We had a great time staying at this property. The property is very private, and we were able to relax around the fire after soaking in the lovely hot tub and sauna. Jack was very attentive to any questions, and their smart setup works quite well. The views are excellent, and the convenience and proximity to Tannersville & Hunter, while still being well back off the road, can’t be beat. The hosts provide great recommendations for the area that really helped us find fun local activities. Highly recommended!

We had a great experience at this rental for the weekend. Hosts were accommodating, friendly, and they went out of their way to make sure our stay was great. The hot tub, sauna, and kitchen were amazing. We'll be back in the summer for more time there.

This property was perfect for a quiet holiday weekend. We stayed over Thanksgiving and the kitchen was great for preparing food. The living room with fireplace was cozy, and it was nice to have space to explore outside with our dog. I would highly recommend staying here, Jack was a great host!

This is a wonderful place to get away. It's a quiet peaceful property with lots of open space and for little walks behind the house. It's close to town and near many hikes.The owner was very accessible and helpful with tips on what to do and helping when I had some car trouble.

This is a very old, but charming home. Perfectly located near Hunter Mountain...surrounded by amazing hiking trails, waterfalls, mountain bike trails and awesome breweries. Jack is an amazing host. The house is clean, kitchen is stocked, hot tub and sauna were clean and 100% functional. Great stay!

The house itself is very rustic and dated. Floors creak, doorways get wedged into the floor when used, old/cracking furniture, low ceilings, odd shaped rooms and quirky layout. That being said, everything worked as intended. The heating was phenomenal (we had everything set to 68 degrees and still had to open some windows in November 35 degree weather), the water pressure was good and stayed warm enough for all guests, and all appliances/amenities worked as described. The layout was awkward in that there was 1 bedroom on the main level but 2 full bathrooms. Upstairs were 3 bedrooms with 1 of them having only a sink and toilet with minimal partitions. The kitchen was stocked very well, probably better than my home kitchen. The sauna took some figuring out to turn on but heated up quickly after. The hot tub was amazing. The TV entertainment center was appreciated as well as the connection of Alexa to many of the home's lighting. It rained for the better part of our trip so many of the outdoor amenities such as the fire pit weren't able to be used. The owner was very friendly and communication was top notch. I felt familiar with the property and its inner workings before even arriving. All my concerns were addressed. The proximity to nearby Hunter mountain as well as the adjacent town while being far away from other homes is a major bonus.

Stayed at this property during an autumn hiking trip. The property is in a fantastic location. Close to town and not far from multiple trailheads. House was rustic but clean and enjoyable. Hot tub was clean and sauna was a nice addition.

My family stayed for a wonderful weekend at this house. Jack and his wife were very helpful. Perfect location near Hunter Mountain, clean and cozy place. We enjoyed a lot sauna and hot tub. We will be back.

My family and I (6 adults, 1 baby, and a dog) had a great time Labor Day weekend at Jack's retreat. With 4 bedrooms, a wood burning fireplace and an impressive lot, Jack's home was the perfect Catskills retreat. Our dog ran for hours, while our family grilled and enjoyed the extremely spacious hot tub! Jack was ever accommodating, even going the extra mile by bringing us extra firewood to our front door as we got back from dinner. Extremely close to Hunter and all shops/stores, I'll definitely be back. Thanks Jack for a memorable weekend!

Jack & Anne's farm-house is the perfect Catskills getaway with all the modern amenities we tend to seek these days. It doesn't any get better. My family arrived on July 2nd, and I'm not going out on a limb when I say we all fell in love with the property the instant we turned down its dirt road. The house itself has all the charm you'd expect from a 19th century build. There's a bedroom on the ground floor with its own bathroom, 3 bedrooms upstairs, 1 of which has a half-bath and skylight that allowed me to stargaze right from bed every single night. The living room is very comfortable and even offers a reading corner, as well as an AppleTV. The kitchen has been beautifully remodeled and features everything you'd need. (We do a lot of cooking!). There's also a full bath/laundry room off of the kitchen. The yard is spectacular. I spent the vast majority of my time bouncing between the fire pit (which I'm very envious of) and the hot tub. There was also plenty of room for my dog to play on his runner- it's been a week since we got home and he's still barely recovered. There were also a couple of hiking trails off of the property I was able to bring him on. For our purposes the location itself couldn't have been better. We spent many years renting a home during the off season in East Jewett. Which the farmhouse was mere minutes away from. Colgate Lake, The Last Chance Cheese Shop, North-South Lake, NY Ziplines; everything we wanted was at our finger tips. Jack & Anne were incredibly kind and accommodating. It was a pleasure for us all to get to meet them. I would certainly recommend this rental to friends, family and anyone to be frank. We will unquestionably try to rent it again next year for the week of the fourth. Some side notes: The Wifi is strong both inside and out. There was an Amazon echo available to us, which was great. The beds were all very comfortable. And last but not least, there was an abundance of wildlife. Keep your cameras handy!

I wanted to be in the woods, but still close to some things to do. This property checked all the boxes, Fireplace, outdoor fire pit, grill, big kitchen, hot tub, sauna, good TV, multiple bathrooms and secluded. We felt really comfortable there.

Had a great stay at this old farm house with modern amenities. We had everything we needed and really enjoyed the outdoor spaces.

Each person in our family of 4 enjoyed themselves immensely. A wonderful property equipped with a hut tub (my son's favorite) & perfect out door fire pit (S'mores not included ;). Hiking was the primary purpose for our summer time trip, and the recommendations for different locations were right on target as well. Our hosts are very friendly, & yet not imposing. I highly recommend this charming farm house.

After working from home since March and staring at the same four walls all day we were desperate to get away for some peace and quiet but still with all the mod cons and that is exactly what we got. The house is lovely and photos don’t actually do it justice and Jack was so helpful and responsive (it had snowed the night before we arrived and he had cleared the road and path around the house to the hot tub and sauna to make sure everything was easily accessible when we arrived) with all the questions we had We spent a lot of time in the house, hot tub and sauna and letting the dogs run wild in the huge yard but also spent a couple of days ski-ing which was easily accessible with the closest lift only a mile up the road, and also rented snowmobiles which was fun. I also had to work one day and wifi was great. Thanks so much for everything Jack - we will be back next year for some more r&r.

Accommodating, isolated, beautiful, well stocked, so much character. I want to have children one day and bring them back here. It’s close to town (5 min drive) but still isolated and gorgeous. We’ll be back!
