Everything was beyond our expectations. The hotel staff and the manager, Ms. Lula, who is present daily at the location, are very kind and friendly. They made us feel at home. Every day at the pool bar, they celebrate like it's a party ongoing. The rooms are exactly like in the pictures: very clean; the towels and bed sheets are changed daily; clean bathroom. In the garden, you can hide from the sun and relax in beds under the beautiful palm trees. The water in the pools is filtered with oxygen, which is not harmful for you. The wi-fi had a surprisingly good signal everywhere, even at the beach sunbeds. The sandy beach is not crowdy, we could find sunbeds at any hour (front row), and the water is not deep at the shore, so it is suitable for little children too. The hotel is situated in a quiet area of Malia, just 30 minutes from the Heraklion airport. Traditional tavernas are very close to the property, with fresh seafood and fish. Also close to supermarkets, where you can find a great variety of products from food to cosmetics. The bus station, 1 km away, with buses every 30 minutes, can take you to the Crete Aquarium or Dinosauria Park, great locations for kids in the nearby town of Gouves. You don't need to rent a car. Also, the property is close to the Cretan Medicare Malia (hospital) in case of need. There is a waterpark with slides just behind the property.

Great pool area, right on the beach. Very hospitable, lots of fun, everything is great. Rooms are very clean, there is deep cleaning everyday.

You can’t really open the windows because it gets full of mosquitoes that will not let you sleep at night. It was decreasing our fun. some window nets would have been useful.

Staff is amazing, super friendly and always ready to help. The beach was wonderful! It’s a very modern hotel and excellently located in Malia.

The A/C in our room never worked. The sheets were very stiff and uncomfortable, so it made it very difficult to sleep.

This place exceeded my expectations. I came with my 2 children for a mini break and couls t be happier with the experience we had here. I originally wasn't keen to go to Malia but now I've stayed here I would definitely go back. It was lovely and relaxing place to stay, very clean and the staff were amazing. I highly recommend Akrogiali.

Great location, beachfront, very friendly staff

Akrogiali must be the best 3-star hotel on Crete. Extremely friendly staff, excellent location, rooms clean and comfortable. And the beach....Amazing!

The hotel has a beautiful pool, access to the beach and an amazing poolside restaurant which is the hub of Akrogiali Beach Hotel. It is set in a great spot in the resort. Away from the main strip but close enough to walk there.

Wi-fi was disappointing in the bedroom and the bed sheets were a little stiff.
