Bode-Museum auf der Museumsinsel, Oranienburger Straße mit Synagoge und Hackeschem Markt, Brandenburger Tor, "Unter den Linden", Humboldt-Universität, Berliner Dom, Alexanderplatz und Checkpoint Charlie sind nur 10 Gehminuten entfernt. Das ganze Gebiet ist mit Kunstgalerien und Theatern übersät: Deshalb nennen wir unsere Wohnung "East End"! Zwei ruhige Doppelzimmer in gegenüberliegenden Ecken der großen Wohnung bieten Platz für 4 PAX. Eine fitte Person könnte auf dem Sofa im Wohnzimmer schlafen. Die Küche ist komplett ausgestattet. Das Badezimmer verfügt über eine Badewanne mit Dusche, WC und eine Waschmaschine. Handtücher und Bettwäsche werden bereitgestellt, ebenso wie das WLAN-Breitband-Internet. Empfohlen für Allergiker. (Wir haben pflegeleichte Holzböden und antiallergische Matratzen). Keine Haustiere und kein Rauchen erlaubt - aber Kinder sind herzlich willkommen!

Jun 2023This apartment is a wonderful place to stay. It is in a great spot that is in walking distance to all of the major locations. The apartment is very comfortable and has a washing machine which was great to use during our two week vacation. Dagmar, who helps manage the property, was great to communicate with and even met us at the property to help us get settled. We highly recommend this place and hope to visit again in the future.

Jun 2023This apartment was absolutely perfect for our stay in Berlin. It’s very unusual to find a private, secluded apartment in the center of everything. Not only was the apartment quiet- it was also clean and spacious. Check in was easy.

May 2023Thoughtfully appointed and superbly located for exploration of Berlin on foot. Access by train to Dessau for study of the Bauhaus virtually across the street.
Local agent was unreachable beyond initial contact and transfer of keys, however.
We three were delighted with our stay in all other regards.

Feb 2023We had a wonderful four night stay in this apartment. Conveniently located only a short walk to the train station but still walking distance to many sights. The apartment was very spacious and well set up allowing a very comfortable stay for a family of four. We were very happy with our choice and would definitely stay there again and recommend to others.

Sep 2022myself and a friend came for the Berlin marathon. The apartment is really big and was perfect. checkin was superb and easy..great comms. location was superb, close to the underground for getting around. next to the river and in a great spot for restaurants/ bars. For anyone doing the marathon or for visiting….it’s about 10-15 minutes walk to the Brandenburg gate, where the start line is and it was great to not have to deal with public transport, especially afterwards. Defo recommended

Aug 2022The apartment is a very nice place to stay - walking distance to a number of tourist sites, including restaurants along the river, about 3 blocks away. It's about 2 blocks tp the Friedrichstrasse station, which is a major transit hub, so very easy to get anywhere. They sell a very inexpensive monthly pass that covers all kinds of transit., though they never checked out tickets once. The apartment is large and felt like home, with a lot of thoughtful touches in the kitchen and bathroom - things you'd have at home, but wouldn't expect in a rental. It's on a quiet street where it felt like locals live. I'd happily stay there again. And I have to mention what an interesting, vibrant city Berlin is.

The location is great. Many interesting places is in walking distance and Friedrichstraße banhof just around the corner.
We will surely consider to come back next time visiting Berlin!

Jul 2022We’re adding our endorsement to this already highly rated rental. This was our family’s first trip to Berlin and we could not have picked a more perfect place to stay! The apartment is absolutely charming, very spacious, comfortable and surprisingly very quiet. Its location in the Mitte is unbeatable and is within easy walking distance to many popular city attractions (Museum Island, Brandenburg Gate, Humboldt Forum, Hackesche Höfe and more..). Elfie and Dagmar are both great. Communication was excellent throughout, and check and went very smoothly. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit, and can’t imagine a better place to stay or better hosts!

Loved the charm of the place, and the layout is great with the bedrooms at opposite ends adding privacy. Everything went smoothly and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Sep 2021This lovely apartment is far bigger than the pictures indicate. With high ceilings, wide plank floors more than a century old, and huge clean windows, it has all the charm of another era while providing modern conveniences such as an updated kitchen, roomy bathroom, and washing machine. Because it wraps an interior corner of the building, you have two different views of the pretty courtyard below. We absolutely loved staying here and found it remarkably quiet. The apartment is a quick walk to a main train station (Friedrichstrasse), so you can hop on a subway to nearly anywhere in the city or take a fast train to the airport. The station has two convenient grocery stores and numerous small shops ranging from Wayne's Coffee (a Swedish brand) to clothing stores, a florist, and a pharmacy. (However, my favorite coffee shop is before you get to the station: Pure Origins.) The bed is comfortable (though European, so don't expect the cushy deep type we sleep on in the US). Towels are plentiful though air dried, which is customary in Europe. We enjoyed easy walks to Museum Island, Hackescher Markt, Gendarmenmarkt, and the Brandenburg Gate (be sure to get drinks in the Adlon Hotel lobby; we had dinner). This was our first trip to Berlin, and I can't imagine a better place to stay or more gracious hosts!

Location in Mitte is terrific. It is a lovely quiet apartment building yet very close to public transportation. We were able to walk to many places too. Grocery stores close by as well as coffee shops and restaurants. Dagmar was super helpful and informative. We needed a couple of light bulbs and she was there the next morning to replace them. Thank you for allowing us to enjoy your delightful home in Berlin.

One caution, if you are sensitive to the smell of cats, it’s quite strong. I did not have any allergic reaction at all, but the odor is very distinct.

Sep 2019The apartment is very spacious and well appointed. It has 2 large bedrooms and a large bathroom. Everything is modern and new. It’s close to major sightseeing and landmarks. We truly enjoyed our stay! You won’t be disappointed!

Sep 2019The flat in Berlin is better than the pictures! When we arrived, we got a great overview of the property and thought how wonderful, and then realized we had only seen 1/2 of it. For 2 couples it works out great - each bedroom has its own area with a large living area and a separate massive, well-stocked kitchen. Grocery stores are near by, which made cooking our own meals a breeze. The large desk area made it easy for a few of us that needed to get some work done to each have our own space.
The location is close to both public transit, yet also so close that walking almost everywhere is reasonable.
The unit does have a washing machine, but not a dryer, so we did end up having clothes spread about the unit for a day - but due to the size of the kitchen area - it didn't even matter.
Would definitely stay again if I visit Berlin.

Jul 2019We couldn’t have asked for a better place to spend our holiday in Berlin! Couldn’t ask for a better location. An easy walk to so many places: Brandenburg Gate just 25 minutes! Nice market a couple of minutes away. The Fredrichstrasse Bahnhofstrasse takes you everywhere. We took a day trip to Sachsenhausen, another day in Pottsdam to visit the great palaces. We highly recommend the 7 day S Bahn Pass..
Dagmar was very welcoming and showed us through the apartment. Do we have any suggestions on what to improve at the apartment? Nope, it was perfect!

Jun 2019This is a beautiful, spacious apartment located in the center of Berlin. We walked virtually everywhere (with the exception of Potsdam which is an easy train ride from the adjacent station). We especially enjoyed the walk along the Spree river (a half block from the apartment) coming home from Charlottenburg Palace. The kitchen and living room are quite large and could easily handle groups. All communications were pleasant and prompt. We had the bad luck to be there during a week of 30+ degrees C heat. We hope the owners follow up on our suggestion to provide a fan for each bedroom, which would make sleeping more comfortable on hot summer nights.

May 2019Wow, words don't do Elfie's beautiful apartment justice! It was so comfortable, so peaceful, so quiet, so central, so safe, so beautifully decorated and so much bigger than we were expecting! We just adored staying here.....so much so that it was hard to leave everyday to go site seeing but so lovely to come home to each evening. The location is just perfect, you are walking distance to everything - shops, markets, attractions, bars, cafes, museums, the train, river tours, etc. We can't wait to go back!
