Very clean. Also, as someone who is 6'6" I appreciate the California King mattress! First time in forever that my feet didn't hang off the end! Also, love the big screen TV (probably 65"), and the always fresh, free coffee in the lobby.
Honestly, I have nothing add -- it was a great experience, and the hotel staff was great. I have absolutely nothing to complain about! I would highly recommend the Avid to friends who are looking for a great place to stay.

Easy check-in with pleasant staff.
The room had little space to move around. The mini fridge was not cold.

The location was a little farther from Madison than I thought, but that's my fault for underestimating the distance.

I've stayed here before and the staff is always friendly. The room is pretty basic but has the essentials I need, and the grab and go breakfast is convenient. I work remote and I've never had a problem working from the room or taking video meetings. I recommend checking out the next door True Coffee Roasters and Forage Kitchen.
There was maintenance on the AC unit one of the days I stayed there, which is fine but they didn't give me notice until the night before.
I was able to figure out a good time to take my dog on a walk while they did my room, but I'd suggest giving people more of a heads up about things like this.

My granddaughter wanted a hot breakfast and was sure the coffee would not be up to her standards although she didnt try it. I think i could have been satisfied with the breakfast if there was a toaster for the bagel? Good value and everything we needed for her college visit at UW.

the ac/heater get blowing cold when it reached the top level then did heat after it dropped a couple. no way to say only heat or only cool

We liked the cleanliness of the hotel room and the comfortable bed and bedding. Unfortunately we didn't have the opportunity to have the breakfast that was included but looking forward to the next visit to try.
We did get woken up by cleaning staff knocking on the door well before the checkout time. Being that it was our first time there we missed putting the do not disturb magnet on the door. We didn't notice where it was located.

Extremely clean and nice modern looking. The lovby has working space, which is so thoughtful. The bed was comfortable. The breakfast was so convenient with the grab and go thing, yet offered many options for guests. The chrome cast was super easy and convenient to use. I was watching netflix and hbo max all night! Wifi was fast and TV was in good size too! Location was perfect. Bars and restaurants in walking distance, and an ice skate rink too! I took advantage of all of those!
The room is a bit small but didn’t make me feel uncomfortable though. Just wish it could have been bigger. And also wish the price is a bit lower. Even though everything was magnificent, I still feel like I paid a lot for my stay.
