Friendly staff, clean & relaxing place

Het kleinschalige en rustige karakter is heerlijk. De spa is super. Sumer aan de receptie staat altijd voor je klaar, net zoals Aris. De fietstocht naar de waterval moet je zeker doen. Een dag op pad geweest met Dodik de chauffeur, was helemaal Top!

De chef van het restaurant kookte niet helemaal naar mijn smaak. De diverse ontbijten waren daarentegen wel weer goed!

Delicious food, great pool and very friendly staff

Unfortunately there is a construction going on right next to the hotel.

The atmosphere and the resort itself is a Gem hidden in the small village. We have a wonderful experience here, so relax and so calm 😍😍 ~ Friendly and helpful staffs all around the hotel ~ delicious food and various of choices ~ super clean and comfy room ~ well maintained facilities I m missing it now when I writing review, the resort make me feel so good and will definitely come back again 🫶🏻🫶🏻

We stayed 5 nights at this beautiful Hotel outside of Ubud 🌴 We loved the location as it is more quiet than Ubud City and we loved enjoying the stunning rice field view 🫶🏼 They offer free shuttle to Ubud City Center every day, so it’s easy to go around 🙌🏼 The staff were super friendly and we felt welcome from the beginning - thank you a lot! ☺️ A big plus was the super yum complimentary breakfast - it was various and plenty and we enjoyed it to the fullest 🤤 The rooms are spacious and clean and you have a really nice view 🌱 We would definitely stay there again 😍

One thing that bothered us was the noises coming from other rooms during the night. The rooms aren’t very sound proof :/ But they provide you with earplugs so it’s not that big of a deal.

The Wakanda is set among the rice paddies and is a serene & peaceful area outside of the busyness of Ubud. The rooms were lovely with the exception of the bed.. Great size, however very hard. The bath is beautiful and if you get a room overlooking the pool area it's quite picturesque. Great Day Spa and Yoga Shala, however Yoga is only available 3 times a week. They have bicycles to go on leisurely rides in the surrounding village. They have a shuttle service into Ubud which is fabulous. The pool is divine. The food in the restaurant was quite disappointing, especially the breakfast (included) which is Indonesian and sadly not cooked fresh as ordered. I rate this property ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Das Frühstück war sehr gut und man hatte eine tolle Auswahl. Ruhige Lage. Toller Pool, Garten und Spabereich.

Im Bad roch es leider nach Fäkalien, war bei der offenen Raumgestaltung schon sehr störend.

Дуже гарна локація і готель. Багато рослин і зелені. Кімната простора і затишна. Смачний сніданок та привітливий персонал. Все дуже сподобалось

There is a lot of construction happening around the place and my view was directly onto a very ugly and very noisy construction site. I think that for the time that this is going on they should not put guests on that side of the hotel because it is very disappointing and unpleasant. There was a lot of noise from the construction during the day from about 8am. Music and loud banging/drilling. It was impossible so relax in the room and I was unable to sit and enjoy the balcony because of the noise and ugly view of the worksite.

Le lieu est vraiment sublime c’est un paradis de verdure calme et reposant. Le dépaysement est total, le personnel aux petits soins pour vous, les chambres sont soigneusement décorée et le petit déjeuner avec une vue époustouflante.

Het personeel was enorm vriendelijk echt heel fijn. Ze waren erg geïnteresseerd en wilde altijd helpen. Het uitzicht was formidabel! Je bent omringd met rijstvelden. De kamers waren ruim, schoon en modern met een prachtig stenen bad. Ook het personeel in het restaurant was erg vriendelijk. Ontbijt menu was erg groot zodat je altijd iets anders kan kiezen. Wij vonden het erg prettig dat de locatie buiten Ubud ligt, lekker weg van de drukte en hectiek. Een Grab taxi was heel gemakkelijk te boeken.

Helaas was er veel herrie door de bouwwerkzaamheden naast onze kamer. Al heeft dit ons verblijf niet minder fijn gemaakt. Daarnaast vonden wij de bedden niet heel comfortabel maar desondanks hebben we ons verblijf verlengd.

Nous avons bien aimé l'hôtel et ses installations, une très jolie chambre et un personnel très souriant.les petits déjeuners sont bons et très copieux contrairement à ce qui est servi au dîner. C'est un bel établissement mais peut mieux faire surtout que de la concurrence est train de se bâtir à côté.

Ce que nous n'avons pas apprécié c'est la partie restaurant qui n'est pas à la hauteur : Pizza industrielle, ribs de porcs seulement 4 toutes petites côtes ( c'est la première fois depuis que nous sommes à Bali que nous avons quitté le restaurant en ayant faim). Les desserts la tarte au citron meringuée s'avère être une espèce de tarte au flan industriel sans meringue. Autre chose qui nous a un peu choqué, cela fait plus d'une décennie que nous voyageons et nous avons fait des hôtels de plus grands standing, lorsque vous faites votre checkout, vous payez la facture jusque là aucun souci. Ensuite on vous demande d'attendre avant de partir car quelqu'un va vérifier la chambre, et là on vous prend pour des voleurs, en insistant sur le fait qu'il ne trouve pas une petite serviette de table dans laquelle était entreposé un couteau. La personne ne trouvait pas, alors on nous empêchait de partir, c'est juste inadmissible. Mon mari a dû retourner et cette serviette était juste là sous les yeux de personne. C'est le genre de chose qui gâche la fin d'un séjour dans un établissement et qui fait malheureusement baisser la note

Das Essen im Restaurant und auch das Frühstück waren super lange und nicht wirklich geschmeckt, wenn man 5 Tage im Hotel verbringt, weiß man nicht mehr was man da essen kann. am besten immer woanders essen Das Zimmer hat keine Wände, das Klo und das Bad sind offen. wenn man duscht, ist das Wasser überall und es ist extrem feucht und riecht nicht gut. Im Zimmer hat es auch nach Klo gerochen weil es nie sauber geputzt war obwohl ich zweimal darum gebeten hatte. die Preise im Spa sind 4 Mal teurer als woanders und die Qualität ist nicht wirklich gut. Ich hatte so ein Gefühl, dass die Masseurin 2 Menschen gleichzeitig die Massage gemacht hat. Man zahlt auch 21% Extra für Service und Steuer. es ist auch ziemlich weit von Ubud, je nach Verkehr 30-50 Minuten.

- hellhörige Zimmer - das Essen im Restaurant ist geschmacklich ok, allerdings im Vergleich recht teuer (Frühstück ist allerdings sehr zu empfehlen und reichlich) - Lage ist ca. 30 min außerhalb von Ubud (es gibt allerdings einen kostenlosen Shuttle oder man nimmt sich ein Grab Taxi)

Location

The room was amazing. An open room concept with the bathtub inside was spot on. They decorated the bathtub with flowers which looked incredible. Hospitality was 'A' grade. Sweet polite and helpful staff. Food was amazing as well. The restaurant interior is very photogenic :)

No one told us that you couldn't take bath in the tub with the flowers. We went in and noticed that there were worms inside. We called up reception and they had the tub cleaned in no time. But it was a little weird seeing worms in the bath tub.

The room itself was pleasant and situated in a favorable location. The availability of a free shuttle service to the city center, providing both pick-up and drop-off, was incredibly convenient. I thoroughly enjoyed participating in the complimentary morning yoga class. On our wedding anniversary, the team went above and beyond by arranging towel arrangements, adding flowers to the bathtub, and surprising us with a complimentary photoshoot session, including one free photo as a keepsake.

There are a few areas that could be improved. The breakfast quality was subpar and could benefit from enhancements. It would also be preferable to have a glass door separating the WC from the shower area in the room for improved hygiene. Additionally, there were concerns regarding pest control, as we encountered numerous insects on the porch and even had a large lizard enter the room. The staff had to employ specific tools to safely capture and remove the lizard.

Beautiful decor, friendly staff, extensive breakfast offering, location to rice fields.

Rice fields/patties held a ritual where they burned the field. Our room was completely full of smoke and literally everything smelled like smoke for 2 days - all our clothes and bedding, it was really disappointing. The traffic in Ubud was also a nightmare, so being just outside of the city ended up being more of a 1hour effort to go in vs a 20-ish min drive which was a shame.

Really nice facility, stuff and the environment. great breakfast. Really nice view outside the room and near the pool.

The bathroom and toilet don't have door or cover or Curtin. it is not good at all for the privacy.

the only thing I didn’t like was everything was charged to the room. It would have been nice to pay for things as we went, as an option, but was only allowed to pay for everything at the end of our stay.

the view over the rice fields where breathtaking, especially from the pool or the restaurant. Also the personal there was quite helpful and super friendly. They supported us in the best way as one of us become ill.
