Everything was great : guesthouse, service and location.

We only spent one night here, but it definitely met our expectations. We needed a quiet place with parking so that we could catch a ferry. Front desk was so helpful—-very friendly. Hotel is attached to a bar and a bakery. There seem to be a lot of locals who hang out and schmooze at the bar, and. it was fun to watch the lively arguments they were having. Our room didn’t face the sea directly, but we got a balcony overlooking the mountains and the sea. It was lovely. The rooms are clean, functional and good sized. Solid choice and I enjoyed the short stay.

Cons: If you are looking for a resort hotel, this is not it. It’s not on the beach, for example. It’s a functional, practical option for those who need a clean, safe, and comfortable stay.

Really there is not much to complain, so I would say there is room for improvement: There is no breakfast, but you can go to the bakery under the hotel. The pastries are a bit plain.

My summary: Booking plenimenary questions were answered in a nice manner and with full details. This is modern building with a clean & tempting bakery and a small bar & nice terrace on the ground floor at mid - Spilt side of the town, about 20 minutes’ walk from old town. Finding the place was easy, but travelling and parking is problematic around here, though it was end of August. There is a free parking slot if booked in time, but there is tight space. The looking of building is a 4 star, staircase is spacious, doors with card keys, working well. The surrounding is pretty, almost all buildings are new and built tight. The room is a 3.5 star, clean but not spotless clean, we needed to wipe over table and such to sanitize. There was a good size fridge for 2-3 people. We had some fight with switches were wired sometimes opposite way, same as taps, wrong direction of cold/hot. When we got used to the room it felt cosy and homely. We had lovely view onto the see and some of the town. Personnel was kind, though bakery ladies a bit unusual by habit. I can recommend the place if you want to spend time in the town of Makarska and stay or take some tours around but a accommodating yourself in a pleasant place. I would not suggest the beach of new town, it is very crowded, all about money, also dirty and smells bad. We travelled a lot about (Jelsa, Bol, Bikokovo, and many small beaches). Sailings are worth the money. There are good sea routes via Ferry to near islands. Plenty of money needed here. Have fun!
