Jul 2021What a good experience! Nice backyard yard,cool dock, big yard. Because of rain there is no beach, the water is about 4 feet right off the dock, very rocky! House was great, clean, and the basement cooled off after running some fans.
Tonie is great! Called us to check in, and was super easy to stay in touch. Cottage could use some basic upgrades, but nothing bad at all. The sunsets and patio were great!

Aug 2020We were very pleased with the cabin as is provided ample space for our family. I was initially quite saddened by the lack of sandy beach however the beaches in Sutton’s bay made up for it . I would recommend removing the sandy beach pic until the water levels retreat. The place was VERY well equipped with toys for the kids, water toys, yard games etc. WiFi also worked Very well when needing access for work. Overall a 5/5!!

Sep 2021we thought the place was perfect. we have two little boys who enjoyed the swing set and toys. we enjoyed the views, comfort and cleanliness of the home and the quiet road. we will definitely be back!

Jul 2021We really enjoyed our week at this cottage. It is on the water, and a dock was in place for us to use. There is a ladder from the dock to get into the water. I know that the water level changes from year to year on Lake Michigan. When you step into the water from the ladder, the water was about knee deep (on an adult). There is no beach at this property, but we were in the water a lot searching for Petoskey stones. Speaking of the water, if you rent this cottage make sure to ask about the kayaks. We did utilize those a lot, and had a lot of fun!
There are a couple of beaches nearby. Both very nice. This property is close to a very nice upscale supermarket with good prices, also.
Tonie was a great hostess, and was available when we had a question about the property.
Just to be clear on the bed situation: There are 2 bedrooms on the main floor; one bedroom has a queen sized bed, the second bedroom has 2 twin beds. There is a queen sized bed in the basement (which is a walk-out basement). There is a full bathroom on the main floor, and a half bath in the basement. The cottage was comfortable, and the location is nice. It has a fenced in yard.
The kitchen is really pretty stocked. Lots of pans, pots, dishes, etc.
Overall a nice place to stay.

Jul 2022Very easy , no-touch/no-fuss check in. The cottage is small but very charming and thoughtfully updated. The view and the water is spectacular! Crystal clear, cold, clean water perfect for open water swimmers or kayakers.

Sep 2021Tonie is great and always a phone call away. We enjoyed our stay it was very relaxing the water was fantastic. Our grans had fun playing with the kayak and floating toys. The cupboard with board games was excellent. We played games at night instead of being in our phones!! Just a couple glitches but nothing that could ruin your stay. Enjoyable.

Jul 2022The views as soon as you walk in are incredible. The outside deck is the perfect place to grill out, have a family dinner, and sip a glass of wine as the sun goes down. We didn’t utilize the beach (rocky) and dock looked on the smaller side but you could certainly use it to send off a kayak. We biked the 1.5 miles down to the public beach point in Suttons bay. The cottage is older with some older house quirks but has what you need. Host is very responsive. Thanks for a great trip to the Leelaneau Peninsula!

Jun 2022The location and view of the Bay - simply amazing. Waking up and having coffee looking out over the water was absolutely perfect. Only a short jaunt to town / parks / golf and easy access to 22. If you're looking for a 5 star property where you go for the physical structure, this is not the property for you. If you want views, access to water, proximity to town and just being outside in general - you have found the perfect rental. Some minor upgrades could go a long way - upgrading the bedding, standardizing kitchen utensils, one really good deep clean, making better use of the backyard and the lawn furniture, etc. The downstairs bathroom is out in the open - no door. So be mindful of that. Overall - the stay was great. Tonie was proactive and accommodating, her communication was on point and she was responsive. If you wanna take advantage of the real Suttons Bay - this is a great spot.

Aug 2022Beautiful lakefront home - the backyard is lovely, water is perfect! Kayak and canoe provided, we rented paddle boards in town for the week also. House was comfortable, spacious, and well-equipped. Tony was delightful and made us feel so welcome. Wonderful week for our family of four.

Jun 2021beautiful from the lawn; deck; or inside the cottage looking out the window is beautiful. this place would be great for a family with children; many things for them to do inside and outside. we just enjoyed sitting out by the fire at night and on the dock or in a chair watching for eagles and listening to the peaceful sounds. even saw a blue crayfish when on the dock swimming and foraging for food right in the rocks in the water,,,good times

Sep 2021A nice space for a family getaway. It was actually larger then we thought from the pictures we saw. Enjoyed being right on the water with beautiful sunsets. The location was nice because it wasn't too far from town. We recommend a visit for sure.
