Mar 2017We were in love!! Lovely view, comfortable interior (brand new). The Pool was pleasent tempered and very clean.We drove 15 minute to the beach"perfectly". Wish we had more time and will definitely be back ;-)

Mar 2021We loved the house. It was very clean, nicely decorated, well equipped, located in a quiet and nice neighborhood. Beautiful view on the lake, quiet and very relaxing. The pool was amazing. Kids had a ton of fun. The house is located close to church, stores, and of course the beach. Could not ask for more. Loved it! We will be back, for sure :)

May 2019We have spent 3 weeks in this beautifull house, which looks in real exactly like on the pictures, maybe even nicer:). Everything was clean, new, tastefully furnished, very comfortable beds, heated pool, but what is the best is the lake view. There is all equipment you need during your stay. The location is great too, especialy if you plan to discover it by walking, running or on bike. It is not crowded, there are two nature parks close to it and the street (River view Blvd.) itself is very nice to run/bike along. Shopings, beaches and all you need is not far neither. For us it was the best choise!

May 2022We had such an amazing time at this fantastic Rental. I can’t say enough nice things about this place. The house was super comfortable clean and inviting and tastefully decorated. The outdoor screened in sunroom was perfect. The inground pool was great. We really had a fantastic week! We will definitely come back to this same home next year! There’s no reason to look for another place.

Jul 2018We ended up visiting the beach and restaurant much less than we anticipated, as nobody really wanted to leave the house. Using the pool for endless hours and barbecuing almost every night was just perfect! Beds are all very comfortable, I think I fell in love with my sleep number bed and coming from the city, the view out back is worth a million dollars!

Apr 2022We decided on this property because there wasn’t anything available on Anna Maria that wasn’t either too small or too expensive. It took only 15 min or so to get to Anna Maria, where we could park on most side streets near either beaches, pier, or shops and restaurants. But it was sometimes hard to leave this beautiful VRBO! The house is spacious, clean and comfortable. And the back yard with its’s palm trees, privacy, seating and heated pool was amazing! Loved that the pool area was not covered so we could be truly outside in the sun enjoying the view! We even saw an otter one day! The use of the garage was a plus and they also had beach chairs, and beach toys and towels for us as well! This house is in a nice quieter neighborhood and has comfortable beds as well ( I’m pretty picky on beds being too hard and these were not). Besides being close to beautiful Anna Maria Island, this house is close to other inland restaurants, shops, and grocery stores. I want to move here! 😀🌴🏖❤️

Apr 2017We chose the area as it was centrally located between areas where family were staying so unfortunately didn't get to experience much of Bradenton itself so we have an excuse to go back and would definitely book this home again. Tennis courts nearby was an asset for our family. The house was extremely clean and well stocked. TV's were great considering we visited during March Madness. Very peaceful location and friendly neighbors.

Pool was wonderful! loved the extras prvded for the beach like chairs floats noodles, etc. Kitchen has literally all we needed. Bedrooms and bathrooms were very nice and so was the living space and linai..Short drive to everything we needed!!!..Highly recommend!!!!

Jul 2021This place was exactly as described, had a wonderful stay! Very clean and loved the little starter bag that was left for us. The pool was awesome! Beds were comfortable. It was close to everything and quiet neighborhood.. Having the garage was nice. I would definitely come back to this house.

Oct 2021This place was amazing. The house was perfect very well laid out and had good quality products for cooking. When we needed some help with some kitchen equipment in the rental place the rental owner was very understanding and sent help out to fix the issue.
The neighborhood was amazing and the backyard was great to chill in and we saw a ton of wildlife (Ospreys, Egrets, Herons, River Otters and more).
The Rental was also understanding and helpful when I got our last date wrong and were able to help me add an additional day down.
Me and my friends highly recommend this place you can't go wrong staying here.

Aug 2019This is the first time I've ever booked a vrbo and this one did NOT disappoint!! The place was beautiful and I loved the decor!! So peaceful outback to sit and enjoy each morning and night after doing activities during the day! The welcome package they leave for you was great too!

Oct 2018This home truly is a lakeside retreat for any family and was just perfect for us. We've never stayed at a home with a salt water pool and moving forward we will try to book a home with a salt water pool, if possible. The water is so much softer, barely tastes anything like salt and our 2 kids never wanted to get out unless they were hungry or ready to go to Disneyworld. Management was super helpful and very nice.

May 2022The home was very well kept and made us feel right at home. The pool sits in the backyard overlooking the lake which was a beautiful place to sit and relax as my children swam in the pool. Property management was quick to respond with any questions. Quiet neighborhood. Would love to rent again!

Jun 2021The garbage had not been taken out in awhile and there were maggots crawling all over. The recycle was full of garbage that was not recyclable. The air conditioning filter was filthy and the floors not very covid clean

Mar 2017Staying at Lakesde Retreat couldn't be more perfect. With the serenity of the lakeside view, perfect pool and patio and with the beach so close by, it's the best of both worlds-- lake view and beach. That's just the beginning. The home is so comfortable and every comfort is provided and then some. It's professionally decorated in a tasteful coastal chic style. Adding to the comfort is every convenience--and then some. The owner thought of everything and then added extra measures of care-- like Sleep Number beds and extra large tvs with great sound. The kitchen is fully equipped and and has all the cooking conveniences you could need for a short or long stay. You can tell that the owner really cares about his home and your enjoyment. Management is super accommodating if there's ever a question or need of any kind. The location is perfect too. It's close to every convenience, nature preserves, walking and biking trails, downtown Bradenton and, of course, the beach. I enjoy all these things and short trips to downtown Sarasota with its arts and cultural offerings. Staying at Lakeside Retreat is a perfect vacation -- year round. I loved it and I'll be back. Thank you Island Dreams for making my stay so special.

Ideal location to relax, visit local places, eat at great places.
The pool, overlooking the pond was just the icing on the cake.

but always room for improvement, if i owned the home, there is a few minor things i would update... like bathroom and kitchen light fixtures... the screened in porch ceiling and door

Overlooking the lake from the pool and covered lanai, gave us great views and interactions with some wildlife like frogs, turtles, osprey, herons, ducks, etc.
This house was located in a quiet neighborhood away from the hustle and bustle but was just a few minutes from the grocery store and restaurants and 10-15 minutes from the beaches on Anna Maria Island. We also did a few hikes in the local nature preserves.
We really liked having the kitchen and laundry in-house to save money from eating out all the time and being able to have fresh clean clothes on our trip.
The photos of this listing seemed accurate, and we were very pleased upon arrival. There seem to be lots of pool and beach toys left in the house that weren't mentioned in the listing. There are lots of other baby accessories in the house, but we didn't need those for our family.
The homeowner and realty company were very responsive and handled anything that came up right away. Great communication!
10/10 - would recommend! We would definitely stay here again or wouldn't hesitate to rent from this host in the future.

Dec 2018My wife and I are regular travellers and renters and we also know this area quite well. When renting 'blind' and only having photos to sway your decision sometimes means that teh reality does not live up to images suggested.
This home has everything needed to make a comfortable and relaxed stay with no worries or concerns. we are happy to say that this home matches and exceeds expectation and was a joy to stay in. The furniture and fittings are not unitarian but are not too disimilar to what you may have at home not as is sometimes the case with rental homes when cheap and uncomfortable fixtures and fittings are used.
Every thing works as it should and Alex is always available to help if needed.
Judge a rental on how it compares to home bearing in mind it is a rental and more importantly, would you rent this home again.
