Feb 2020We stayed in the heart of the winter and my kids did not leave the property for two days. Plenty to do and amazing views. Would definitely go back again. Just don’t speed. 56 in a 35 is reckless driving there!!

The house has so many unique areas, places to watch TV while others sleep in, a fantastic view of the Bay. The owners were always quick to respond to any inquiry and had one of the most efficient check in/check out processes possible. Its a memory chock full of the very best.

Jul 2018We loved this rental for our family of 9 adults (included one 8 months pregnant ) plus a 7yr old, a 5 yr old, a 2 yr old plus two infants under 10 months. The house and property was wonderfully furnished to handle the vacation needs for everyone. Plenty of space to play, swim, relax, hide away for a nap or just read a book.
Tom Lang was excellent with his suggestions & prompted replies to questions. We plan to return to this gem!

Sep 2018We had a wonderful time staying here for my Mom's 75th birthday. We were surprised at how quiet of a town Reedville is, but it was absolutely perfect for our getaway. It was so peaceful sitting on the platform overlooking the bay. Our kids had fun beating the adults at ping pong. We enjoyed the kayaks, and saw some dolphins while we were enjoying our time staring out at the water. Tom was super responsive and so accommodating. Highly recommend.

Nov 2022We had a wonderful stay on an absolutely beautiful piece of property! Everything was very very clean - there was not anything that we were missing. The kitchen was very well stocked with appliances and utensils.. The host communicated with us throughout the entire process and answered any questions we had immediately. I would highly recommend this property.

The kids loved the gentle waves and we loved the kayaks right on on-site! If you stay here, make SURE you perch in those adirondack chairs during the sunrises and moonrises - they are priceless!

The kids loved the gentle waves and we loved the kayaks right on on-site! If you stay here, make SURE you perch in those adirondack chairs during the sunrises and moonrises - they are priceless!

Jun 2022We had an amazing vacation! The house is beautiful, spacious, and very child friendly. The huge yard was great for the kids to run around. There were yard games available to keep everyone busy and having fun when we were not down at the beach. Great fire pit with wonderful view of the water for the nightly s’mores! The large bbq grill and gorgeous deck allowed us to dine outside multiple times. The beach area has a nice amount of sand that remains even when the tide is in. The water was warm and is nice and shallow for those families with small children like ours. The owners provide kayaks with the rental, and we also rented paddle boards for a very reasonable additional cost. There were plenty of life vests of all sizes available and other floating lounge rafts that were great! We would definitely plan another stay here!

Although we had gloomy weather all weekend, we still had plenty of things to do to keep us entertained. Ping pong, fooseball, and a spacious kitchen to cook every day. Tom was beyond responsive when needed. Thank you! We plan to be back soon!

The beach, the game room, the sun room where the kids did crafts, the outside deck, the fire pit, two fridges to hold all the food we would need to feed us all. There are just no negatives. We never did get to sit on the inviting front porch as there was just too much to do out back. I loved the game room for the kids so we could have quiet morning time while some of the adults slept in. Really, if you have a large family, or even a smaller family that enjoys privacy, do not hesitate to book this beautiful home. We have so many memories that will stay with us. The easter egg hunt was extremely fun, and we hid too many to count. If anything, you should plan your next vacation here. You may find some more eggs! (they were plastic, no worries). Be sure to look out for the otters, ospreys, bald eagles, fox, bunnies and tree frogs! Kayaks and bikes were much appreciated! Thank you, Thank you Tom!

Aug 2021Was a great place to do a family week beach getaway. They provided kayaks and bikes plus other activities like cornhole, floats, firepit, ext. Private beach was great and you can go out over 300 feet and still have the water to your wasteline. One thing is you might want to find something to deter the jellyfish they got bad one or two days

May 2020Very quiet area, large backyard the g. kids loved running in and playing on the hammock. Beach is small, but great for keeping the younger g. child safe, water shallow for some distance. The house is comfortable, clean and enjoyed the different sitting rooms so everyone could have space for quiet time, work time. The front porch was a good place to get away from some of the wind we had. Went to a beautiful nature preserve, Hughlett? Small walk thru the woods that has a large marsh, beach the kids could run and get their feet wet. For several visits we were the only ones there. The kitchen is well stocked and my children cooked us amazing meals. The 2nd refrigerator is a nice . We had a great, maybe too relaxing time since the days got away from us. :)

May 2019This is a very special property. There is so much here, we did not leave the property the entire time. We had a lot of specific requirement; handicap accessible, main level bedroom and bath, dog friendly, kid friendly... This was one of the few properties that met them all! This is better than the ocean! You are right on the water, the beach is private and gentle, and the views are endless. It didn't feel like we were only a few hours drive from home.. Its the PERFECT location for our big family vacation.. we will be back.

Sep 2022This home is beautiful and very spacious for a large family. Lots to do and see without leaving the property. Great place to relax and unwind. We saw dolphins and bald eagles from the waterside deck. Very comfortable seating inside and out.

Sep 2017This beautiful house has hosted a group of girlfriends and their kids over the past 8 years, so it really feels like home to us. It is spacious for everyone to have their space and yet the common areas are perfect for long conversations and catching up over great meals and wine. The bay offers easy access to swimming and water play and the sleepy town of Fleeton offers great biking and runs. Fresh seafood right down the road is a must. The owners have updated the house over the years and maintained it well, so it feels fresh every time we visit. We’ll continue to come back year over year as long as the Langs will let us!

Nov 2022The property is very spacious with a beautiful view of the water, gorgeous sunrises and moon rises, with lots of comfortable seating outdoors, a great firepit and a shed full of recreational equipment for big and small! Be aware that occasionally there is a fishy odor coming from a nearby processing plant that fills the air, though brief. We had a few things that needed attention and the owner was very responsive and helpful and even had something repaired while we were there by a very nice handyman. We had a big job of cleaning the grill but I'm sure that's because the last renters did not do it, unfortunately. It's a great size house for family with all the necessary amenities and more, and we enjoyed our week.

The pictures were all true to the place. The only draw back was mosquitos and lack of restaurants open( which was not the owners Fault). Would Love to do it Again!!!

Another big plus is Fleeton Seafood Wholesalers less than two miles away where you can purchase steamed crabs, clams and oysters at a very reasonable price.
It was a wonderful week and we all are planning to return next year.

Oct 2017The house is spacious and accommodating, with all the amenities we would want. The waterfront location is attractive and tranquil. We have seen great wildlife from the back porch including bald eagles, osprey and more. Sunrises over the bay, as well as moon rise in the evening, can be an added plus. The owner is responsive and communication is excellent.
We will plan to visit again!

Jul 2020The house is roomy and very comfortable. The kitchen is wonderfully stocked. We spent most of our time outdoors at the spacious private beach, on the bayside deck (shaded from noon on thru the afternoon), enjoying a breeze. We used the hammock, had s’mores over the fire pit, used the kayaks and bikes, and had a terrific water balloon fest in the yard. The kids loved the swings/ climbing set, and played corn hole and ladder ball. The 90’ loblolly pines provide vibrant color and shade on the hot summer days. It’s all a feast for the soul.

Aug 2022The Chesapeake Bay Beach House was the perfect location for our three generation reunion, Grandparents and Grandkids (and their parents)! The house was even better than the posting, extremely clean and well equipped, and spacious for our group of 13. Whenever eight grandchildren got to be too much, we all went to the beach for "swimming" and sand castle making and kayaking, water heals everything! The huge, private sandy beach gave us room to spread out, and the shallow water was great for young kids. Tom was responsive to our questions ("where is this light switch?" and "where can I find a spare light bulb?"). He is not ready to sell the home to us (we are ready to move in!), so we will have to start planning our next visit! Bring sunscreen and some bug spray. Don't bring your best bathing suit if you come in July, there was some red algae in the bay water that stained some things. Best beach vacation ever!
