The room was very convenient to lots of things in the CBD making it easy to walk around. It was clean and comfortable and larger than what we thought looking at it on line

There was limited parking so we were not able to get a secure spot and had to park across the street under a shopping center. This wouldn’t be an issue but we arrived after a long day of driving and the center is closed from 10pm on once we parked the car we were basically only able to walk around trying to find late night food.

The bed wasn’t comfortable, especially when I have fractured my back a year ago. The curtains are dragging on the floor and need to be hemmed. Doesn’t look nice and it’s catching all the dirt. Maybe work on better car parking too

Room was not properly organised, when I reached there. Moreover, there were no face tissues in the bathroom. Also, bathroom was not properly cleaned.

Very comfortable nice place to stay while travelling through to Qld. Staff were lovely food was great.

I would like to express my sincere gratitude for the unexpected gesture upon my arrival at the hotel. The exceptional service I received left a lasting impression, and I feel compelled to extend my thanks. Regrettably, I am unaware of the individual's name who provided such exemplary assistance, but their presence was invaluable to us.

No problems - except for a power cut which wasn't the hotel's fault!

The location is central but the noise from nightclubs nearby was dreadful on both Friday and Saturday night. I had to ask to be moved as it could not be blocked out.

As above plus building noise on each morning was very annoying.

The location was good. Close to amenities. There’s a large building being erected next door and they start at 7.00 on the dot. The hotel is a bit dated but it’s clean and the beds are very comfortable. There’s free parking in the hotel grounds . The staff are lovely.

There was a brown crusty stain on the carpet near the bed. We were woken up by housekeeping at 9am as they thought we had already checked out even though check out is 11am.

Staff were lovely, checking in and out was very quick and easy, and the room was cleaned each day, with towels replaced once used and hung on the hooks. The rooms had all that you need, including a kettle, microwave and mini fridge for cooking, and plates and cutlery were provided. The fridge was also stocked with small cartons of long life milk, which I appreciated for tea making. The bed was comfortable and clean, though the pillows seemed a little old and were very hard. I paid for breakfast, and they had a good selection of hot foods, cereals, fruits and pastries.

The hotel is right beside a very loud construction site that commenced work at 7 each day and made it virtually impossible to continue sleeping. This was in addition to the construction work taking place within the hotel itself. I worked late nights during my trip, and had a very hard time getting enough sleep. The cleaning was passable, though strange. The bed was completely remade with new sheets each day even though it had only been slept in once, and the staff seemed to completely miss the things that actually needed cleaning. For example, dust on the headboard. Oddly, there was also a fair bit of hair on the walls of the bathroom, which was never cleaned throughout my entire week-long stay. Likewise, the mirrors were never cleaned, and though cutlery and plates were wiped down, they were poorly cleaned before being placed back into the cabinets. The hotel screamed to me of being severely understaffed, that or there is something lacking in training. The shower/bath was absurdly slippery, and there was no rubber mat provided despite a sign on the wall advising its use. It made showering a stressful experience. The view from the hotel also leaves something to be desired, looking over an active construction site and into the back carpark of some little business.

The room was comfortable and the Motel was central to where we had to be next morning.

The location was great for getting around town on foot rather than me using my car all the time. The room was very clean and comfortable.

The shower is over the bath which i found difficult to manage.

one of the reasons we stayed at Mecure Newcastle was the fact the hotel had a gym. sadly the spin bike (and the treadmill ) was not working. I notified reception and was told maintenance would look at this, but nothing changed. this interrupted a training program that i am currently doing.

stayed on a Saturday night right next door to king st hotel. nightclub music so loud until 3am do not recommend for any night that the nightclub is open

The location was perfect. Great that it was close to the light rail. Enjoyed the bar and meals.

A map of the city would have been helpful. Information on nearby places of interest too

Good location accept didn’t realise there was a night club across the street that would pump loud music until late. (It was a Saturday night so that was our fault) Parking was convenient and easy to access. Comfortable bed.

The bathroom, it is needing a revamp and a good clean, quite dirty and a bit smelly with dust everywhere.

The room was clean, bed was comfy, tv was easily accessible and I appreciated the fact that there was some crockery & cutlery at the ready. I loved the popcorn 🍿 machine in the lobby! The breaky buffet included with the room was very decently priced as a package and it was a great buffet selection 😋 very tasty.

Room was nice and clean, comfy beds, quiet, great location. Only thing I would suggest is bathrooms might be due for an upgrade or re-tiling .

There was hair all through the bathroom, there was some sort of pills left on the floor, place was dusty
