Immaculate clean tidy room in a beautiful serene landscaped space fronting the backwater. Great service from the on site team who kept everywhere clean and kept us well fed and topped up with chai or coffees. Sarath was a very attentive host who discreetly made sure that our needs were satisfied. She also recommended a local Ayurvedic treatment centre where we enjoyed a fantastic massage. Lovely small pool - large enough for a couple or 4 very close friends!

Nothing but Cherai beach is not very swim friendly being narrow and disappearing at high tide - also with strong undertow.

Really nice authentic Keralan breakfast, along with coffee and fresh fruit. The room was v clean and featured a much required AC unit. The owners were so friendly, and were available to help with whatever came up. The property is very close to the beach but you can also chill by the lake at the back of the property.

I found the number of mosquitoes quite annoying - but this is obviously not something that's easily fixable.

We were treated so caring lying by the staff. The location is wonderful and we hope to return one day.

It is a serene place in heart of Kerala, although close to Kochi city but still very tranquil, with one side Lake view right on water front and another side Beach. Rooms were clean and comfortable, Shari and Sharath really look after their people, tasty meals are provided on request other than breakfast. They recommended a good local Kerala ayurvedic massage therapist and he really gave me a good treatment for my back pain at his centre which is walkable from accommodation. Absolutely relaxing stay and worth it if you are in Kochi for holiday.

many- we are Australians ( of Indian origin) . we didn’t have our passports when we got here and was then asked to provide all documents - which was not listed or asked as a requirement when we booked . ( these were all at my home ) No TV in the room - we didn’t get adjoining rooms either ( when you travel with young kids that’s an issue ) the pool is tiny and there is little privacy. the place was hard to find with poor signage and had to make multiple calls. when we brought this up as an issue- we were told that they can find us another place to stay at if we wanted to. ! we had to cut short our stay. if you want a small place with minimal facilities, this is for you. but if you are looking for a resort like experience- pls skip !! the photo shows the path to the pool and about 10 workers next door looking in.

Welcoming and peaceful. The homestay is in a quiet part of Cherai Beach but close to anything you need and a tuktuk is always on hand. The host, Shari, is warm and helpful. The staff are equally lovely and the ever-smiling Sindhu makes the best food! The garden is divine, you could happily stay there all day, looking on to the backwaters. This homestay is a very hard place to leave! Thank you, Shari and your team.

The rooms were big, clean and well maintained. The staff were awesome, treated us really well. Food (They arranged Lunch and Dinner from a nearby place) was exceptional, especially the seafood.

The owner Shari is very helpful. We like their hospitality most.We have stayed very less time but want to come back again

Thank you Shari and Sharath for a wonderful stay. I highly recommend it to families looking for a home away from home. Beach is just 2 mins walk away from the homestay. The owners always greet with a smile, eager to help and ensure you feel comfortable at all times. They arrange food as per your preference. We had the opportunity to taste some authentic Kerela style vegetarian dishes. Overall a highly peaceful place where you feel close to nature.

One of the best fun place to spent with family with a cool river view and a recreation area with greenary all around. Clean rooms and best host.

Must visit..!! Near to lake and beach. Everyone here treated us so warmly and felt like a family... Tasty homely food. Room was very spacious and good service. Pleasant lakeview and garden area made our day. It was very peaceful..We are lucky to be here ☺️ Hope to visit again.

The food, the place between the blackwater and the sea, the room, the extraordinary welcome of Shari and her husband. Superb experience. We hope come back soon and we recommend this fabulous place

Firstly we arrived late at night and Shari was so accommodating ensuring we had everything we needed when she welcomed us to Lake Front. The rooms are so clean, with ensuite bathrooms. After an extremely comfortable and restfull sleep, we woke in the morning and between the smells of the different flowers, sounds of the wild birds and view over the lake of local fisherman it was a sensory sensation. Shari arranged for us to do yoga in the morning where we watched the sun rise over the lake. Sindu and Shari prepared us the finest breakfasts each morning with tasty chai, organised for us to get Ayurvedic massages and we took the short walk back along the beautiful clean Charai beach. We saw dolphins while we were swimming with eagles gliding gracefully overhead. We ate the finest food in the local Chilliout cafe (the pizza is better then in Milan and the clams are a must have!). We had traditional Kerala dinner of fish cooked in banana leaf in Sivettantay Kada restaurant. As the purpose of our trip was for a wedding, Shari got a string of Jasmine flowers for my hair, which was such a lovley touch. As a host, Shari went above and beyond to accommodate and made her home feel like our own.

The only things we didn't like was not having more time to spend in Cherai beach and having to leave Lake Front!
