Nov 2018We were in the area for a wedding. This was a great place to share with friends for the weekend. The place was perfect for the 5 of us. There were so many welcoming touches I can’t name them all. Super clean, well equipped kitchen and surprisingly quiet considering the proximity to route 12. Despite the cold and rain...and the late October date, we used the grill. Laura made a special trip to make sure that was up to par. We made reservations for a summer stay. Can’t wait to try the beach!

Aug 2019We had a great time in Old Forge and this was the perfect place to stay. We had 4 adults and 2 small children and the sleeping arrangements were perfect. Plenty of beds. It was about 20-25 minutes to Water Safari that was nothing. We had everything we needed to make our stay great. The manager (or might of been the owner was so very friendly and kind). There was a grill that we used to make dinner both nights and a fire pit where we cooked marshmellows. A great time was had by all. Would definately book this place again!

The lot was big enough that we needn’t worry that our laughter would disturb our neighbors. Laura checked in and offered assistance if needed. These 5 ladies highly recommend this ADK retreat.

Aug 2022The property was the perfect place for our family getaway "in the woods", with all the comforts and conveniences of home. The place was spotless when we arrived. Check-in was easy and the owner immediately responded to my text messages/questions. We were able to cook our meals and grill out because every utensil and pan or dish we needed were available. The sandy beach was amazing and the fire pit was a great ending to our evenings! Only 20 minutes from Old Forge, making our trip to Enchanted Forest easy. The rooms were all air conditioned and the bathrooms were fully equipped. We had a wonderful time and hope to go back next year :-) Thank you Laura for being the perfect host!

Aug 2018The place was very clean and well equipped with pots, pans, utensils, lots of towels, blankets, extra pillows etc. We were even supplied with wood for a campfire on the grounds! It's location wasn't too far from the main drag in Old Forge. The private beach access is a very convenient short walk away. And the beach is soft, and sandy surrounded by Clear water. The only negative were the beds..they were kinda hard and not very comfortable and we'd need to bring a topper for some of the older folks with bad backs if we came again. Other than that it was a delightful cozy place. Owner was very pleasant as well!

Jul 2019The home was easy to find and enter. It was very clean with several nice amenities; such as, large towels, keurig, ac, and much more. The beach was a short walk away. Nice size yard with a fire pit. Highly recommend.

Jul 2019Stay was good. The surrounding area where we stayed was very quiet and relaxing. Due to the timeline and location the bugs were the only issue, otherwise the house and area were satisfactory for our visit.

Aug 2020Our short vacation was tremendous! The home was super clean, well stocked and had ample room for our eight family members. The owner was very courteous and friendly. One minor problem was addressed immediately. This place is on our short list for future rentals. Fun, fun, fun!!!

Oct 2019My wife and I made a long weekend out of Columbus Day and this was perfect. Plenty of room for the two of us and had everything we needed. Outside had the usual noise of a quiet neighborhood . Occasional train going thru the woods was unexpected but fun. Wrong time of year to use beaches but nice to have in the summer. Road system was a little confusing at first but not a big deal. The White Lake Inn within walking distance was great. Had drinks on the front porch the first night, dinner the second night. Very good. For us this was a 10 out of 10 experence . Steve, 10/18/19

Aug 2018Laura was very accommodating and a pleasure to work with. Elmwood pines was well-suited for us, our children and grandchildren. It has all the amenities of home! Even the rain was not a deterrent as Laura had the cabinet stocked with games to play. The beach was beautiful and very clean. Thank you for a great week!

Jul 2019Laura's property was perfect for our group. Clean.well stocked and close to the water park where our family spent the day. Nice fire pit out back for relaxing in the evening. And we even had a deer walk right by us in the yard. Thank You Laura we will be back.

Aug 2018It was like walking into your second home. So comfortable and roomy. The owner was great to work with. The extra pillows and blankets were irresistible. The satellite television was a nice touch too. The decor was .... well I wanted to move in. Access to the private beach was a big hit with the family. I think we had more fun on the beach than we did at water safari. All of the extras like the kuireg with coffee pods, and beach chairs in the garage for our use made it so much better than a hotel room. All we had to bring was our clothes and food. The kitchen was big enough for our family of 7 (5 adults and 2 children ) to eat at the table. The three bedrooms were comfortable well liked by the whole family. My wife loved the bed in the master bedroom. She slept so well in that bed. The fire pit was great for smores and the on site grill was used to cook supper our first night there. I could go on and on about this place.I was more and more impressed at every turn. Absolutely loved it and Laura. We are looking forward to renting it again hopefully for a longer visit.
