Sep 2022We thoroughly enjoyed our week in the cottage on the cove. The cottage was comfortable and well equipped, with good beds, a first rate stove and refrigerator in the kitchen, a lovely bathroom, and a well kept yard. The neighborhood was quiet in spite of it’s incredibly convenient location. We took full advantage of the grocery store and deli within walking distance especially when we didn’t want to venture far for dinner. We also ate at the famous Nunan’s lobster shack twice, where we actually paid pretty reasonable prices for our lobster meals.
Sarah was wonderfully flexible and helpful during our stay.
Great experience all around!

Feb 2017We stayed here for two weeks in August of 2016. The cottage is located on a quiet road with a beautiful view of the tidal marsh across the street. Walking distance to the harbor and all of the amenities offered by Cape Porpoise including restaurants, groceries, and several art galleries. The house is nicely furnished and has a well equipped kitchen. There is a large yard with a Weber grill and plenty of room for yard games or just lounging around. Kennebunkport is 2 miles away and Goose Rocks Beach is a 5 minute drive. Portland is an easy 30 minute ride up the coast. Sarah was an excellent host and was very responsive to our pre arrival communications. Highly recommended for couples, families and anyone interested in spending time in Southern Maine.

Nov 2020We rented the house for Thanksgiving and had a truly wonderful week. We had everything we needed, and Sarah was very attentive when we reached out with questions or small needs. The house was cozy and warm, within walking distance of the Cape Porpoise happenings. The bed and furniture were all very comfortable and we just loved it!

Aug 2021We loved staying in this beautiful house in Cape Porpoise. It is an open floor plan with lots of windows and sunlight, with a gorgeous patio and yard. We loved walking in the neighborhood, along the water to the lobster pound, and the adorable center of town that has everything you need for your stay. We went to Goose Rocks beach every day and the variety of area restaurants. Sarah is a wonderful hostess, we can't wait to come back.

Sep 2019This was a great place for just the two of us and our dog. A five minute ride and we were at Goochs Beach or the shopping area. The cottage is in a quiet neighborhood, walkable to the cape porpoise pier. Definitely recommend!

Aug 2019This Ward St property in Cape Porpoise , Maine, absolutely answered every need me and my family dreamt about for a two week relaxing vacation in Southern Maine.
It’s proximity to Goose Rock Beach and Kennebunkport were easy trips . Cape Porpoise is an ideal New England peaceful enclave with a beautiful harbor and friendly residents!
I plan to return!!!

Aug 2021This is a beautiful cottage, furnished with tasteful antiques from New England. The view, the garden with tomatoes and fresh squash, also roses, and hydrangeas were exquisite. Sara, our hostess pleasant and discreet. A most pleasant stay.

The hosts were fantastic and really attentive. The house is cozy and lovely and the gardens outside the house really impressed us. Sep 2019The house was beautifully updated/decorated and in a very scenic and convenient location to explore Cape Porpoise and Kennebunkport. Unfortunately the house was not as clean as it should have been, but Sarah was very responsive to our issues and fair about adjusting our rate accordingly. Just a note to those who might be staying with babies or toddlers- I would recommend bringing room-darkening curtains for nap time.

Aug 2022Sarah was great to work with. We landed in the middle of heat wave & the house was pretty hot when we arrived, but Sarah hooked us up with fans & that along with opening windows overnight got things comfortable. Bedrooms had AC units so the sleeping temperature was comfy.
Location is beautiful & great for a quick walk to Cape Porpoise or just the neighborhood. Kennebunkport & Goose Rocks beach were also easy to get to.
Sarah was very responsive to all questions & needs… super hostess!
