Stayed here last weekend in September with 3 friends for a White River trout fishing trip. The house was great - exceptionally well stocked kitchen with everything you would need. The hosts were extremely helpful and thoughtful. The river view and access are great- you can wade fish right there if you want. Very good experience overall- we plan to stay there again next year !

This home is so clean and comfortable. We enjoyed fishing in the river and just relaxing on the deck. The hosts were so amazing. They were in touch right from the start. They had a snack basket and fresh flowers to welcome us. The kitchen was well stocked. There was even milk eggs and oj, so if you get in late, it would be easy to put a meal together. We have stayed in many homes all over the county, and these folks were the best hosts we’ve ever encountered. We particularly enjoyed the wide variety of birds that came to the feeders. We will definitely be back.

My husband and dad had a great time fishing on the river again this year. Mom and me enjoyed relaxing on the deck overlooking the beautiful river and scenery. We stayed last October and fell in love with this piece of heaven. Outstanding job of making us feel welcomed with a bouquet of flowers and a gift basket of goodies. You had thought of everything to make our vacation week so nice.

We took a short drive to Cotter and drop the Younger adults off for a kayak trip back to the cabin.
Eagles, deer, Blue herring, groundhog, we saw a lot of God Beautiful creatures and nature.
A storm blew through and took out a tree. This just made it more memorable and exciting. Yes will be back!

The pictures do not do the cabin justice. Spotless, comfortable and with every single thing you could possibly need, this cabin and the stay exceeded our expectations. It is both modern and rustic at the same time. Our party of 5 ranged from 15-80. There was something for everyone.
We sat by the river and enjoyed the cool breeze, watched birds and wildlife and even fished. While the cabin is private, the drive there is beautiful and nothing is that far away.
But the best thing was the communication and how wonderful the host were. From the handwritten note, to the basket of goodies including treats for the puppies, to the flowers on the counter, everything made you feel welcome. We will be back again!

The ouse is extremely well stocked. The owner says all you need to bring is your food and they are right. Everything you need is there, inside and outside. The lawn down to the river is well manicured making it easy to walk down to the water with a chair and enjoy nature at its finest.

What a dream! Walk out the front door and fly fish on the White River
Three generations of men fished every day in the White River for Thanksgiving week! Chris and Margo had a welcome basket FULL of goodies waiting on us with a personalized note, and they also had basic food waiting on us in the fridge. The house is secluded, very private and safe, and the neighbors are few and quiet. It was easy to get to and Chris was accessible and accommodating- a true gentleman. The home is so cozy and felt like home immediately. We enjoyed looking at all the trout decor and treasures all week. This home really is RIGHT ON THE RIVER....every morning you walk right up to the windows in the dining room and see the whole river, birds soaring and the fog rising off the water. WOW! We caught lots of trout on rods and the men also did some fly fishing. There is a boat launch right by the house and other ones very close. We road our bikes down the paths lined with gorgeous trees, we fished, we had a bonfire almost every night, we drank wine at sunset on the porch and coffee in the mornings. Eagles soared over the guys fishing right in front of the house. The towns of Gassville, Mountain Home, and Cotter are all very close. Call Dally's Fly Fishing shop-they can help you with darn near anything. Also make sure to visit Duane Hada's Rivertown Gallery to find acrylics and watercolors of the White River and other local nature. We have traveled all over the United States and this was one of our favorite family adventures! If you have to use the Wifi they have it....but I suggest staying outside. We will return!

This place was the perfect getaway for our family. It was magical in its own way. Very quite place. The river in the back yard was perfect. We brought our canoe and was able to take it up the river and float back while fishing. Bringing the chairs down by the bank and enjoying a good book. We all needed to unwind, and this was the perfect place for that. The house was super cozy, and fit all our needs. The host were the best, so easy to contact if needed. They have thought of everything. We will be making this a yearly thing for sure.

We loved our stay. It was all we could ask for. The kitchen was fully stocked anything you wanted including an Insta Pot (which I used). Really nice pots and pans and a induction cook top. Which I had never used before. Loved have one ordered for my kitchen smile ☺. Also ordered the same pots and pans they had. They worked great! If your a cook you will love it!
The fishing was great! right off the shoals by the cabin. We caught and released sooo many!!Mostly rainbows and a couple of browns.There is a local ground hog that comes up on the bank every morning. We saw eagles and enjoyed the peacefulness. It is very quite there.
Fires in the evening inside and out were fantastic. We brought our own wood but the owners did supply one time wood for the outdoor fireplace.
This is our 4th visit to the cabin.It now has new owners and they have made so many nice improvements! The porch is fantastic with glass panels all the way around the railing that allows you to veiw the whole river when sitting on the porch. Very nice!
Internet works great! Cellular not so much so we used wifi calling which worked great! There is a land line as well.
It is a gated community but not crowded at all actually semi private!! We felt safe at all times.I highly recommend. The location the house, everything is fantastic! We loved and will be back!
Chris was always quick to answer any questions you might have.We had fresh flowers and a basket of snacks awaiting us on our entry! Orange Juice and Small Milk in the fridge and the condiments you need. And a share pantry that had everything from flour, sugar, coffee etc Exceptional hosts!

When I was growing up, my grandparents has a camp on lake. Our Mountain Home stay, felt like going home to my family camp. It was very comfortable, clean and everything you needed was there for your use. Even the kitchen knives were sharp.
We have a great time and are looking forward to returning again.

We had such a fun time staying on the river in this property! The porch was amazing to sit on in the mornings to watch the fog on the river. Our family had a great time playing games at the dining room table surrounded by windows! The house was perfect and had everything we needed and much more!

what can i say or just how to some it up, i first saw this listing and fell for it, but then again , most times ur not getting what u see online, NOT HERE, meaning the place was more and more , than i had seen, im a pretty tuff 60yr retired Army guy so im looking around and honestly i found zero, this place and owners opened up their 2 nd home for us, take my word and that God built, u bring ur clothes and fishing rods and what food and drinks u like but even with that theres so much they provide , we will be back in September and we will book next week, every picture u see online is everything u will see and more when u arrive, boy i coud go on and on, but if u cant see or undersand what i mean then let me some it up simple way, lots of places to stay but if u want the best then look no further , just click book it when u find the days that are avaidable , thks again
