I certainly can say that the Orchard is an absolutely beautiful place. Property: Never seen any place that uses Aesop room spray - that was a great touch. Kitchen facility and tools were fantastic too. Also there were a lots of sitting spaces inside and out.

As other reviewers mentioned, there were a lots on centipedes inside at night. I thought someone was high maintenance, but it's not really the case. There were loads of centipedes. It is easy to put it down to just ''country living" but I had to pick up more than 50 and take them outside every evening during our 4 nights stay. They kept coming back every hour, and it wasn't very relaxing in the end. I think this can be avoided by sealing the entrance doors properly. They have 3 doors that have so many insects coming in under the door and floor that it must be easy to seal the gaps somehow. By the way, I didn't mind spiders and frog came inside. I am just mentioning the centipedes because I would love to stay The Orchard again as long as this fixed.

the land size and layout of the property

couches were not compfy, the bathroom leaked water from the bottom of the shower screen outside through to the kitchen then at nights millipedes would be covered in the bathroom. internet kept dropping out and had to resign in Netflix.

Beautiful and quaint - really nicely furnished and decorated. The (extra) detached bathroom was very cute but we did see people walk across the back - lucky we weren’t in the tub then

All part of nature, but there were spiders and spider webs in quite a few places around the house - not just hard to reach places like ceilings but window frames, towel rail, stair case etc

The whole vibe of this place was just correct. The vinyl records was so much fun to go through

Even though the refrigerator is a total vibe, the freezer space was tiny and I really struggled. If you had a couple of before and you are there for the weekend for drinks, you need to have an esky for your eyes because all you can fit is one bag of ice in the freezer and nothing else.

Loved everything about this place, it's beautifully done with top quality finishes and touches. The spa overlooking nature was magical, would absolutely book again.

Absolutely beautiful place to stay inside and out. It was peaceful and had everything you could need and more. The spa room was a lovely experience. Would definitely stay again.

Beautiful house in a wonderful location. Super quiet and peaceful. The decor is lovely and nothing the owner hasn't thought off to make your stay as comfortable as possible. The beds are very comfortable and the seperate spa house next to the house is very nice too. It is only a few minutes drive from the centre of Daylesford yet it feels you are completely remote.

Due to its rural and beautiful nature setting one can expect a few insects here and there however the house unfortunately was full of spiders, flies and dead flies. We had to spray for quite a bit to try and get rid of all the spiders. The various outdoor areas for relaxing and entertaining could have done with a tidy up as well as it just all looked very dirty which could have been solved with a leaf blower. It was also a bit of a surprise that there was no bathroom upstairs where the bedrooms are. This is not obvious from any information provided about the property and it would be good for the property manager to disclose this as it may inconvenience certain guests significantly.
