Ideal location for Business trip. Very comfortable and friendly staff

Great hotel, however food menu and breakfast is limited.

Fantastic swimming pool and view, but pool was very cold and restrictive for use. Service was mixed particularly at dinner. Food was ok but overpriced.

The front desk should change foreign currency. The hotel had a pretty view,

Hotel pretends to be 4*, standard rooms are however 2*, pool 4* so maybe average can climb up to 3*. Rooms are waiting to be updated, and for 2 decades now. Airport shuttle is most useful as a taxi costs 25-30e, however take into account that the shuttle runs only 9AM-5PM.

We only stayed one night to get to the airport early the next morning, without too much traffic. The location is great with a view over the city to the distant sea, but there are no restaurants or shops around. So we had dinner at the hotel, next to the pool area, which was okay, nothing too exciting. We had a premium room on the top floor with a great view, massive bathroom (shower over bath) and the room was of a reasonable size, too. Would stay there again.

Great hotel, great staff with a really nice view. Wifi was disappointing as well as lack of minibar. All good otherwise.

Important to note that free airport shuttle is only available from 9 to 5 but there are daytime shuttles to town. I needed to insist on having them take us to the airport to catch our flight which was outside of this time frame based on the information on Expedia's website of free airport shuttle.

We were staying just one night and despite not being full we were put into the smallest, smelliest room in the hotel. The room smelt of aftershave and clearly someone had been smoking in there, although it was a non smoking room. The bathroom was in DIRE need of a refurbishment.....plug for bath detached and didn't fit, panel wonky, shower screen rubber hanging off.....shall I continue? The room was cramped and had a view of a car park which was very very disappointing as the location was the main reason we booked here. What was worst was the attitude of the staff on the desk, one of which seemed more interested in her smartphone.....which shows a real lack of interest in service, and her manager clearly was indifferent to her behaviour. I didn't complain as we arrived late and had an early morning flight. I have stayed at Mecure many times so have high expectations, hence the review.....and will be placing a similar one on Tripadvisor shortly, although I will wait to hear your response as I would like the payment refunded as I feel so strongly about being let down.

Though the Mercure Creolia is darn hard to get to (get yourself a good map) up in the hills above St. Denis, it’s got lovely views, decent rooms, and good service. It’s more along the lines of a European three-star hotel than a ****, but it has a very nice restaurant and that counts for something, even if the room wasn’t anything special and the internet was incredibly slow in the evening. It’s not a hotel to get particularly excited about, but Reunion doesn’t have Mauritius’s cavalcade of luxury resorts anyway. Plus the price was very decent for the July night I spent there, and being only 5 minutes from St. Denis and 15 from the airport was quite nice. All things considered, the Hotel Mercure is a solid option. Nothing to rhapsodize about, but quite decent as far as Reunion options go.

The hotel in beautifully situated on the heights of Saint Denis, the view from the pool is terrific. The breakfast buffet is impressive. My single complaint : it is relatively difficult to drive to the hotel, an improvement of the direction signs would be helpfull

The pool is really nice and they have a convenient shuttle service to/from the airport and the town that's free. Our room was okay, nothing spectacular. There are no pales to eat around except the hotel restaurant which is not cheap but the food is good.

The room was very small and no Spa in Hotel for the same price here in Mauritius we could have much better

The friendly staff and the great view make this a good place to stay. The room was very comfortable, though not spacious. Breakfast (extra charge) was adequate, but not spectacular. It's a little hard to find up the windy streets, but there is signage once you get into the area. Parking can be a little scarce, especially if a meeting or other program occurring, but street parking nearby.

We enjoyed our short stay at this hotel as staff were friendly and helpful, hotel has beautiful views, large sized swimming pool and well priced buffet breakfast. recommended.

I booked a last minute discounted room for a one night visit. Hotel all ok and saff helpful. Why then - given the hotel was less than 50% full to stick me in a back room facing the carpark. I was not expecting a fantastic room and it was discounted however it does not nake me wish to return to a Mercure? It would not have been difficult to choose a nicer room - many many available and make a fuss of it to seek return custom. What did they have to lose? Instead its put me off Mercure Chain
