Jan 2019We would like to thank Russell, Pauline and family for a fantastic holiday, at Macburn Cottages. Nothing was too much to ask for.
So far the BEST pet friendly stay we have had. We couldn't believe all the extra little things that were available especially for our dog Spark. He loved the dog treats.
The cottage was immaculate, the yard for our dog could not have been better.
We wish Russell and Pauline all the best.
We will be back. We have never felt so welcomed like that.

Nov 2022We travel with a dog. This was by far the best stayz property to meet the needs of us and our pet. Pauline and Russ genuinely care about their clients and ensure their needs are met. We certainly recommend this property to fellow pet owners and would certainly return ourselves.

Mar 2021We stayed at collie cottage for 3 nights. Everything was easy, relaxed, clean and accessible. Russ and Pauline were absolutely welcoming and we felt right at home on arrival. Our dogs had an exciting time, we felt confident they were safe and secure when we left them in the dog run [luxury version] which was shady and dog friendly. We will most definitely return with more time to explore, maybe with the horse this time- there’s stables and a paddock for him.....The wine, chocolates, dog treats and pantry supplies were a really kind touch. Thanks again. Loved the place.

Jul 2019We (2 adults, 1 child and a dog) stayed at the Collie Cottage for five nights and couldn’t be happier with our experience. Russ and Pauline were very hospitable and helpful throughout our stay. The place was clean and cosy with all the necessary amenities (kettle,toaster, heating) plus some extra perks such as a fire place, washing machine and a spa bath. The garden is lovely - so many beautiful banksias and gum trees. Location wise it was a great base to explore Mount Gambier and surroundings. Meeting the alpacas Ted and Tilly was the highlight for our 7-year-old. Plus of course meeting Buddy and Izzy and the farm animal gang.

Jan 2019Lovely cottage, very neat and clean. Lots of things included - complimentary bottle of wine was wonderful, farm fresh eggs were delicious!
Our dogs loved the complimentary extras (treats and beds) for them too!
Host & family were very friendly and welcoming, excellent communication and very accomodating when we needed to change the dates we were going to come and stay - much appreciated, many thanks 😊��
Loved having farm animals so close, seeing alpacas, sheep, chickens, horses, goats, cows every day.
