Wonderful place to stay in Tangier. Great location, lovely courtyard, beautifully decorated room. Friendly staff.

Our family loved the stay at Palais Zahia!!!! Location is excellent, right in the middle of medina and close to everything. Rooms are clean and spacious. Restaurant serves excellent food. Decor and design is simply beautiful. Arranging pickups and tours was super easy - everything one needs all in 1 place.
Everyone at the hotel is what tops the experience!! So nice and accommodating; really made us feel like family.

We had a wonderful two night stay at the Palais Zahia. The hotel is situated right in the Medina and very conveniently located to explore the Medina and the Kasbah. The ferry terminal is also a short walk away. The hotel offered us complimentary tea on arrival and the room was nice and comfortable. The hotel arranged transfer to and from the Ferry terminal and then to Chefchaouen at a reasonable rate.
Staff was wonderful specially Mohammad and The manager, Sukaina.
The dinner at the hotel restaurant was great too.

Nicest hotel we stayed at in Morocco. Rooms and lobby are breathtaking, and the buffet breakfast was delicious and had many wonderful options that we did not see elsewhere in Morocco. The bed was especially comfortable. Great location in the medina and not too far to walk from the ferry terminal, though a cab would be useful if traveling with heavy luggage. Wish we had a few more days here as it was a truly wonderful stay. Staff was extremely helpful and even offered a free walking tour through the medina. Massage and spa services were also available though we didn't have enough time to try. Would definitely recommend to anyone visiting Tangier!

The staff at Palais Zahia are warm and welcoming and the hotel itself is a gem of Moroccan artistry. It’s centrally located in the medina in a busy square, great as a launching point for exploring on foot.
The third floor terrace offers lovely views of the harbor. Breakfast, which is included, offers pastries, breads, fruit, confitures, and some fresh vegetables and olives.
We had dinner in the hotel one evening; menu is Moroccan. We didn’t care for our fish dishes so much, but we were also getting a little tired of Moroccan fare. Service is excellent all around. The Palais does not serve alcohol. Our TV didn’t work and they couldn’t figure out how to fix it, but we didn’t need it anyway. The property can be a little noisy as Tangier stays up late and the morning call to prayer can be rousing. Be sure to pull your soundproof window closed at night😉 It was a special place to stay! Public Parking is down the hill on Blvd Mohammed V. Call hotel ahead to arrange help getting your luggage up the hill. Parking is not included but also not expensive.

If you want to stay somewhere which feels traditionally Moroccan then it should be here. Set in the middle of the medina amongst the markets and bars. Decor is how beautifully Moroccan and the staff are some of the most polite and helpful people I have met in the hospitality industry. Taxis can only take you so far into the Medina and you need to walk a couple of minutes to get to the hotel. It is tucked away and you could easily miss it, the taxi driver asked a local man to guide us. The Moroccan tea they offer you on arrival, taken in an area set up in the traditional Moroccan home style was a lovely touch. Would definately recommend and stay again.

This hotel was a gem. It was our first time to Morocco and they made the experience just wonderful. The hotel promptly picked us up at the ferry terminal tag was waiting for us in the lobby of the hotel. The manager sat down with us (along with traditional tea) and provided us with all the information we needed to make our stay in Tangier enjoyable. The hotel decor was clean and beautiful. The rooms were very comfortable and clean and the breakfast was beautiful and delicious. Will definitely stay here on our next visit.

Lovely and friendly. Convenient location for Tanger Ville port.

This hotel was beautiful, comfortable and very clean. The staff was excellent, so inviting and welcoming. The food was excellent as well. The bonus was the tour guide who works through the hotel. Her name is Lina Amrani. What a wonderful person she is! She was kind, generous and thorough as she guided us through the streets of the old city as well as the new. She is in love with her city and lives not far from the hotel. We felt very safe and comfortable with her and our driver. If you are ever in Tangier, stay here and ask for Lina Amrani to be your guide you will never forget her or this beautiful hotel.

We had a great time here! The staff was friendly and helpful, the room was comfortable, and the central location was a treat. The breakfast was a nice addition and we enjoyed all that Tangier had to offer.

Incredible decor and attentive staff. Difficult to sleep well in our floor 1 room due to street noise. Would be more comfortable with a separate bed sheet and softer towels.

We were a little apprehensive about going to Morocco. We are American, and don’t speak anything other than English. We have never been to a Muslim country, but really wanted to try it. For anyone in this situation, this hotel is the perfect solution. Upon checkin we were given tea and cookies. An employee sat down with us to explain Tangier, and all of the options. (Tours, spa, etc). He also spoke English. They arranged our transportation to and from the airport, our driver to Chefchaouen, and our trips to the spa. We loved the breakfast and lunch. The hotel is gorgeous and so clean. The staff were beyond kind. We thought it was super cool to open our balcony door and look out on the Medina. The call to prayer scared the poo out of us the first time we heard it (we had no idea lol). The only real complaint I could come up with was the location is a bit loud (but that’s part of the experience) and the shower is smaller than a cruise ship. But I wouldn’t stay anywhere else if I went back. Totally safe day and night. Thank you!

Best staff ever.

Great hotel. First of all, it is beautiful inside. Second, and I can’t say it any louder, the staff is great. Abed at the front desk goes out of his way to make sure everything is perfect. I had an issue and he went above and beyond. Great location too!

The design and features of the property are amazing and immediately gives you a 'wow' feature. The welcome drinks on the terrace was lovely and the staff were very friendly.
There were plenty of places to relax around the hotel and it was very safe.
The room was nice, although the toilet seat has broken on one side, the shower doors didn't close and TV was vastly German but this didn't spoil the experience.
The continental breakfast was lovely, lots of options for all diets.
It's extremely well located, in the middle of the medina, close to Cafe Tingis which I recommend to spend some time and take in the evening street entertainment.
Whilst travellers complain about being pestered by shop vendors, it's their livelihood and they rely on tourists to survive, so tourists should support them where possible and be polite without causing offence.
I would stay again and in a larger room.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. They were very accommodating.

The staff was incredible, super helpful and accommodating. Location is also great: You are right in the middle of Tangier Kasbah. If you have large luggage, make sure to request transportation from the hotel as regular taxi will not be able to get to the hotel.

Everything about this place is 5 star. However the staff and the service they render is among the best I have experienced. They go out of their way to help you and with a smile. Housekeeping, restaurant, reception, and management do exceptionally well serving the clientele.

This is a superb facility with a tasteful Moroccan decor. The staff was exceptionally courteous and helpful. The meals were delicious. I especially enjoyed my first hammam experience!! My only very slight criticism is that our beautifully appointed room did not have any good light for reading.

Avoid if you can, leaking bathroom shower stall, fake smiles, except for our first morning reception, maybe the manager, in a brown suit.
Terrible food. Our last morning reception is different person, the 6.30am guy in spectacles that tried to charge us for taxes and we already paid the night before with credit card receipt, they kept our official paid invoice at the reception and didn’t give it to us the night before we already paid for everything as we were trying to board our taxi to rush to the train station.
The chef and housekeeping are accommodating and friendly.
The hotel is old, charming, but our room was very old with mould, and peeling paint.

Palais Zahia went above and beyond. What a gorgeous hotel with friendly staff and just the nicest experience ever! If you come to Tangier you must stay here.

Amazing Palais in middle of busy Tangier Medina - great staff and rooms and breakfast - live music at night !

The Palais is a great location in Tangier and if you book transport, Abdul will bring you directly to the door in the Medina. Suite 1, Sultan is an elegant accommodation, but be prepared for morning prayers coming from the mosque nearby. It's part of the culture in this wonderful country. Breakfast buffet is ample with great service. Same with dinner next to the fireplace. We booked a private tour on our 2nd day to Chefchaouen and nearby Falls with their excellent guide and the driver, Abdul. It was an incredible day! Enough can not be said about the staff. Always friendly, always ready to help. We look forward to our next stay.

The hotel is lovely with a warm and welcoming staff. The decor was beautiful. The restaurant was convenient and a very nice breakfast was served daily. This was our first time in Tangier and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. The best part of all was our tour guide who works for the hotel. We took private tours 2 days in a row and saw more than we could imagine in such a short time.

A genuine tradtional riad with polite and helpful service. Abed, Zineb, Saad and Othman could not do enough for us. A short walk to corniche.
