I cannot recommend this accommodation enough. This was our best stay in Sri Lanka. The tree house room was very unique and has been skilfully crafted to provide good quality and well built accommodation. The room was comfortable, with a fridge and air conditioning. The outdoor bathroom allows you to feel immersed in nature. This is the true meaning of a “tree house”, with trees surrounding you and birds flying past while you shower - magical! The bathroom was kept clean and lovely and warm shower too. Just make sure not to leave any belongings outside as monkeys will steal it! The swimming pool area is clean and surrounded by jungle. The staff and owner were incredibly helpful and polite throughout our stay. The owner arranged a tuktuk for us to visit Sigiriya and Danbulla for the day for a reasonable price, and allowed us to pay in GBP rather than Rupee which was helpful. We had breakfast both mornings of our stay and the evening meal once, both were delicious and plentiful. 2 tips to improve - a safe in the room would have been helpful (although the accommodation and room felt trustworthy). We would have liked to pay on card, but this doesn’t seem possible in many Sri Lankan accommodations. Thank you for making our stay enjoyable and keep up the good work.

Sitzgelegenheiten im Essbereich könnten gemütlicher sein. Frühmorgens wurde gewischt, egal ob man dort sass.

Das ist mal was besonderes, Übernachtung in einem Baumhaus und das so mitten im Wald. Zimmer einfach und sauber. Riesenbadezimmer im freien. Sehr empfehlenswert. Sehr freundlicher Chef der alles im Griff hat.

El sitio está aceptable, las fotos son una maravilla pero no son la realidad, nos dejó bastante que desear. La habitación muy oscura, el baño dejaba que desear. El personal era amable. Pero la comida muy decepcionante, sobretodo los desayunos y las cenas, fuimos siempre fuera. Creo que el precio es excesivo tratandose de Sri Lanka

Extra tea bags and milk would have been great. Couldn't find a bed sheet for the small bed to cover at night.

This hotel is the perfect place to stay for a couple of nights to get the full jungle experience. We stayed in one of their tree houses and it was so cool! The pool is beautiful and the location is right next to the Hurulu eco park. The hotel also organised a tuktuk to Lion rock on the day we arrived which didn’t take long at all. The food in the evening was really tasty and they offer free tea whenever you want it. Would recommend!

The stay in the tree house was amazing. The place is very nice and clean. It has a nice pool outside too with a small pool for kids aswell. There were rabbits, gooses and chickens.Almost like a tiny Zoo.😁 The breakfasts and the dinners were so delicious that we ate 3 times there. They have the best pineapple jam and kottu rotti in the world!!So tasty an very delicious. There was a lot of variety and we were able to try a lot of sri lankan specialities! 😋Everything was explained very well. The two women in the kitchen do an amazing job! We have to mention the friendly staff: They were amazing and they took very good care of us! Namal, the host, is so friendly!! He organised all the tours for us and answered all the questions about culture, food, trips and sri lanka. WE RECOMMEND THE VILLAGETOUR AND THE SAFARI WITH ASANKEH, WHO LIVES NEAR BY. He takes very good care of you and the Nature in the Nationalpark.Thank you for hosting us. 🤩🤩🤩🥰We would stay with you anytime again.🙏🙏🙏🙏

The special rooms provides privacy. The service is excellent. Namal is supportive, if asked, gives you historical and background explanation of all the places or additional ideas what to visit.

Dit is een geweldige plek om te verblijven. De accommodatie bevindt zich in het groen, op een gemakkelijke locatie om de omgeving te ontdekken. De kamer was heel proper en het personeel enorm vriendelijk. Ook het zwembad was aan aangename, mooie plaats om te rusten. Het ontbijt is uitgebreid en vers. We hebben twee keer ‘S avonds en één keer ‘s middags ter plekke gegeten en de lokale gerechten waren heel lekker. Ons verblijft was super! Dankjewel.

Śniadanie bardzo dobre, zwłaszcza że nawiązywało do miejscowej kuchni. Znakomity pomysł z lokalizacją domków na drzewach. W łazience inny niż w pokojach rodzaj "klimatyzacji" ale super. No i basenik pięknie podświetlony, w którym po całym dniu zwiedzania można się schłodzić i odprężyć

Domki bez dostępu do internetu. Można z niego korzystać tylko w restauracji. Brak w pokoju nawet najmniejszej szafy z wieszakami - kłopot z suszeniem odzieży.

Hotel muy bonito. Habitaciones cómodas con baño exterior privado. Dispone de zona de piscina, gimnasio y espacio de descanso. Zona ajardinada muy cuidada donde tienen un pequeño recinto con pequeños animales (patos, conejos, gallinas) muy bien cuidados. Atención excelente por todo el personal. Nos ayudaron en lo que necesitamos, haciéndonos recomendaciones de lugares para visitar. Restaurante propio con comida típica exquisita. Repetimos en varias ocasiones. Altamente recomendable. Calidad-precio inmejorable.

The place is magic, we had a tree house that was very nice and confortable. You feel like sleeping in the nature. The services were all good, there's a beautiful pool were you can relax and spend spare time. The owner is very kind and took care of us. The dinner and the breakfast they prepeared are very good, rich and cheap. We spent only two nights there but we would have stayed more cause we loved this resort.

Tree house was such a unique experience that you don’t find in many places. The pool area was beautiful and great for a cool down after a busy day. The staff were lovely, super helpful and catered to all our needs!

Amazing experience staying in the tree house, my family loved it. We occupied 3 of the treehouses close to the pool, a perfect location for us. Ruwan and his staff were appreciative of guests and their hospitality was 10/10! Each day they’d ask us what we’d like to eat for breakfast/dinner and set the table beautifully. We had breakfast included which was traditional Sri Lankan (hoppers, seeni sambal, fruits) which we loved. We paid additional for dinner which was reasonable price and very tasty! Highly recommend! Ruwan’s chefs are amazing, ask for the pol roti, the best I’ve had in Sri Lanka. Pool was amazing we had a great time swimming and doing yoga! Ruwan can organise anything! Village tour as well as the elephants is a must! Wish we spent an extra night here.

We were staying three nights at the Ambasewana Tree House Resort. The resort is family-run and Ruwan with his wife Asha and the staff made our stay especially memorable. We had booked including breakfast. And what a breakfast it was: all the Sri-Lankan delicacies were served: egg-appam, milk hoppers, coconut pancakes along with the spicy alternatives of potatoe-stuffed paratha and coconut paratha. Everything home-cooked! Twice we also had our dinner at the resort and the spread we were served was again outstanding. Ruwan was very helpful in organizing transport to the Sigiriya Rock and the Dambulla cave temple. Habarana is definitely a good place to stay if you intend to explore the cultural triangle on day trips. And we recommend the Ambasewana Resort as your base station. We were there in May and it was actually too hot but the pool is beautiful and well-maintained. The mandatory afternoon dip was the perfect the cool down.

I had booked this hotel thru booking Com and blocked the room thru card however at the counter they denied card. As a traveller it is impossible for us to carry so much of cash. I did not like this behaviour
