Theres a loud banging noise that lasted all my ten days there. Was it in the pipes maybe? I have no idea

Hotel was in such a good location, an easy subway ride to anywhere in the city! Loved our room, two shared the king bed and one used the pull out couch in the entry room which made for a good solo room/space. Cute bathroom, lots of mirrors all over the room which was great for a room with 3 girls!! I would definitely stay again!

Location was good, but that is all.
I was promised a Queen Deluxe room with wooden floor, nice window with view etc. I got a room with dirty and stinky carpet (yes the room smelled bad) with a view to a 1-2 metres dark whole btw the buildings. The air-conditioning machine was making a weird noice in my room, plus when in the bath room, there was strong outside noice (coming from central heating or similar source). I went down to the reception and complained about the fact that the room wasn't what I was promised and had paid for. The receptionist said that this was the last room and he can't do anything. I feel that I was ripped of and want to make this reclamation of it. I make all my business bookings through Booking.com so I should have compenstion on this case.

Location was good but I would recommend reading all the reviews before booking!!
Booked a city view room but ended up with a room facing a brick wall. Asked to move and was given a room on 2nd floor with ‘street view’ was told the room would be noisy because of the street however the noise coming from inside the room was way worse than street noise. Mini fridge was buzzing all night and rattling pipes in the bathroom. Complained to reception at 3:30am who told me they would upgrade my room, didn’t say I had to pay for the upgrade. Spoke to hotel manager in the morning who said it would be an extra $125 to upgrade. We bit the bullet and upgraded only to find cockroaches in the bathroom the next morning … complained to receptionist while checking out and they said they would refund the upgrade. Currently waiting for refund to come through
Also said it has a rooftop bar but this was closed on our stay. Rooftop bar did have a glimpse of the top of Empire State Building.
Would not stay here or recommend.

The location
The rattling all night long in the pipes? The maids use the elevators. Causing there to be none for me.
5.0
The location is perfect and the property has a distinct style.
There was clearly a problem with the pipes throughout, the lobby smelt of plumbing issues, and so did our room at times. Our room was supposed to have a city view, but due to issues in other available rooms (including a plumbing one and construction outside) we ended up having an interior courtyard view.
Beware that in the end they charged an additional $25 per night for “facilities use”, which does not feel like an honest system given Booking’s price typically includes everything.

Room floor was very dirty. Felt sticky to walk around barefoot and the hotel didn’t provide slippers.
8.0
The property is close to 33rd street and park avenue 1 stop from grand central. Empire State Building (ESB) is with walking distance. Stay were friendly, helpful & attentive. Rooftop bar is pleasant place for a drink whilst snapping pics of the ESB
WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS PLACE
Ordering Breakfast or snacks was slow and tortuous. Orders had to relayed to kitchen by walkie talkie. There was only 1 staff member on and the ‘systems’ need improving - lots of eateries around so not a great issue but rather annoying

Everything. Location, room, cleanness, bed, everything was great!

Nice decor
room was tiny, scaffolding out the front blocking any light, doors slam on the hallways VERY loudly, windows dirty

it’s stylish flair with great staff. modern twist on tradition.
a few things - I had to move rooms due to bathroom water pipe noises. which was great as I ended up in a bigger room but then that room had a creaking bed and the bathroom light stopped working. so just a few things need checking they work rather than just being cleaned.

The location was good.
We paid extra to get breakfast included and we feel truly deceived. Breakfast was only a coffe (and not even all coffees were included!) and a pastry, we were so disappointed and had to go out to buy breakfast everyday. The rooms facing the street is not soundproof, you can hear everything, hard to sleep.

Overall, accommodations were fine
The staff saw me struggling with 4 heavy bags (returning from college, on my way to LA) and no-one offered any help or pointed me to a luggage cart

the 24 hour front desk. Very friendly. location anazing. very clean!
the construction at front of hotel, but nothing the hotel can control.

friendly staff, always helpful, especially the receptionist Samantha was very nice and helpful, the bed in the room was comfortable, the room was clean
they didn't bring breakfast for lunch, you could only buy something small in the hotel cafe, the window of the room faced the courtyard wall

perfect location, very clean rooms, friendly and knowledgeable staff.
the coffee from the cafe not so great, no microwave or coffeemaker in the room and $7 for a bottle of water, seriously $7

Lovely hotel, great location. We were given an upgrade which was really nice. The hotel exceeded my expectations and I would definitely stay again.

Location is perfect and central. 5 mins walk from empire state building or only 30 mins walk from central park. Breakfast from hotel is lovely. Although the room slightly was on the smaller side given the location it was very good value for money and bed was very comfortable. Staff were all lovely and we didn't find the hotel to be noisy during the night.
We were not front facing and our window faced out onto a wall so we found the room slightly dark but would not put us off re-booking this hotel if we were to return to NYC

The hotel lobby was really nice and the bathroom was spacious!
The room itself was very small and we found a massive bug in the room. The hotel seemed clean, so I'm sure it was just a fluke, but definitely freaked us out.
9.0
The room was good, the bathroom was well appointed and honestly we were so happy to see a real door not a glass door for a change. Also they had the bathroom light on a dimmer switch so you could use it as a nightlight - very useful. The bed was comfy and air conditioning was great without sounding like a jet engine. Made for a great stay.
It would have been nice to have some hooks on the walls- hotels never give enough hangers and the closet space and drawer space is always tiny so hooks or pegs on the wall would have been great. Also there was no coffee maker or hot water kettle so it meant going out to grab a coffee each day. Lastly blackout curtains would have been nice but the shades were ok.

amazing location, very comfortable (and large) bed, fantastic shower
no coffee facilities in room

Location is great, staff were friendly.
Queen room was TINY. lobby area was dirty and the pictures don’t represent the actual rooms. I wouldn’t say this is a 4 star hotel, more closer to 3.
Our room was dark and dinghy, and looked out to a stone wall.
