This was a PHENOMENAL experience!! The property is located on the banks of the Zambezi River in a spectacular and remote location. We had to get to the property by 30-minute boat ride down an incredibly beautiful segment of the river. The property is eco-oriented and the chalets are all river facing and beautifully anointed. The staff are wonderful and the food was fabulous. The sundowner was very much worthwhile. This is a place for birders and for those who are interested in seeing the Carmine bee eaters (but on ly for a very short window).

Google had an extremely difficult time finding the road to the property, likely due to some changes in the roads since it was last updated. We persisted and were rewarded accordingly.

Lovely lodge, spotlessly clean, good food and friendly staff. Excellent area for birding. Thank you Rulinda for everything and for all your help with our onward journey.

Setting, amenities, layout really great

Great loation with informed staff. Highight was going to see the Carmine Bee-eaters downriver. Pretty much all inclusive wrt activities, meals, etc.

this is one of the most amazing lodges

it was an experience to travel by boat to the lodge so be prepared to stop at the camp and travel 15min by boat to the lodge - it was challenging if other activities are booked to start at 6am

The setting on the Zambezi river is amazing Great pool to lounge at while viewing the river Good breakfast and dinner Luxurious cabins with perfect river view

Dinner has to be paid additionally Lots of mosquitoes at night (March - rain season)

Overall friendly and supportive team at Mubala - also fixing issues with Gondwana. Thank you for your hospitality. Nice spot.

The payment operation with Gondwana was terrible. Communication with Gondwana was impossible. Mails haven‘t been answered also after sending several reminders and request. I do not recoomend to pay anything upfront before arrival - instead pay everything onsite after the stay.
