Perfect location

Too noisy and bright, needs blockout curtains in bedroom

The receptionist who checked us in was really nice, he made us feel welcomed. The receptionist who helped me on the phone with a booking error was also great and very helpful. Nice apartment, has all facilities.

The elevator is scary, it clunks and jumps about while inside. We also had to wait 4 minutes for it to reach the top floor, it’s only a 5 floor building. It broke down and trapped someone inside for 45 minutes, they had to wait for maintenance. We were also accused of ‘being naughty’ by a staff member in the elevator while checking out, she said another apartment 2 floors down from us made a noise complaint. We were only at the apartment for 30 minutes to eat before we left to a concert (which was before quiet hours) and then we returned later to sleep. The staff were friendly until this point and I feel this was only assumed because we were a young group.

location was great and the size of the rooms were very good. I worked from the apartment and the facilities were good for that. I felt it was good value for money

The apartment could use some maintenance. All of the taps were impossible to turn off and it is all a little bit run down, however I would stay there again.

Needs updating,walls needed a paint,curtains were ripped,bathroom needs updated,bath very worn.Need cleaning behind bedside tables.Wifi didn’t work.Lifts broken.

The room was big and in the best location. had everything we required for our stay. The lift was out of action and i got a call the day before to advise and asked if i was ok going up 1 flight of stairs. I was and they kindly upgraded us. we have booked a 2 bedroom 1 bathroom they upgraded us to a 2 bed 2 bathroom.

Bed and pillows uncomfortable. More particularly the pillows were extremely uncomfortable. The room was a little outdated and the sheer curtains in the lounge area were not clean at all. the carpet was badly stained and had bleach marks on the bedroom carpet.

location is great! Also, the staff was friendly and communication via booking.com was perfect

I had an apt in the basement and I was not informed that there are no windows at all. Windows were visible on pics so that was a bit misleading.

Great location, right next to Hosier Lane and great restaurants of Flinders Lane

The basement apartment is terrible. When booking it does tell you there is no window outlook which we were completely fine with for a night but it is so noisey. Terrible noise from above the apartment and guests coming and going the lift etc but worst of all, it’s right next to the staff entrance for a restaurant. So the constant banging of the door as staff cane in and our, put rubbish out in the bins etc went on late into the night. There is also a sensor light presumably for the restaurant staff that switched on and lit up the whole apartment each time someone went outside. Whilst there is no clear window, there are glass blocks that allow the light in. One bedroom door wasn’t solid and had panes of glass so the light could not be blocked. Finally it stinks as soon as you walk from the foyer to get down to the basement rooms. $200 security hold on the CC takes weeks to be un held which makes no sense when all other hotels either release immediately or take so much less as a security. They blame the banks Overall a terrible nights sleep and disappointing experience. It’s a shame as the location is perfect. I’ve stayed up higher in the building and had a better experience but it was before the restaurant opened so can imagine the restaurant issue would be a problem if you were in an apartment above the laneway the exit was located.
