Great position on the beach, friendly willing staff. Lovely spacious clean chalets. Good food and good prices. Very comfortable bed!

The room did not have any facility other than a fan and toiletteries. When we have paid 8k for a night I would expect a welcome drink or atleats water, when we arrived. It says breakfast included but when we went for breakfast they said we need to choose anything for 500rs, which is not sufficient for 2 adults especially when their menu was on the higher end. Also the resturant was not that good. Also, no hot water , they said hot water available after 11 AM, but check out is 10AM. We stayed for 2 days and didnt get hotwater until eveing time. on the day of checkout we had to adjust with hotwater given in 1 bucket . Anyway they allowed us to checkout half hr late becoz of this delay

Agonda Shell Beach Resort claims that they have a power back up but they don't have any. Much better resorts like Royal Agonda, Rama Resorts will give you far better service and super maintained rooms than the Agonda Shell... Resort is cozy with plantation, and location of course is superb but resort staff must be spend on DG to ensure atleast one fan and one light in rooms is ON without interruptions. Rooms cleanliness, upholstery, basic things like locks taps must be checked to have basic functionality. Anyways if you are planning for Agonda keep this as a last option.

There is no cell reception. Parking is an issue. Water from AC keeps dripping. Even the wifi provided by the hotel does not have internet sometimes.

The hotel is on the beach. There is nothing positive. We stayed in South Goa for 4 nights - spent 1 night in this property (15th July 2022) and was the least enjoyable night of our stay. If you are staying in Agonda Beach, I will suggest a different hotel - Forget Me Not (Stayed here from 17th to 19th July). Amazing food, great service, Proper Wifi & Power Backup, right on the Beach.

It's a long list : 1. After my confirmation of booking, Agonda Shell Beach reached out to me for an advanced payment. On immediate receipt of payment (I made an advance of 50%), I was informed that the restaurant will be shut, there will be no power backup, limited room service and Wifi. All this was attributed to the monsoon season. I was sure of a terrible experience - the stay surpassed my terrible expectations (Date of Stay - 15th July, 1 Night, 2 Cottages @ ~INR11,000) 2. There was no network at the hotel, only 1 wifi hotspot - quite far away from our room 3. 2 people were looking after a huge property - one was decent, the other was least bothered to help out. Felt really bad for this one person working his socks off to keep the property running. His name is Rupesh. 4. No toiletries were provided in the washrooms. The flush was not working in one of the cottages 5. At night, our cottage area was completely dark (no kidding), with dogs loitering around. No beef with the dogs, they were quite understanding of our misery and didn't bother us much. We were only scared to walk over them in the dark. 6. The power cut started at around 1am in the night and lasted 3 miserable hours. But of course, we had already cursed Murphy's Law by then 7. We made a reservation with complementary breakfast - hahahaha - joke was on us!!! I pointed this out to the property manager. He very nicely asked us to visit the sister property (6KM away) for breakfast, or to come back next time to get a 25% discount on food (Lightning may strike twice at the same place (god forbid), but this poor soul ain't coming back ... ever). After I told him of my unwillingness to accept his proposal, I was given a refund of Rs1000/- .. Well, haven't received this amount yet (some days needed in processing, I am told), but doesn't take away an iorta from the memorable experience (for all the wrong reasons) that we had in this property.
