Old decor and expensive for what was provided. No electric blanket. Information in room did not apply to the room - e.g talked about a dishwasher. Driveway in and parking spots were tight.

Excellent location. Short walk to beach, shops, eateries and supermarket. We went for a short winter break- Lorne much quieter than the peak of summer. Yes not all shops and food places were open (great time for owners to have a break) but still plenty of options. Didn’t need to drive anywhere for 2 days- plenty of nearby walking spots. So relaxing!

No negatives

It was situated in a perfect location. It had everything you would need for a wonderful stay. The rooms were spotless. The hosts were always extremely helpful when needed. Parking was private.

Location is above the main street, so handy to everything - never had to use the car. Got upgraded to an apartment room, so plenty of space, and good facilities. The balcony was nice with view over the main street - couldnt see the ocean though.

Could hear the voices from a neighbouring room late in the evening - would have expected more sound proofing. Had trouble finding good restaurants open in the middle of the week - made worse by a big conference in town - not the fault of the accomodation

The location of the hotel, the comfort of the room & the size of the room was really good. Perfect location as you are on the Main Street of Lorne, walking distance to the beach, cafes, bars, restaurants and shops.

A very strange way to enter the hotel by driving up a steep car park entrance on the main footpath of Lorne. I found this to be very strange & dangerous.

Unfriendly and unhelpful staff. asked if we could shift our booking by 24h - the answer was no despite the room being available. Asked if we could check out late - the answer was no despite there being no guests checking in after us as there were rooms still available. Asked if we could use the pool on the day of checkout - the answer was a vague and grumpy yes/no. Shame, as this could be a great place, but it just needs new owners.
