Nov 2020Wonderful, cozy house with great space to relax out back and enjoy the beauty of the landscape. Wonderful surprise most mornings as we were visited by a couple of mule deer if the yard.

May 2021What a wonderful cottage. Easy access to Zion. Amazing collection of books on so many different subjects. And the owner's artwork decorating the walls. I could easily have stayed for 2 or 3 months and been entertained. So many local hikes, eateries, what more could you ask?

Jan 2022We’ve stayed in a lot of VRBO homes and this was hands-down our favorite ever! The pictures don’t do it justice- it’s incredibly cozy and comfortable, and the location (2 minute drive to Zion gate) was amazing. Jack was a fantastic host, he gave us great recommendations and was so responsive. And when my daughter left her stuffed bunny there, he shipped it to us right away. We will definitely be back!

Sep 2020We used the free shuttle to Zion visitors center both dats and location was great. We sat out back every evening and loved the view from every side. Everything seamless with check in, we had everything we needed, loved Springdale. The narrows hike was incredible!

Apr 2021We really enjoyed our stay. The cottage was clean, cozy,, and decorated with love and care. Only 1.5 miles or so from the park entrance. Close to many restaurants and a grocery store. Jack was super responsive and easy to communicate with.

Nov 2021We parked our car when we arrived but then rode our bikes everywhere after that. It’s a great location with easy access to restaurants, the national park, and shopping. We loved the outdoor seating areas in the evening. Great stargazing!

Sep 2020We had such a wonderful stay at Jack's cottage. The property is so peaceful and the photos don't even do it justice! The place was very cozy and clean - we wish we could have stayed longer. The location can't be beat and you can easily walk into town and can be in the park in just a few minutes. Thanks, Jack!

Apr 2021We had a wonderful time staying at the Rose Cottage, and Jack was a great host! Would definitely stay there again if we are in the area. The cottage is clean and had everything we needed for a weeks stay. It was very comfortable, and we spent evenings after our hikes in Zion on the totally cool back patio. We were able to walk to Zion (about a mile?) which was a big help because we did not have to find a place to park. Springdale itself is a great place with little shops and restaurants. We were able to enjoy eating outside as the weather was in the 70's. The Rose Cottage and Jack's hospitality made our vacation a very special one!

Jun 2020We had an amazing stay at the Rose Cottage. It offered several modern conveniences while maintaining the integrity of the historic "cottage" feel. The home was a relaxing place to return to after an active, warm day at Zion. The location is excellent, if visiting Zion, and the tips offered by the owner for navigating the park were an amazing bonus. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Oct 2021We enjoyed this beautiful cottage and it was perfectly comfortable for our family. Rose Cottage has a special yard with a fantastic view from the front. Located conveniently across from a shuttle stop and within walking distance to restaurants and shops. The Springdale shuttles were full, so we just walked to the park entrance. Our host, Jack, was very responsive and helpful, and his cottage is very clean.

Aug 2021We enjoyed our stay immensely. It was the perfect location - in walking distance to shops and restaurants, plus the bus into the park. Jack’s space was beautifully decorated and well appointed. My mother lost her earring stud down the bathroom sink drain and Jack saved the day by helping us get it out - coming out to help us later on a Sunday evening. A wonderful space and wonderful host! We highly recommend this cottage.

Jul 2021Very well thoughout home floorplan. Enjoyed the patio, too. Excellent location for our early morning hikes in Zion NP. Cozy home. Loved the nurturing soap. Only suggestion is to consider replacing the teflon pan ... We prefer using an iron skillet.

Jun 2020This historical property in the heart of Springdale is the perfect accommodation for a small family or couple! We loved the rustic designs in the courtyard and barbecue area out back. Kitchen was up to date with all upgraded appliances which was a plus! I would highly recommend this property to my staff and friends!

It was so nice to come home to the cottage after a day of hiking and touring - warm and cozy in a perfect location with all that you need. We loved the historical feel (yet everything is updated) and enjoyed reading many of the books in the living room as well as looking at the beautiful paintings of the park throughout the home. Hands down, we would stay here again and wish we could have stayed longer than the five days we were able to enjoy it! It was a pleasure communicating with Jack before and during out stay and check in/out was super easy. Thank you so much for making our stay so enjoyable!

Jul 2020This cottage has a beautiful setting in Springdale near the entrance of Zion and within walking distance of shops and restaurants. The cottage felt like coming home after a beautiful day of hiking. Jack was a very responsive host and we enjoyed our stay.

Aug 2021The Rose Cottage was an amazing find! Jack was great about helping us get in and settled with accommodations and info about Springdale. It’s a great place that’s close to everything, with enough space to let the family spread out a bit after days in the car, plus laundry to clean our hiking clothes! Incredibly convenient to the park, and walking distance to shops and food. The back yard was almost like a park itself, with spectacular views of the canyon. If we find ourselves back again, we’ll definitely stay here!

Sep 2021There is a reason that the Historic Rose Cottage has only five-star ratings because it is definitely five stars! We loved staying at this cottage away from all of the hustle and bustle of people on the trails. After a long day of hiking and being with a lot of people, we had this little piece of serenity to ourselves! We chose to use the grill and eat in the backyard. The backyard is like one of those I Spy books! Every time you look you see a different cool plant or statue. The cottage is absolutely stunning and decorated with tasteful eclectic furniture. Jack is a gracious host and communicates well, provides great information about Springdale and the parks, and is at the ready to answer any questions. Jack has thought of everything that you might need. Only one thing left for me to say! Book it Dano!

You go there and you are in the park. You are a part of it. You are immersed in it’s beauty. And at the end of each day that feeling of immersion when of hiking, climbing or biking through Zion’s beauty didn’t end when we returned to the Historic Rose Cottage. Instead it was enhanced as we thumbed through our photos and recalled the events of the day from the sanctuary of the backyard and it’s view of The Watchman at sunset.
The cottage is cozy. It’s clean. Great decoration. It has all things you need to enjoy that feeling of being at home. Best of all it’s location is perfect and Jack is a great host and a very nice guy.
We just got home yesterday and already want to go back!

Jul 2020The house and property are gorgeous and unique. My wife and two children and I stayed here on our trip to Zion National Park. The park is amazing as everyone knows, but my family wanted to extend our trip just so we could hang out at the Historic Rose Cottage more. We enjoyed spending our evenings on the patio, playing cards, games and talking about our day. The location is great. Plenty of restaurants and shops are within walking distance including Zion National Park entrance. We just got home and are already looking at the calendar to see when we can stay at the historic Rose Cottage again.
