Oct 2022We had a great time during our stay. The unit was clean and had beach several chairs, umbrellas, boogie boards, ect. The pool was a bit small but never busy. The property is only a few mins from the beach. I’d definitely stay again.

May 2019This time my family and my parents, four adults and two kids, stayed 10 nights at Arvis’s place. Rooms are enough big. The location of Arvis’s place is so nice, close to Waikiki beach, restaurants and convenience stores. Kitchen was also nice with big freezer, many dishes, rice cooker, coffee machine etc. My three yrs old kid liked pool within this building. We could have much comfortable stay and good memories here, Thanks you, Arvis! ;)))

Jun 2022This review is for unit 309 in the Royal Aloha. Prior to arrival, the host sent me a text with instructions and pics of everything. That made check in a breeze. Also the free parking was a plus, although it’s across the street in another building. The building itself was old and could use some updating but it was very accessible to downtown Waikiki, the Ala Moana Mall, and your local Walmart. The bus that takes you to all of these locations is right on the corner of the unit. The unit itself was comfortable. All beds were comfortable. The sofa was comfortable as well. Everything that host said was in the unit was there….coffee maker, toaster, pots, pans, plates, etc. Ice maker in freezer, great! We brought water from 7/11, which is right next door, on day one. There are some seasonings in the cabinet as well. My complaints are that the cleaner could have done a better job. I spilled some water on day one and wiped the floor with a clean paper towel and it was sooooo dirty. The mat in the kitchen was sticky (my feet kept getting stuck and tracking stickiness on the rest of the floor). So I mopped the floor myself. My husband was the first to shower and said that it was hair in there when he got in. The final problem is the ceiling in the bathroom shower. It is a drop ceiling and the tiles need ti be changed due to water stains and signs of mold. It was great that there were beach chairs/equipment there in the unit. There were plenty of towels but only one wash cloth…so I brought a pack and left them there. The area is very busy so if you are a light sleeper, this unit may be too noisy for you. It was fine for me as I am a city girl. Despite some minor things (mainly needing a new cleaner) I would return to this unit.

Sep 2022This property is within walking distance of Aloha Kitchen, a local favorite breakfast destination. Conveniently located off of Ala Wai & McCully, providing easy access to the highway for those wishing to travel to other parts of the island. Spent a comfortable 7-days here with no issues.

Dec 2022This condo suited our needs, was affordable and was walking distance to Waikiki beach, shopping and restaurants. The parking space was a huge plus (but be aware it is located across the street from the unit on the 5th floor of a garage). The building is run down but the unit itself inside was comfortable and clean. There were plenty of towels, pillows, blankets, even some beach chairs, snorkels and sand toys! There were a few minor improvements that should be made- the key fobs to the building and parking garage are tiny broken pieces of plastic (like they snapped off of the original keychain). There were no extra trash bags so we were scrounging trying to find solutions, the shower curtain is missing a liner so the fabric curtain gets soaked. These were minor annoyances but could be addressed easily. Check in and out was pretty simple and we communicated with the owner through text message.

May 2018The place was in a good location, can find free parking on the street, didn't pay once which is rare in Waikiki The pool is not as nice as portrayed in the pictures, it is small and very cold, and to much chlorine jumped in once and did not use againThere were enough pots and pans, but they are very inexpensive pans and very hard to cook with as everything sticks to themThey water down the hand soap and dish soap which I found very oddThe beds were good had no problem sleeping, I am used to the noise of the road but some people might not beThe best part of this place is the location, walking distance to everything in Waikiki

Nov 2018The pictures are deceiving. The pool is very small, the building is dirty, our towels and linens did not smell clean, our sliding glass door literally fell on the balcony, the ice maker is broke, there is rust on the fridge, the air vents are very dirty; really the condo needs a good deep cleaning and the building needs updates. The owner of our condo was understanding of our concerns and did offer a small refund.

Dec 2022The directions to get key and parking need to be updated. The picture for parking is not even close ! The free parking is quite a trip !Parking is on 5th floor and if it’s dark spot is hard to find. Then walking back to room is 20 minutes. For the price it was nice !

Aug 2022The accommodation was adequate. The location was super. Thank you for our compensation for the AC drip in the bathroom. It is dripping from the ceiling light? Scary? The toilet seat is wiggly and about to fall off. The one leather stool needs to be thrown out as does the orange chair. They are unfit to sit in. We used many towels for the AC leak. There was only one set of keys. The black disk called a fab is confusing.

Aug 2021Review for unit #309. Easy to find property and liked there was a loading zone in the front of the building. Lock boxes were easy to find but the instructions to find the lockbox the owner gave me were wrong (he sent a picture that showed 3 stripes on it with his name but the actual lockbox was a newer version, with no stripes) so it took me a while to find the correct lockbox. The condo was decent, it was overall clean but light switches didn't appear to be sanitized and the previous guests left food in the fridge. The location was decent, there was a lot of traffic and the window panels were so thin, it brings in a lot of traffic noise and outside noises. The reserved parking was nice to have but was a challenge to get in/out of if there was someone parked in front or back of it, since the reserved parking was in the middle of the two other spots, in front of the secured gate.

Dec 2022Location was great, having parking included a definite benefit. Only one key and fob for 5 adults was very inconvenient and never received response to request from property manager. Great functioning kitchen. Floors and woodwork weren’t clean (found broken glass under the bed and hair on sheets). Can accept worn and old but not dirty.

Mar 2020First of all it is run down inside hallways, elevators etc. Our unit 309 had variety of bugs. The living room was okay. Bedrooms fair, drapery bad, closet doors filthy with dust. Manager did bring needed towels and wash clothes. There was damage to master bed wall. He also replaced a lamp in other bedroom due to the fact you couldn’t turn on had to plug in. Electrical outlets only half worked. At the end my girl friend found under her bed a pair of men’s underwear. We deserve a refund. Nothing like pictures.Also can,t use pool till late morning or afternoon no sun.

Mar 2020Arvis was very responsive to our questions and needs from the beginning. There is now an assigned parking space which was very convenient. The key cards to get out of the building can be a little finicky, but be patient and they will work. The rental could use a deep cleaning, but it had very comfortable beds (a king in one room and 2 twins in another), the couch pulls out to a bed also. If you get cold at night, you might want to pack a heavier blanket for the beds because everything on the beds is pretty light weight. A/c worked great. Appliances worked great. We pushed the 2 twins together for a couple and it worked perfectly in lieu of another king bed. The shower had lots of hot water. The building isn’t the nicest of buildings, but for the price we paid and the full kitchen access and included parking, it was well worth it.

Jun 2018Arvis was very responsive to inquires. The condo was clean and comfy. The blinds in the living room have seen better days and the door to the balcony was a little hard to open, but it wasn't a big issue. Beds were comfortable and we had everything we needed. This condo was a little north from the busy hustle and bustle of Waikiki, but overall location was good.Parking is not included, but we were able to park in at the Monarch (hotel behind the condo) for a rate that included in and out.

May 2019Arvis’s place was more than expected! The aloha mac chocolates were a sweet welcome to our stay. The place had everything we needed including sunscreen, mosquito repellant, lotion, deodorant, windex for the full body mirror we loved so much, and body/bathroom spray. The location was also great, about 10 minute walking distance to the beach and right next to a 7-11. The rooms were clean. 2 separate bedrooms: 1 with a huge bed, another with 2 single beds. The A/C was perfect and left the room super cool. Me and my friends loved our stay, thank you so much for letting us stay here and offering parking for a small daily fee!
