Aug 2022When you stay somewhere that love has been poured into, you feel it the moment you stop into the property, This is what Dan’s place is~ loaded with charm and local flavor in materials and finishes. The glass surrounding the upper floor allowed for a tropical paradise view and cross breeze. So many outdoor places to socialize or find your own corner. We loved it all…the pool was perfect ; feels like a home away from home and many can stay. Location is ideal as Shipwreck beach is our favorite and the Hyatt is wonderful for a coctail right on the ocean if desired We all Enjoyed meeting you Dan!! Thanks for sharing this wonderland of a property and we hope to be back one day!

Aug 2021We were supposed to celebrate our 50th anniversary last year, but Covid postponed things. With Dan's help we were able to schedule for this year. The ten of us just returned home after a wonderful week on Dan and Lynette's property. The house is great with enough bedrooms and baths for our large group. The kitchen-great room area with an ocean view balcony was perfect for cooking, playing games and listening to our 9yr old grandson give concerts on his ukulele.
The backyard is your personal piece of paradise. Beautiful pool and enough nooks and crannies to keep sun and shade lovers happy.
Dan was great, we adopted him into our family. He took care of any questions we had and gave us helpful tips about the area. We can hardly wait to come back and see him again and meet Lynette.

Sep 2022We were a group of 10. My wife and I had stayed in the cottage when it was a B&B and had loved the place. When it was converted to a rental for 10 we knew that we had just the group. The grounds are amazing with a resort-like garden surrounding the pool. The house is spacious with indoor and outdoor seating areas so that even with a large group, it never felt crowded. It even has two sets of laundry equipment to make washing easy for all. It couldn't have been a better getaway. We're looking forward to doing it again.

Friends checked in ahead of us and my first question was, is it as good as the pictures!? The response was YES!!!
This property, though nestled in a neighborhood, feels like you are in your very own garden estate. Simply gorgeous! We had two families, with the adult children joining us and staggering their stays - at one time we had 10 adults and NEVER did we ever feel crowded.
I battled with, do I just lounge by the pool and enjoy this gorgeous place, or do I join the others to explore the rest of island!?.....it was a real battle!
Within a short walk is Poipu Beach, daily we saw turtles and seals on the beach! Also a short walk is the Hyatt, a great place to have a drink on the patio and watch the sunset!
This is a gorgeous place……….to enjoy, just bring your bathing suit, food and drink…….the rest is there waiting for you!

The house is located in an ideal area, in a very quiet neighborhood with a great beach next door (Shipwreck). We walked to Poipu, Koloa Town, and biked to Spouting Horn. We would definitely stay here next time, thanks again!!!

Dec 2021We needed a place for just one night before our flight… so thankful we found this home available! The pool and hot tub were a perfect end to the day, while listening to the luau next door. Perfect location, so close to Poipu, and a short walk to the Hyatt where we watched a gorgeous sunrise and enjoyed their buffet breakfast before our departure. Dan was so friendly, kind, and extra-accommodating. Hopeful to return and stay at his fantastic home again, for more than one day!

Jul 2021We loved the property, so richly landscaped and so many nooks and crannies to tuck away into if that's what you prefer and comfortable family areas if gathering is your preference. There's a close and lovely walk to the ocean near the Hyatt or a further and also pretty walk up to Poipu beach.
The house easily accommodated our three households with children--the bungalow and separate bedroom areas each with bathroom and coffee stations made private time possible, while the communal areas allowed for as much together-time as we wanted.
This was our first time to Hawaii. We took our two children, their spouses and our three grandkids. Ages from 2 to 78 and a fun time was had by all. (So glad there was a baby gate at the top of the stairs!) Any issues or questions we had were answered promptly, completely and without any sense that we were a bother.
A couple of things for visitors, at least in the near future:
first, because of a landslide the road up to the north has limited opening windows--a couple hours early, mid-day and later in the day. Be sure and time your trips north to match the openings or, like us, you'll go all of the way to Princeville and not be able to go further. Second, we couldn't get a reservation into any of the 'good' restaurants (by good, I mean highly recommended and pricier) because they are all booked out through the end of August. So, if you know you want to go to Tidepool or another air-conditioned, luxury restaurant, make your reservations far in advance of your trip. Otherwise, roll with it, open-air spots with the ubiquitous chickens roaming free are available--just prepare for a wait. Speaking of waiting, my kids found that if you ordered ahead at the popular coffee spots, you could walk right up past the huge lines and pick up your coffee/breakfast to go.

Jan 2020We loved the house. It was excellent for multiple families. It was private. Very close within walking to the Hyatt if you wanted to eat, the spa or a drink. Wonderful beach very close. Well stocked kitchen and Dan and Lynne were incredibly accommodating. Thank you for a wonderful space to enjoy the new year 2020!

Jun 2017We loved our stay at your beautiful villa! Our family of 10 which included 4 children 5 and under were accommodated perfectly in the bedrooms and lovely living area. The grounds are gorgeous and when we wanted to see the ocean it was a 5 to 10 minute walk through more beautiful landscaping! We attended a luau at the Grand Hyatt next door and it was a perfect evening, made even better by the fact that it was a short walk to and from the event. Thank you so much for making our first, of hopefully, many visits to beautiful Kauai such a wonderful experience, and, thank you, Mathew, for your assistance!

Mar 2020We just vacationed at this BEAUTIFUL home, and I have to admit I cried when I left! Our stay was so wonderful! I hated to see our vacation here end! We traveled with out 3 adult sons and their families! There were 8 adults and 4 children and each family had their own space for privacy and to spread out! We loved the big family area and fully stocked kitchen area! Loved the pool area and hot tub! Loved the easy access to beautiful beaches! Poipu itself is in a great location! Easy access to each side of the island! Dan could not have been more wonderful and helpful and made us feel like family! If you are looking for a wonderful place to stay! THIS IS IT!!!! Sep 2021We have stayed at many rental properties over the years, but this property stands out head and shoulders above the rest. There were 12 of us staying at the property, and we had a marvelous time. The quality of the house and garden (a tropical paradise) were just outstanding, and Dan (the owner, property manager and pool maintenance technician) was just the perfect host. I could not recommend this more as a top quality vacation rental, except to say that it made our 50th wedding anniversary celebrations complete. Thank you Dan.

We’ll stocked, comfortable but not too fussy, plenty of privacy for each couple, incredible pool and hot tub, lush landscaping. Dan and his family were accommodating but not intrusive. Sep 2021We had two families (12 of us)-all children in their 20’s. There were plenty of areas to hang out and not be on top of one another or feel cramped. Pool/hot tub was amazing. Close walk to beach and longer walk to Poipu beach where you can get a snack or have happy hour. Dan was an amazing host and was available for anything we needed. There were plenty of bathroom and cleaning/laundry supplies on hand which was very helpful. Two refrigerators were necessary and nice to have. The extra cabana house was great for our newlyweds.

The kitchen is well stocked with pots, pans, utensils and lots of spices. I would check the kitchen before you go out shopping for something. We loved the fact that that the Hyatt is next door and took advantage of their restaurants and spa. The pool at the house was a great place to relax. All in all, it was an amazing vacation and this lovely home played a big part in it. Thanks so much!

Dec 2022We had such a lovely time. The house is better than pictured! Close to wonderful beaches for swimming, snorkeling, body surfing and castle building. Great location for hikes and exploring the south end of the island. The house was well appointed with everything we needed to cook, relax and play at the beach or pool. We will definitely be coming back.

Oct 2021We had a large group 5 teenage girls 2, 9 year olds , 3 couples , a toddler and infant . Perfect and good separation of space . The teens occupied the terrace suite it was perfect for them . One downstairs room occupied by two 9 year olds was perfect and the other larger bedroom occupied by the family with toddler and infant gave them the space they needed. The bungalow gave a couple a great experience as it was their first time to the island .. actually all guests except 2 were first time visitors and this home made it so tropical! The pool is absolutely fabulous!! Large and deep which made it fun for everyone !
If you a chance to get on the calendar… don’t hesitate . With covid it took us two years to get to enjoy the home and before that I looked at renting this home but it was always booked !!

Dec 2021We had a great time at this property. Lots of room for our family of 11. We loved being able to walk to the beach. The kids loved being able to jump in the pool at all times of the day. So many lovely outdoor seating areas for everyone. Would highly recommend this property!

Aug 2022Was like staying at our own private spa. Such tranquility! Our large family had an amazing stay. Swam in the pool everyday. Used the hot tub. Cooked meals every night. Walked to Shipwreck Beach. Walked to Poipu Beach Park. Loved hiking the Manaulepo trail. Neighborhood is very peaceful and quiet. But house feels incredibly private. Dan was awesome! Very responsive and always available to answer questions. It’s clear the owners have put a lot of work into this house. Would 100% recommend!!!

Dec 2021This was a wonderful place to stay. As has been mentioned, the grounds are amazing and inspiring. Dan was very responsive/communicative ahead of and during our visit. The pool was outstanding. It was a very short drive to Poipu, with some of the best snorkeling I've experienced. Also, Shipwreck's beach was a short walk, and the swimming and underwater sea life there was fantastic too--though the ocean was a bit too rough there for the kids to play in. It was overall a refreshing and amazing vacation!

Feb 2020This was a special trip with a 45th anniversary, a 15th anniversary and 5 birthdays so we needed it to be special and this home filled that bill perfectly. Our whole immediate family was there from 66 to 7 years old and we all were well taken care of with the amenities that this home accommodated. The proximity to the ocean was phenomenal, activities around us were great and the time to sit by the backyard pool and hot tub and just enjoy the relaxation was great. A pleasant surprise was how well equipped the kitchen was with condiments and supplemental elements that we did not then have to buy. The same was for the pool and ocean items. Finally, the decorating and set up of the rooms gave everyone their own space and getaway when needed.
I would highly, highly recommend this property especially with the friendliness and responsiveness of the owners. All of our needs were taken care of including recommendations for everything island related. Mahalo for a great and never to be forgotten time!!!

Nothing was left to chance and he personally took care of things from the initial phone calls 2 years ago to bringing paper towels over during our stay.-- Very rare to get that kind of service. It is better than what you see in the listing-- For our family-- 4 sons and their wives and kids-- we could not have had a better place to stay on a wonderful island!!!

Dec 2022This was a family vacation to celebrate a 60th birthday. There was plenty of space for private time and together time. Fully equipped kitchen, comfy beds, beautiful yard/pool area. Conveniently located in sunny Poipu! 5 star all the way. Mahalo

Sep 2022This VRBO was simply OUTSTANDING and I and my party had a WONDERFUL time! The location, accommodations, pool, grill, fully stocked kitchen are all Outstanding! I could go on and on, but I will keep this short! All met and exceeded our expectations! Working with the owner, Dan was such a pleasure! We had a great experience and hope to return someday to this exquisite home on this most Beautiful Island! Thank you Dan and Lynette for providing us with such a wonderful retirement celebration vacation!!

Mar 2022This rental was stunning! Best VRBO we have stayed thus far. Great location, wonderful owners. We had two families of four along with a couple in the seperate bungalow. The property has plenty of room for everyone and you don't feel crowded. I would highly recommend to anyone visiting Kauai.Best. Trip. Ever
