I love the property

The room and the whole hotel are historic, but in a very good shape. When you go upstairs, there's this huge lobby (atrium) and the rooms are positioned around that. Really cool! Bathroom was great too.

No breakfast options - but well, there's great coffee next door, so no problem to find something.

Everything about the room was great! Besides all the hair that was in the bathroom, and the red towel. Other then that, we loved the environment!

Spacious room, very clean, comfortable beds, In room refrigerator, Coffee and pastry bar in the morning. Did appreciate loading zone in front of the hotel.

Thermostat in room did not work – pre-set at 68°, which is too cold for us. Wish there had been Staff available to help with the luggage. Need a tray or box to carry coffee and tea back to the room. Need a guide in the room so we know numbers for various TV channels.

A nicely renovated "Historic" property in the SW side of downtown Spokane. My room was comfortable and spacious looking out onto downtown. An easy stroll to any of the downtown attractions, with restaurants, breweries, and shopping close at hand. I was only in town for 1 night but the Montvale Hotel clicked all the boxes I was looking for. Highly recommended and I will stay again on my next trip to town.

Love the hotel. Our room was spacious. The air conditioner kept the room nice and cool. Our room was clean. The only downside is parking. The lot is down an alley and isn't secured. But overall a great stay.

Check-in and reservation booking was easy. Parking was easy. Historical aspect of the building was cool. Staff was helpful and friendly. The price was ok.

Hate to say it but the coffee was undrinkable. I'm pretty sure the coffee was reused from at least a day prior. This is a very cool building but the motif was just weird and very sad. I get eclectic but it really felt like a strange mish mash of decorations including a strange dead palm plant. A very simple and inexpensive update to the common areas would go a long way. Fact is that people get a vibe from a place based on how it looks. They pay for an experience and tell their friends to come too if they like the experience. I didn't get the feeling like I wanted to hang out and use the facilities. It's not welcoming. It feels like a long distance after thought. Just want to see you succeed and be competitive in downtown Spokane. It's very possible.
