I loved the grounds, beautiful plants and gardens.
Was a bit noisy from Poipu Road.

The property and location is great. The rooms are quite dated, and I wish there was a pool on the property.

The property is in the dryest part of Kauai so chances of sunshine good. Winds kick up in Jan and Feb so be aware. Able to cross street to shopping, dining and convenience store. Beach access is good and surfing classes on property. Uber is unpredictable so get a rental car if staying here. Lots of things are drivable around the area.

We loved everything about the Kiahuna Plantation. Our room was large and we had gorgeous views of the ocean from our 2nd story lanai (porch). The kitchen was well appointed and had everything we needed to cook breakfast and dinner daily. The bathroom was also large and the shower was comfortable. We sat out on the lanai for breakfast every morning and watched the tropical birds. The grounds were impeccably maintained and it felt like being in a botanical garden just to walk around the property. It was a 2-minute walk to the beach, and less than 10 minutes walking to Poipu beach to see the seals, sea turtles, and amazing snorkeling. I would recommend this resort highly to couples and families. Thank you to the very friendly staff as well.

We arrived in midnight for checking in and emailed the property for late arrival before arrival. A man was waiting for us and guided us for checking in and also led us our room.That is big help given the property is large and was very dark in the midnight. Appreciate the man; Otherwise, we might have been struggling for a while to find the right place.

Depending on APT location, we booked room with ocean view. Actually we could not see ocean but could see trees close to ocean. Thus please make sure you are going to get rooms ocean view when you are booking.
We stayed two weeks. The property does not change any beddings and towels et al. There is a charge for delivery items to room.
Bed and sofa are VERY VERY old and dirty! Also make noise and very very soft - Truly uncomfortable and ugly!

My husband and I loved staying at the Castle Kiahuna Plantation & Beach Bungalows. We would definitely recommend it and stay here again. The location is perfect, just by Poipu Beach and literally on the sand. The sunsets over there are just magical. The room is a a little bit dated, but that was not an issues for us because everything was super clean and tidy. Our room had a kitchen with everything we needed (appliances, pans, utensils, etc). The pool/restaurant/bar is located across the street at the Poipu Beach Athletic Club (not really inside the hotel complex), but that was made clear when we made our reservation and we knew what to expect. The Poipu Beach Athletic Club is actually pretty fun and super close. There are several stores, restaurant and groceries nearby (either long distance or short drive).

Loved it. They had everything we needed. Love having a blender ,dishes , garbage bags, sponges, soap , toilet paper, dish towels and more! We loved it and will stay again

The grounds were beautiful and very well kept. The inside of the condo needs some updating. Two of the outlets didn’t work. The microwave didn’t work. The air only reaches a few feet from where it’s blowing. It would have been nice to have some spices and condiments available. Overall I didn’t let it ruin my stay, but an updated condo would have made the stay better.

Had three rooms. Pretty much all the same but one did not have air conditioning. Sixth time we have stayed there. Will stay there again. I’ll just ask for AC units next time. Excellent access to beach.

I didn't like chickens crowing starting at 4 am, but they seem to be everywhere on Kauai. Both cards to the condo failed at the same time when returning the condo on the last night of our stay. It took 20 minutes on the phone and another 10 - 15 minutes at the front desk to get the issue resolved. but overall I will likely stay there is the future.

A beautiful property with many flowering plants. Right on the beach where you can see turtles, seals, and many types of fish. Very helpful staff. And of course, excellent weather.

Outdated apartment - it was not cleaned properly when we arrived. The kitchen cabinets and appliances were old, and the bathroom was old with dirty walls. On a positive note, the area outside was nicely maintained with a short walk to the beach.

Great bargain for the price! The condo was beautiful and close to beach and had a great gym and pool available!!

Property was just okay. Wifi was very good so was the laundry facility. Not much personal service. Notice that bathroom was not very clean. Found hair on the ground that was not mine or my wife's.

The room was disgusting and dated. The shower had hair that was not cleaned from the last visitor and the bathroom countertop had bugs all over it.
We stayed two nights and were charged a HUGE “cleaning fee” upfront which is crazy because the place was so gross.
This is not a resort and there is no pool at the beaches.

Beach access is good but far from unit I got. I understand what a garden view means but the unit I got had blocked view. I would be less disappointing if you explain to the customer what they are purchasing.

Seemed a bit spendy for the upgrade but at least we didn’t feel like we were kids in a timeout any more. There is no AC in most of these units, I wish we had known this. Dishes weren’t clean, we had to rewash them before using them and the floors were sticky and gross. We also saw cockroaches in our unit but no traps. We did talk to them about the cleanliness and they were very friendly and refunded the cleaning fee. Overall it was a cute place but we wouldn’t stay there again.

The location of Castle Kiahuna was great. We were upgraded to Beach Front from Ocean view which was fantastic. The resort however is a bit dated and could use some updating.
