The room was spacious, well organised with beautiful wall painting. Extra clean, and the swimming pools were refreshing too
It rained too much and I couldn't enjoy the outdoors as much as I wished.

Lack of communication/coordination between depts.
I wanted to use the spa and called the reception for the extension. I was given the extension and proceeded yo call the spa. No answer so I ended up walking there. I get there and told, plus shown, the phone is disconnected!! Also that the Spa is closed for renovations...which I didn't see going on.. How is it the reception doesn't know this?
I was on half board for 3 nights. On Saturday and Sunday I was out for dinner. I asked at reception at least twice whether I could have lunch today, my checkout day instead and I was told No Problem!! Infact they'd note it for the restaurant ! Very annoying to then have 3 different pple approach me to pay the bill!!
On the first night I asked the gentleman who came to my room to fix the TV, who to speak to about my safe not locking. He said he'd report to security. Nothing..

The place was really nice, we enjoyed every bit of our stay. The hospitality was excellent and the team attended to us with professionalism. Special mention to Mugo at the bar who made amazing cocktails. Highly recommend it.

The hotel was perfect, the room was spacious, beds really big, shower a little bit destroyed but in total we liked it there. Personal was very nice, always smiling, food was incredible, always lot of vegetables, I really liked risotto and bacon for the breakfast. Swimming pools were clean and perfect, the better one is in the miracle garden. By the pools were always free sun beds. Animation program perfect.
-we have been there in february, ocean was really warm but we didnt like the water, it was too dirty, so much seagrass inside the water but thats not the probem of the hotel
-we didnt like people on the beach trying to sell you trips and souvenirs, they we
re too annoying but hotel had security so they couldnt come to your sunbeds

The "All-inclusive" was really value for money. All meals were nice and always some local specialities. Next, the drinks were also included.
The personnel was great. We really enjoyed our one week stay at Sandies after one week safari in four different national parks.
There were any issues like this.

The breakfast was awesome especially because there was a wide selection of vegetables.
Lack of flexibility on check out time

The location was really nice with access to the beach of Malindi (subject to tide)
The staff at the restaurant and at the reception was kind and helpful
Breakfast and main dishes were okay with good variety
The gala dinner on saturday evening was a good surprise
The room was clean and big
Diving centre staff
The staff at the bar was unprepared and unkind (particularly an 'experienced barman')
The forniture in the room was outdated
The list of drinks and snacks included in the 'All inclusive' was okay but the greatest part of it was never available (at the end You could ask for just 3/4 options), even the juices were limited in availablity

Great covered balcony/terrace on the room. Nice place to sit when it was raining or need a bit of shade.
Mattress was very hard and uncomfortable.
The silicone around shower tray was mouldy so let the bathroom down.
There is what could be a lovely seating/lounger area overlooking the beach, but unfortunately this was ruined by hotel staff constantly trying to sell the hotel activities. We were disturbed by 4 different staff members in 20 minutes, who were very persistent.

The variety of food was good and some staff really helpful
The tailet was not clean. One could see grime in the bowl. Secondly, always good to inform people having a leisurely meal before removing the food from the buffet when time is over. I got one of the worst Dawa's at the beach bar at Diamond Africa and no effort to replace or redo.

We, as a couple, liked everything about this tropical dream! Rooms and the whole property is stylish and beautiful. Food is delicious. Staff friendly and helpful. Location is also nice. Price worthy!
I think that it's time to upgrade the sunbeds, those were a bit old.

The hotel did little to welcome us mainly because we are locals from Mombasa. I believe locals do not pay any less or get a discount so it would be nice to receive fair treatment. There was no Tv In the room and when asked why was then asked to upgrade. I feel like information like TV not being in rooms should be pointed out while booking. Paid for breakfast and dinner only to be informed drinks were excluded. The hotel should be upfront with the many missing little details. Paying for drinks is not a problem, it's the assumption that it's included on the booking that rilled me up.

The location
The junior suite was extremely disappointing and no where near the photos on the site

Room was clean and big
1. The welcome I got on arrival was not good as the reception staff disputed my booking.. they said it was different from the copy they had...my deal was bed, breakfast and dinner.. they said their copy was for bed and breakfast only..and check-in took too long. They finally accepted my booking but I had to email them a copy.
2. No water in room on arrival and very poor WiFi
