For a luxury hotel we were disappointed by the service.
1. Had a bottle of champagne which we had taken to celebrate our wedding anniversary taken off us. Was told we could drink it in the bar but the bar was very smoky and they wanted to charge corkage more than the cost of the bottle.
2. Room was only made up for 1. Had to ask twice for two of everything.
3. Water and coffee in room not replenished each day. Did ask but it was not done.
4. Looked like prostitution going on in the bar. Same women there each night with different men. The women were clearly known to the bar staff. There was a man at the bar who each woman checked in with before sitting alone before joining other men. Made for interesting watching.
Positives were that the standard double room was big, bed really comfy.

The staff at the hotel went over and above international standards to make our stay an unforgettable experience.
The hotel offers a soft ambience set in luxury with a old world charm that is truly unique.
I would highly recommend this hotel above all other hotels in Oran.

A very nicely kept hotel. Basic elegance. Bar available. Spa and gym closed during pandemic. Ordinary breakfast with limited structure to the service organisation (many staff, limited outcome). Very good bed. Rooms were kept perfectly. Air port shuttle can be ordered in advance. Limited use of the reception desk when in need of PCR laboratory on a Friday (find excellent service at Laboratoire Belarbi), when in need of advise about a cash point accepting international bank cards (refer yourself to BNP, far away but it’s the only one working), or when in need of tourist recommendations. Order a quality taxi at the reception or take the usual ones at the street. Closest good restaurant is La Cintra on the same street. The Fort Santa Cruz is easily available by taxi. Royal hotel will definitely be my choice on my next visit.

Not the best hotel but very convenient location

We was here for 4 days business trip, and it's nice place to stay in this luxury hotel. It's safe and with many unique paintings which you cannot find in other hotels, but the outside traffic and train making serious noises.

Compared to other hotels in Algeria this one is very good, even the best we have had in three weeks. In Algiers we have been to much more expensive places that could not compete with this hotel.

Stayed there between 14th-21st September 2015. I was picked up from the airport on time and I got to the hotel within twenty minutes or so. I had a lovely room on the fourth floor (415), with a large balcony, view over the boulevard and a great sea view. You can see "front mer".
The room mini bar was replenished every day with soft drinks, fizzy and non fizzy water. I greatly appreciated the welcome gesture of a miniature mouse/cookies when I got back to my room, on the day of arrival.
The hotel location is perfect for sightseeing, walking distance to various sought after places. I was born in Oran and I've never stayed in a hotel there before, because I have family near by but I have enjoyed my own space, the peace and quiet after a busy day.
The hotel offers a large selection of breakfast items, cooked fresh to order.
I must say that I stayed in various hotels both in Europe and USA and I must say this hotel focus was not getting you to pay for every little extra things. You can sit at the bar and enjoy an expresso, at no extra charge during your breakfast time. I had by breakfast delivered to my room again at no extra charge.
I would definitely recommend and stay at this hotel again.

This hotel is amazing! So beautiful and elegant! The whole hotel is like a boutique hotel, very well furnished and decorated with such a fine taste! It is really special. The breakfast was just delicious, everything was fresh and a great verity of fruits, pastries and bread. Staff at breakfast was helpful and nice. Honestly, if you are looking for a wonderful place to stay in Oran, this is the one and only!! I loved it!!
