and comfortable. Maureen is very responsive and helpful, and always answered questions very promptly. When bad weather hit the NYC area as we were returning, Maureen kindly reached out to us and offered to let us return to the apartment should our flights get canceled.

May 2017We just got back from an amazing weekend in Puerto Rico! Our penthouse condo was the highlight of our trip! The view from the condo is breath taking. We had the sliders and windows open all weekend so we could enjoy the amazing ocean breeze. The condo gave us plenty of room to spread out but also enjoy each other.
The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need to cook meals. We cooked every breakfast and most lunches home before heading out for the night. It was very relaxing sitting on the patio with our breakfast, coffee, and ocean view.
Our days were spent on the beach. We were provided with beach chairs, umbrellas, and coolers. There were a few restaurants in walking distance, right on the sand, that we visited for lunch. We did not even need to leave the beach! On Sundays, there were venders on the beach that sold food and drinks.
Charlie’s Car Rental was conveniently right across the street. While renting a car, we were able to see El Yunque and Old San Juan. At night, we took Uber to Old San Juan to enjoy the night life and the sunset at the fort.
There are also a lot of restaurants and clubs in walking distance to the condo. Maureen was very helpful, offering a lot of suggestions for places to eat and adventures on the island. We had a very memorable vacation and would absolutely suggest this condo to anyone who wants a fun but relaxing vacation. It was perfect for us!

Jul 2015We had an amazing stay at this condo. The views were priceless and the location was within walking distance to food,casinos, and a 24 hr walgreens. The location was great for driving to some site seeing locations. The door men were friendly and very helpful to us. The unit was very clean and it had many amenities that made the stay feel as if we were visiting a welcoming family home. We loved the swimming pool which ideal for both young and old. There was a small play ground that the children enjoyed. Dealing with the owner was a real pleasure. She communicated with us in timely and pleasant manner. I loved this place and its great relaxing view. The next time i return to Puerto Rico, I would not hesitate to stay here again.

Jun 2016This was the perfect location for the perfect vacation. We took our 2 kids with us for Spring Break, and we all had a wonderful time. The condo is very comfortable and is a quick elevator ride to the beach. We used the provided beach chairs and other beach supplies almost every day. If we did not have time for the beach, the pool was very nice, as well.
The condo was fully stocked with kitchen tools and was close to 2 grocery stores. So, we made breakfast every day. It was a luxury to eat on the balcony with the cool breezes every morning. If we did not go out for dinner, also ate on the balcony. We did not use the dining room table once. There is also a pizza shop very close and several restaurants nearby. It is in the center of everything.
The wifi and cable TV were more than adequate to pacify our tired kids. The furnishings were very comfortable, and everything was very clean.
We rented a car and took several day trips: El Yunque, Old San Juan, and Camuy Caves. In and out of the condo was very easy, and the staff/security were very helpful.
Maureen, the owner, was very responsive and takes great care of her condo. You can tell that she wants her renters to feel like guests. She was highly accommodating to our travel plans. I would highly recommend this vacation location. I hope to return soon!

May 2015This is an excellent property right in front of the beach in Isla Verde. We were a group of two families and everyone enjoyed a lot. The pent house is located on the 19th floor with beautiful views in a very secured building. The building staff is very friendly. The amenities are the main attraction for this property. The beach is very accessible and beautiful. This is conveniently located from SJN airport and has plenty of restaurants within walking distance. The Pent house has all the facilities one would need to enjoy a vacation. The owner is very friendly and made sure all our needs were met. This is an absolutely recommended property.

Great location, beautiful view, and the owners provide such thoughtful amenities (suntan lotion, beach toys, towels, etc.) that even the most disorganized traveler has everything he/she needs. Breakfast on the balcony is paradise. I cannot wait to return next year!

Feb 2016The photos and property description are accurate. Stunning views from the large balcony, and a great location in the center of Isla Verde's beach area. I won't list all of the features of the apartment and it's location, as they are well described in previous reviews by other renters - however, after those reviews were written, Maureen has installed new furniture and tv's that we really enjoyed.
We stayed a month in the apartment, and used all of the facilities, including cooking a number of dinners in the unit. The Internet speed was good enough to use Skype video to communicate with our family. The apartment became our home away from home!
We used taxis' to visit the malls and some San Juan area restaurants, but found we could use the bus service to ride into Old San Juan - a unique and inexpensive way to travel.
Maureen has a super apartment, and she is great to work with. We have already booked a return trip next winter.

Apr 2015The location of Marbella Del Caribe can't be beat. Our group of families rented 10 different condos between Marbella East and Marbella West. All of the children were between the ages of 12 and 18. From this location we walked everywhere and felt very safe. Surfing, restaurants, casinos and even a cockfighting venue were all within walking distance. Even the kids would walk to nearby restaurants and shops. During the day if we weren't at the beach we all ventured in various directions for day trips. Isla Verde was the perfect central location to be able to head out and explore what Puerto Rico has to offer.
The condo itself was clean and the size of the balcony and the view was fantastic. Although we did not cook at the condo it looked well equipped.
As others have noted the condo is dated, but flooring, cabinets and appliances being white helped. Also, being able to open the 3 panel sliding door to the balcony made the space seem very large and open. Some of the other condo units I had a chance to see may have had updated decor (and some did not) but the balconies and brightness of the living room/dining room space couldn't compare. The condo was large enough to accommodate my family of 5. There is a blow up air mattress that is the height of a standard bed. We arranged the 2nd bedroom to accommodate all 3 of my kids and encountered no problems.
The owner Maureen was very helpful and responsive to any of my questions or requests.
We would definitely stay there again!

Feb 2016Sometimes its the fabulous rental, sometimes its the ease of booking and a owner dedicated in making each booking experience the best yet. The previous reviews say it all. You will have everything you need to prepare meals, go to beach with beach chairs, cooler, toys etc. High speed wifi and direct tv channels. This property is exceptionally clean and well cared for...not your usual rental flip. Maureen takes great pride in her penthouse, fresh paint and new furnishings, beautiful artwork, unusual for a rental, really make you feel like you're totally welcome in her home. We arrived ahead of planned book in time, and Maureen was quick to make arrangements for early entry. The prime parking space underground near the elevators was a big bonus. 24 hr security, and the beach within footsteps of the property gate. The balcony is probably 2 1/2 times bigger than most, with comfortable seating a a perfect view of the runners on the beach, kite boarders and of course swimmers. I have rented a few units on Isla Verde and this one truly is paradise. Thanks again Maureen, Justin & Sarah were thrilled, as we imagined we all would be....hope to return one day....Joyce & Jean (Calgary, AB)

Mar 2017Penthouse apartment is spacious and cozy at the same time. The kitchen is well equipped with everything you can possibly need to cook a gourmet meal, if cooking is your thing! The ocean breezes are phenomenal! The Condo is in Marbella Este, a very secure, safe and clean building on the beach in Isla Verde. Many delicious restaurants are walking distance. The ocean water is so warm and inviting. Beach chairs, umbrella, towels are all provided. Definitely the nicest beach in all of San Juan. We cannot wait to go again next year with our young grandson!

I traveled with 3 college spring breakers, my son, daughter, and her friend and they loved it. Great place to relax. We walked everywhere for food and drink and also took a cab to Old San Juan. I hope when I return to Puerto Rico, Maureen's Condo will be available!

Aug 2017Me and my 3 boys which are all adults stayed at Maureen's place the last week in July. If you are reading reviews and can't decide weather you are choosing the right place, well you are. I consider my self picky with things. In general. Everything about this place has met my expectations. This penthouse has everything you will need for cooking to beach supplies even has a washer and dryer in the unit with laundry soap, she has thought of everything to make your stay easy and enjoyable. There was 4 of us and Maureen had enough beach chairs for all of us. If you have small children she even has beach toys. This penthouse was very spacious, with 2 1/2 baths makes getting ready for dinner quick and easy. The place was very clean and had amazing views from the bedrooms and a huge balcony. Maureen was very accommodating, my flights had a early arrival and a late departure time which she was able to get me early check in and later check out. I honestly cannot think of anything negative about Maureen or her penthouse. Even the location is perfect right in the middle of everything. I have traveled to many places and stayed in all types of rooms, this is definitely at the top of my favorites. I tried to keep this short but I could go on with how nice Maureen is and her penthouse. You will not regret choosing this place for your vacation, all the staff were very friendly. Thank you Maureen for making my stay at your place a great experience. I will recommend it to anyone who asks me where to stay in Puerto Rico.

Apr 2018Marbella is an excellent Condo on the longest and best stretch of beach in Isla Verde. This particular place had the most incredible views, most awesome breeze and was so easily accessible to all of our favorite beach restaurants. I would totally recommend PH2 to anyone looking for an amazing get away to Puerto Rico! The Condo featured brand new bedding in the master and 2nd bedroom, everything was clean and well maintained, although, dated appliances, everything was in great working condition and the manager, Franklin was hands on and ready to assist wherever necessary!

Mar 2016I would echo the previous highly positive reviews. We have rented several places in San Juan and this one is far and away the best. Maureen takes exceptional care of it--plus she is responsive and easy to work with. The furnishings are of high quality. Wi-Fi and cable are strong. Kitchen is well equipped. The view from the balcony is stunning. We usually rent a car for our stays but there was no need in this case. Many restaurants are close by (try Zest in the San Juan Beach Club hotel right behind the condo). A supermarket is only a ten minute walk and a Walgreens is across the street. Taxis were easy to get for the times we wanted to visit further away. The Puerto Rico Museum of Art on de Diego Avenue is worth a trip--it's open late on Wednesdays and is free that day.

Jun 2022I’ve used this location many times over the past 25 years. The location is twin hi rise buildings. They’ve always been well kept. This is my 1st time using this particular penthouse. Host is very responsive and agreeable. The unit is acceptably comfortable. Let me just say that many of the units have been upgraded and modernized, Depending on personal taste you may want a more upgraded unit. I was ok with this particular unit but I have also rented units with a more modern decor. You can’t beat this location and it was a pleasure to work with this host.

Jun 2022I’ve used this location many times over the past 25 years. The location is twin hi rise buildings. They’ve always been well kept. This is my 1st time using this particular penthouse. Host is very responsive and agreeable. The unit is acceptably comfortable. Let me just say that many of the units have been upgraded and modernized, Depending on personal taste you may want a more upgraded unit. I was ok with this particular unit but I have also rented units with a more modern decor. You can’t beat this location and it was a pleasure to work with this host.

Feb 2019Isle Verde is the best beach in all of San Juan, hands down! Looking out at our view of the water made me feel like it was inside the Apt.

Dec 2015Having lived in San Juan for 5 years, my husband and I were excited to take our 2 kids to PR to show them around. We knew this was the stretch of beach we wanted to be on. This condo is lovely, the view can't be beat! Everything we needed to be able to have a relaxing place to spread out and eat in if we chose...The owner, Maureen, responded quickly to all emails and was more than accommodating when last minute complications arose with our travel itinerary. I would highly recommend, and would choose this property again if we go back!
