The hotel had character, the beds were huge and very comfy.

No pool

Very centrally located in Suzhou, you can walk right out and there are lots of shops and restaurants. The hotel were very accommodating and we could check in straight away when we arrived. There is a complimentary shuttle bus from the hotel to a few tourist sights and Suzhou Railway station which they helped us to book. Breakfast was great- had a huge variety of Chinese and Western foods. The room was comfortable and was easy to relax with great facilities that you needed.

The staff could speak English but sometimes when we asked for recommendations of restaurants they weren't able to give suggestions.

Staff is friendly and helpful. Convenient location.

This is my fourth time there and it's starting to get a bit run down. Smelled/felt damp throughout and saw a cockroach at breakfast! Food was stale and felt like the previous days. Used to be fantastic, needs some up keep.

The location and the interior of the hotel

The hotel driver failed to pick me from the railway station. I supposed to get the free pick up service and could not get. They told I was in a wrong station, but I was right only and waited till long at a station and later came back by a private taxi and paid myself. Anyways no problem if it is not intentional. Too err is human.
