This modest little home was perfect for our family of three and two dogs. It was clean and very well equipped. While it’s not fancy, it’s extra cozy! We were so pleasantly surprised with the Christmas decorations. We did have one maintenance issue, which property manager responded to quickly.

Modest, Clean, Well Equipped
This modest little home was perfect for our family of three and two dogs. It was clean and very well equipped. While it’s not fancy, it’s extra cozy! We were so pleasantly surprised with the Christmas decorations. We did have one maintenance issue, which property manager responded to quickly.

Things that I like: descent and quiet neighborhood, except there is a donkey directly across from the house that makes noise in the morning but it was refreshing to hear coming from the city. It wasn’t too bad. Small but cozy place with lot of old wood cabin feel. Nice enclosed back yard. Things I am disappointed: it needs brighter lighting. There are lamps at every corners with low wattage bulbs, barely able to see anywhere with all the lights on, especially in the kitchen. I have to use the flashlight just to look under the counters. Small kitchen with minimal pots and pans so don’t expect to make a big family meals in it. Descent size bedrooms but the beds are fairly aged. Bottom line, if you are looking for a place to stay for the weekend to go skiing or outdoor activities. It would be okay.

It was satisfactory; but not a place that I would care to return to. The neighborhood was not upscale; multiple houses with very angry pit bulls in their fenced in front yards and offensive signage displayed in some neighbors' yards.

Quick Getaway
Quick trip to go to Oktoberfest. This house was perfect for the 2 of us and our dog! Just a few miles from the Oktoberfest location and the home had everything we needed. Cool Cabins staff was amazing with EZ check-in and friendly every time we spoke to them! Will be back next year.

Great service and on par accommodations. We reserved a different place to stay through Cool Cabins (1 room) and were upgraded to the humble hilltop hideaway. Great customer service from start to finish, and we loved the cabin. Nice kitchen, awesome looking stairs, and comfy beds. And the fenced in backyard was great. Not on the lake it anything, and surrounded by other cabins, but I'd recommend.
