Very comfortable. Room was spacious and fairly modern. Staff were friendly and the food was good.

Hotel was modern with a good infrastructure and food but the rooms were not that good. Dark, stuffy and hot with poor ac. We stayed twice and the second time had a suite with 2 ACs and one didn’t work. Plus South Africa has timed power outages and we lost power and even water for a couple hours. I guess their generator is not sufficient.
Shuttle is convenient for airport. Staff and service was nice.

The room was clean and the view from the window was nice. The air conditioner was noisy comparing to other airport hotels, so it was uncomfortable to sleep. The staff was friendly, but the response from the reception and facilities management was insufficient. The hotel manager already replied me of my review on google, so I don't want to mention it here again.

I had arrived at the hotel late at night at 10:30 pm after a long flight of 12 hours. Initial check in was very slow and thereafter the room (room no. 808) which I got had issues with the AC cooling. The AC was throwing hot air instead of cold. My intercom phone in the room was not working so I called up reception by my cell phone and asked them to sort out the AC problem. They sent an technician who checked and told that the AC is beyond repair and that he would ask reception to change my room. In all this chaos it was already 11:30 pm. I had to check out early in the morning at 4 am since I had a flight to catch at 6 am. Even until 12 am I received no response from reception on the change of room. All night I could not sleep since the AC was not working and the room temperature actually was warm.
This was very unprofessional from the Hotel staff and personally I will surely think twice before booking this hotel for my stay.

Everything was perfect…the only suggestion is to up the WiFi to the rooms. It was great in dining and common areas, but weak in my room on the 5th floor when I was trying to work.

The Indian guy at reception was super helpful. We had received a parcel and he kindly kept it in the fridge for us until our departing flight. Hotel was great, the only issue is that it is a bit far from the airport.

It was good but we were actually in transit, my husband got bitten by bed bugs please sanitize or clean the mattresses.
The Chef cooked a good meal for us and he was very friendly.
Check in and check out was so easy.

THE PROPERTY WAS OK. THE SPA NEVER RETURNED MY EMAIL REQUEST FOR AN APPOINTMENT. WHEN I SHOWED THEY SAID THE SYSTEM WAS SLOW AND THEY WOULD CALL ME BAC. 4 HOURS LATER NO CALL, SO I VISIT AND THEY WERE FULL OF EXCUSES. THE CLEANING LADY DID NOT CHANGE THE BEDDING AS A RESULT MY GIRLFRIEND CAME TO VISIT, SAW THE STAIN AND ACCUSED ME OF CHEATING. NOW SHE I NO LONGER HAVE A GIRLFRIEND BECAUSE OF THEIR NEGLIGENCE. THE MANAGER SAID HE WAS GOING TO LOOK INTO IT AND REVERT BACK. HE SAW ME 3 TIMES AND NEVER SAID ANYTHING. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. I FLEW IN FROM THE USA TO SPEND VACATION WITH MY GIRLFRIEND AND THIS IS WHAT HAPPENS. THEY DIDN'T OFFER AN UPGRADE, REDUCE PRICE NOTHING!!!

A beautiful hotel, very clean with helpful staff. My only issue is for a suite they did not provide the bedroom slippers or gown as advertized, so there was really not much point in booking the suite I may as well have booked a standard room.

Asked for a room not on the main floor in my booking, got a main floor corner room when i arrived with an absolutely tiny window. Tv didnt work.

The hotel was fine, but with the power outages, the A/C wasn't always working. The bed was comfortable. The spa was a nice surprise. I had an excellent scrub and pedicure. The restaurant was below par: fish and chips seemed like it had been microwaved. Someone broke a lot of glasses and the staff took ages to clear it up. There is no shuttle before 5 am. This is a problem for those with early flights.

Room (8th floor) was warm and the airco did not work. There was no water, so big problems with the toilet and to take a shower! All just before you have to leave for an 11 hour flight, very annoying

Most staff were excellent and professional. Tried to make long distance phone call and had problems. Referred to maintenance by reception. Maintenance came by said no reception can help u? Didnt get call made.
Need bigger better TV. Room is huge, could make use of some decor or better use of empty space. Poor lighting. Light switches were confusing to operate. Excellent staff in bar and dining room.

I was very impressed with the friendliness and accommodating manner of the staff at this hotel. It is also a big plus to have the free shuttle service which runs every half hour. This is a perfect hotel for people only staying one night in order to be close to the airport.

Curtains could not draw all the way so light bothered us throughout the night.
Room was spacious and comfortable.I just found it strange that there was no flat sheet on the bed, only a fitted and then a duvet and cover.

We use this hotel every time we come to Jo’Burg and always enjoy our stays and the friendly staff that still recognise us. We are returning next we after 7 days in Umhlanga before flying back to the UK, room 436 would be greatly appreciated.

Blacks are assigned bottom floor rooms only. Heat did not work four rooms checked to find one that worked. Whites are assigned 5 th floor and help with their baggage. Buffet food had been out for many hours. Many dishes were dried out and tough to chew. No other options similar to USMC chow hall. Pay a little more and the hotel next door has excellent food.😠💩

The staff were absolutely amazing! Such friendly people and the food was great! The room was nice and big but I had to put a towel over the TV as you couldn’t turn it off and the fan in the bathroom doesn’t turn off either. The heating also didn’t really work but I still had a great sleep here for my stopover. The shuttle was also super handy!
